Chapter 7

Bella's p.o.v

I hugged myself when a cold breeze swept by.

This was the worst, not only was i in the past, i was stuck in someone else's body for some reason i had no idea of.

"Karelia!! Karelia!!" I heard the lady's voice ahead, it sounded desperate, i stood up and followed it, when she saw me she quickly ran to me and embraced me with tears.

"You scared me" she cried, i slowly hugged her back.

"I'm sorry mother " i answered back.

I quickly pulled back, why the hell was i calling her that? Was she Karelia's mother?

"Are you Karelia's mother?" I asked as she looked at me seriously.

I knew the question sounded weird, but i really wanted to know, she burst out in laughter then held my hands.

"You really are a good daughter, i thank the heavens every day for giving me a princess as clever as you, now lets go back before we catch a cold" she said as i nodded.

We slowly went back in silence, i had a lot i wanted to ask, sadly all i could do was put the pieces together all by myself, all i knew right now was that this lady beside me is or was Karelia's mother making her my mother too, the huge man who hit me was my father, and for some unknown reason i usually sneaked out.

I looked at the huge house that was in front of us, was my father a rich man?

"Lets go in " the lady said.

We slowly walked in and found a richly dressed lady waiting for us near the stairs, her face was filled with disgust as she looked at us.

"You really have guts huh? I knew it, you were the one all along helping your daughter sneak out and meet that useless nobody, wait till my lord comes, i will gladly tell him" she said.

"Please lady cecil don't tell him, i beg of you" my mother said as she knelt down and bowed low.

I looked at the evil woman angrily.

"If you will hand over the ring on your finger, i wont" she said as mother sat upright and looked at the ring with tears.

"My lady, did you say hand it over? but the ring is the only thing that i have,that my lord gave to me from deep down his heart" she cried as i folded my hands in anger.

"Really? We both know that the ring deserves to be mine, you should be the concubine and i his one and only wife, I'm sure he made a mistake in giving you that, if he truly loved you he couldn't have taken me for a second wife, he was displeased with you that's why he married me, i make him happy, i am his only wife" she said as i angrily punched her.

She fell on the first stair step with a scream, mother looked at me in shock.

I quickly helped mother up and went upstairs with her in my room ignoring the cries that came from the wicked woman who was left on the floor.

"Mother are you okay?" I asked softly as we sat down.

"Yes thank you, Karelia were did you learn to fight? A lady should never be this violent" she said sadly as i laughed nervously.

"Um..u.m i just did that out of nowhere, you know i don't fight mother, but she was so disrespectful towards you, i got angry" i said as mother laughed lowly.

"She's always like that ever since your father took her in for a wife, lets do like we always do, that's ignoring her, I'm just a poor lady who came from a poor background, as for her lady cecil, she's a true lady who came from a prestigious family, her words hold more value than ours, next time don't hit her no matter how angry you get okay" she said as i smiled.

This woman was truly an angel.

"She hit me, that daughter of a nobody hit me to shut me up, just because i found out that maria was the one helping her taint our family name!" The lady who i leaned her name was lady cecil screamed, i heard footsteps moving closer to my room.

Mother quickly wiped off her tears and stood up.

The door opened and father entered with lady cecil behind him.

He moved closer and grabbed my mother's collar dress.

"Is it true?!! Is it true!!!" He yelled as mother kept quiet, i stood up and moved closer.

"Father it is not....

"It is true" mother answered as she covered my sentence up.

Father dragged mother out of the room as i followed angrily, he walked in the room opposite to mine and locked the door, i hit the door with my hand when i heard loud hits, mothers screams were loud, was he hitting her? i pushed the door with my shoulders trying to break it in anger.

"I don't know why i have ever loved you, you are a disgrace, both you and your stupid daughter " he yelled as mother begged for his forgiveness.

If he was going to hit mother like that, i had no choice too.

I quickly went in my room and picked up the lamp touch on my desk and went downstairs, lady cecil looked at me with laughter as she moved closer.

"Did you think he would let you and your useless mother hit me? You are nothing but trash to him!!" She yelled as i lifted the lamp and smashed it on her head, she screamed loudly in pain as she fell down.

This was not the present time i so cared about, this time i wouldn't let the people i love suffer, i wouldn't care if i was killed or not, after all this body was not mine.

"I want you to scream louder than mother so he can hear you" i said as i hit her stomach with my leg angrily.

She screamed louder as she cried, i stopped when i saw blood on her lower half, was she pregnant?

The door opened, shortly i heard footsteps descend.

Father looked at me then at lady cecil, he quickly rushed to her and knelt down.

"Cecil" he called as he shifted his gaze to her lower half.

"No!" He screamed, he lifted her up and rushed out of the room with her.
