Chapter 8

Bella's p.o.v

I quickly ran upstairs into father's bedroom and found mother on the floor with ripped clothes, she had bruises on her face and body, i quickly helped her up and walked with her slowly to my room, then helped her get on the bed as carefully as she could.

She lay down slowly while biting her lower lip, i went in my bathroom and quickly got a clothe i found folded on a table near the bath tub, i switched on the tap and wetted it.

I quickly closed the tap and squeezed the clothe, then went back in my bedroom and sat next to her, i slowly wiped off the blood that was on her nose and mouth.

"Mother I'm sorry, i didn't know father would hit you" i said sadly as she smiled in pain.

"Its not your fault, he usually gets upset" she whispered.

What did she mean? Did he usually beat her up when he was upset?

"Where is your father?" She asked lowly.

"He rushed out with lady cecil" i answered.

"Why would they rush out this late? At such an hour?" She asked as i looked down and faced the floor.

"Karelia, what did you do?" Mother asked.

"Well i..i.i i might have hit lady cecil with my desk touch" i answered as she painfully sat upright.

"My dear God, what have you done? You need to run away now" mother said in pants.

"Why?" I asked as she stepped down, i quickly held her hand.

"You need to run away please, if the lady was badly injured he will kill you, the lady is carrying his only heir to everything" she said with emphasis.

Crap,he really was going to kill me,i needed to run away.

"Mother come with me" i said as i held her tightly and walked with her downstairs slowly.

If mother was this scared of him, that meant he was dangerous,i wasn't going to stay another second in this house, were ever i was going to go, she was coming with me.

When we reached downstairs,she stopped moving and looked at the blood that was on the ground,then at me.

"I will explain later" i said as i opened the door and went out with her.

"Mother do you know any place we could go to?" I asked lowly.

"No, no one here can be willing to take in a poor injured person" she answered as we tried to move a little faster, the road was dark and cold.

"Karelia is that you?" A familiar voice asked behind us as i stopped moving with mother and stood still.

"Hey Karelia" it called again.

"Mother can you manage to stand for just a short while please" i begged.

"Sure" she answered as i let her hand go.

I slowly turned and looked at the man with forming tears.

"Karelia are you okay?" He asked as I ran to him and hugged him while he hugged me back, i couldn't help but weep in his arms.

"Hey its alright, you must have been very scared to walk alone with aunty at this late hour" he said as i sobbed out loudly.

"It's alright now, stop crying" he said.

"Andy, Andy" i cried out.

After crying on the road for what seemed like an hour, i pulled back and looked at Andy.

"What happened?" He asked as i pointed at mother who was now sited on the ground.

"Father hit mother, now she's badly injured" i said.

He quickly went to mother and lifted her up.

"You could have told me sooner, lets go to my inn quickly" he said as i walked next by him,matching his pace.

I followed him happily.

"Don't worry, she will be fine, i will treat her wounds" he said as i smiled.

How did he know that i was so worried.

"Andy I'm very much grateful for your help" i said.

"Don't be funny Karelia in such a place and time, this is not the hour to play jokes " he said.

I sighed lowly and kept quite, was i saying unnecessary things?

We reached a small inn in no time, i quickly opened the door and stepped in, Andy did too, he went to the bed and put mother down carefully and gently.

He looked so serious focusing on mother while he got an oil lamp and put it next to the bed stand.

"You can go outside if you want, i will be quick, i know you don't like the sight of blood" he said as i slowly walked out and stood outside.

Its not that i didn't like the sight of blood, i was sure it was Karelia who didn't, but if i was to stay back, they would both suspect me because of acting different.

I waited patiently for him to finish as i looked at the bright full moon and stars, the view was so beautiful, it made me feel at peace and relaxed.

The door opened and Andy came out, he stood next to me with a deep sigh.

"Her bruises were not server, i have managed to treat her" he said as i sighed out in relief.

"Thank you Andy" i said lowly.

"Will you stop with that name?" He asked as i faced him.

"What name?" I asked back a bit confused.

"I'm not Andy you know, I'm Michael" he said as i looked at him with loss of words.

"I'm sorry, i must have forgotten your name" i said as he folded his arms.

"What do you mean by that? We are old friends and you usually come here to paint the stars with me" he said as i felt stuck.

So he was my old friend and also the reason i snuck out at night, he was the useless man father talked about, i laughed out faking it.

"It was a joke, i know pretty well who you are" i answered with a smile, when I felt his soft lips on mine i pulled back in surprise and looked at him.

"Is there anything wrong? We are lovers after all, kissing comes naturally" he said as i cleared my throat.

"Oh yes, i was just caught off guard" i answered with a smile.

"Who the hell are you?" He asked as i took in a sharp breath.

"I asked you a question, who are you and don't try and answer me that you are Karelia because you are not, don't even try to come up with a story such as memory loss" he said coldly.

Oh shit I was so screwed
