Michaels p.o.v

I waited patiently for an honest answer, one thing i was so certain about, was that this imposter beside me was not my close friend.

Karelia loved her mother but she only cared about herself, she was what we called selfish, she couldn't rush her mother at night even if aunty was injured, its not even the first time that her mother was hit this badly this must be the tenth or twentieth time, she always watched quietly as her mother suffered.

Karelia was also not a fighter, when i was attending to Aunty's wounds, i couldn't help but ask what had happen for them to be out in the cold at night, aunty told me how Karelia had hit the mistress of the house badly, and how she had taken care of her wounds, Karelia hated the sight of blood and wounds.

When i went outside, she called me Andy, i tried to figure her out and so i lied.

I told her that she came here at night to paint with me, when the truth was she usually came here to talk about how she wished to marry some lord from a rich house, i being in love with her tolerated it.

The imposter fell for my lie even when i kissed her and lied about us being lovers, she took it well, while the real Karelia would have yelled at me and hit me.

This standing next to me wasn't her, if she had lost her memory i would have heard about it, news traveled fast here, although i was the last one to hear any news because i lived alone near the Forrest i still would have heard, our country had two different sides, the rich town side, were only people with status or riches lived, if you were poor and lived there you were to be treated as dirt, then there was the poor town side were it was full of crime and high birth rate, i met Karelia when i was only 12, then my parents were well to do.

Karelia's mother was just a poor town lady who fell in love with a man from a rich family, he quickly married her in secret and they had a daughter together, but when people came he would force Karelia's mother to pretend to be a servant, years went on and they continued the act, i and Karelia became close friends sadly i lost my parents in a car accident, my fathers family took everything of value leaving me with nothing, many in that town laughed at me and made me feel uncomfortable, i quickly sold my house and bought an inn that was far away from the rich town.

As years went on People started questioning Karelia's father as to why he was still unmarried, fearing that they would take away his statues or make him a laughing stock when they discover that he married a nobody, he made a deal with lady cecil to bear him an heir be it female or male, lady cecil agreed right away in exchange of marriage, he later married her as the second wife, lady cecil was hard on Karelia and her mother, Karelia came here to tell me about everything since she only had me for a friend, her father had forbidden her to play with anyone fearing she could expose that she was born from a low life, her only hope was to marry a rich man with statues and be taken away.

But this lady right in front of me was not the Karelia i knew.

Bella's p.o.v

I told him most of the truth and he listened attentively.

"So you are from another time?" He asked.

"Yes and I'm telling you the truth please believe me" i said seriously.

"I do believe you for some reason, i know very well when Karelia lies" he answered as i looked at him.

"How? And why have you believed me easily" I asked as he laughed.

"I have my reasons" he answered.

I slowly sat down with a sigh.

"So what now?" I asked.

"I would suggest you stay here for the time being, no one in your family knows were i stay and i can't tell you to go back, if lady cecil really had a miscarriage, your father will be looking for you and your mother, he won't kill you there and then, first he will punish you severely, and i think lady cecil is the one that will attempt to kill you desperately" he answered as he sat down next to me.

"Can i ask you a question?" He asked softly.

"Yes" i answered.

"When you saw me, why did you embrace me?" He asked.

Should i tell him the truth? I asked myself silently.

"You kind of look alike with close friend Andy" i answered honestly.

"Really? I thought he was your lover" he said as i laughed lowly.

"No, but he did love me a lot to the point of sacrificing his life for me" i answered sadly.

"He really sounds like a gentleman, you are lucky to have him" he said.

"Yes i am" i answered as i got his hand and held it.

"I was worried when i saw you walking at night with your mother" he said.

"Well I'm safe don't worry" i answered simply.

"No i want to worry about you Karelia or should i say Bella, you are new here so you don't know, many people have been found dead, some of them are found sucked dry with two bite marks on their neck, some people say that its just an animal attack, some claim its dark magic that is practiced at night, i seriously don't know, all i know is that its not safe" he said seriously as i faced him.

"Are you not a vampire?" I asked as he laughed.

"What nonsense is this? Those are just myths i had heard when i was a child, those men like bats don't exist, same as dark magic and magic, they are just stories" he said while laughing.

I laughed softly too trying to understand everything, if this was the past and he was still human then he was soon to encounter his fate perhaps not.

"Aren't you tired?" He asked.

I leaned my head on his shoulder and closed my eyes.

"Yes, its my first day here but i went through a lot, its as if time here moves quickly or something" i whispered.

"Then you should rest properly tonight, how about you lay next to mother? I will take the chair " he said as i looked at him with a smile.

This was the side of Andy I wished i could have seen in the present time.
