Chapter 29

Haggai's p.o.v

I went upstairs with her in my arms feeling sad, i carefully put her on the bed as she lay down, i gently brushed her hair when she broke down crying, i tried calming her down but it was of no use. 

I gently pulled her on my laps and embraced her as she cried, this was no time to feel bad she really needed me. 

"I want to be in the past, i want Karelia's life, i miss him, i want that past back, i don't want to be a heartless cold hearted bitch anymore, i feel sick and tired, i can't even sleep properly, i really miss him" she cried. 

I wasn't sure what she really meant but one thing was clear, the one she longed for wasn't me, the one she truly loved wasn't here. 

"Hey baby it's fine, it will all get better" i whispered as i kissed her head lightly. 

"Michael, Michael, Michael" she whispered over and over again as she cried. 

I did this to her, i had no idea i broke her this much, the man she was yearning for must have been her shoulder when i broke her heart, my heart was breaking seeing her this broken, i wept silently. 

"Ssshhh baby, it's all my fault, i regret hurting you this badly, i deserve death, i ruined your life, i take back my rejection" i whispered in tears. 

She slowly looked up and faced me, sadness was showing in her expression and eyes, she slowly touched my wrist and closed her eyes, i looked at my wrist as the tattoo disappeared, she slowly opened her eyes and sighed lowly, she looked pretty much tired. 

"I have lifted your curse, you can now kill me, you have your strength back" she whispered as she fainted in my arms. 

I quickly felt her pulse and breathed out relived. 

I heard a low growl in my mind. 

'Stan? Stan?' I called silently. 

"What did you do to our mate?" He growled as i smiled widely. 

"Nothing, it seems she's tired, don't worry Stan i took back my rejection, i wont repeat the same mistake twice, i will love her and work hard for her forgiveness, i have now realized how much she's worth' i answered. 

"It's about damn time you asshole know how much she means to us" he said. 

I gently lay her on the bed and lay next to her, i pulled her closer in my arms then kissed her head. 

Now that Stan was back, i was back as alpha both in rank and strength, it was just a mater of rest, my leg would completely heal, my goal was to spend as much time with her as possible and shower her with all the love i felt. 

Ryan was doing fine handling the company without me, he wouldn't mind to continue for some few weeks or months. 

"I love you, and i promise you this Bella, i will do everything in my power to make you happy" i whispered as i closed my eyes.

Bella's p.o.v

I woke up feeling much better, i slowly sat upright and stepped down, i went in the bathroom and brushed my teeth then washed my face. 

I came out of the bathroom and found Haggai sited down on the bed, i remembered very well i lifted his curse giving him back his full strength, why didn't he kill me? I really made him suffer, maybe he wanted me in my best health before he could kill me. 

He stood up and stepped in front of me as i closed my eyes waiting for the pain i would go through, i felt a gentile kiss on my forehead, i quickly opened my eyes and looked at him. 

"I'm glad you had a goodnight sleep, you look much better than yesterday, i have prepared breakfast for you, i came here to wake you up, fortunately for me you are already awake" he said as i stared at him speechlessly. 

He swept me off my feet and went with me downstairs, i didn't want to struggle any more, he walked in the kitchen when Ryan and some warriors looked at us they quickly bowed, Haggai sat down with me on his laps, the warriors walked out leaving Ryan behind. 

"Hey i have to go to work, I will see you soon, Luna I'm glad you are feeling much better" he said with a smile then went out. 

I kept quiet not knowing how to react or what to do, the only thing i knew was i no longer wanted to fight or treat everyone like they were beneath me. 

I tensed when i felt soft lips on the back of my neck. 

I was about to step out of his arms when haggai's mother walked in, she looked at us then moved closer with a smile. 

"How are you feeling today honey?" She asked softy. 

Was she talking to me? I wondered, i turned and looked at Haggai who was smiling at me, i looked at his mother then pointed at myself. 

"Yes you child, yesterday you looked pale and sick, how are you feeling?" She asked again. 

Why were they acting kindly with me? Have they forgotten i was the bitch that shamed their alpha and threatened them all. 

"Why are you acting kind? Have you forgotten how i made your son suffer" i asked lowly. 

"That's all in the past now, what matters is that Haggai is happy, and you lifted his curse, i thought of you as an evil witch who would only be satisfied after seeing his death but i now know i was wrong, you do have a kind heart like Haggai said, you suffered a lot because of him and for that i apologize on his behalf" she said as i felt tears form in my eyes. 

"Mother please stop making her feel bad, i don't want her crying again, she cried a lot yesternight" Haggai said loudly as she smiled. 

"Sorry, how about i serve us some breakfast?" She asked. 

"That sound's great, right Bella, is toast okay?" He asked as i nodded lowly.
