(Author's Note)The lake appeared as if by magic as Drake and Layla crested the ridge. It was in teardrop-silver in color and it was shaped like a perfectly flat disc of metal. No sound rang out from the shimmering emptiness of space around it. Monastery quiet, it was lined with pine trees and the whiff of mint wafted up to us. They decided to make their way to its decanter clear shore. The idyllic scene took Layla's breath away.  Unruffled by wind or rain, it was vault still and restful. The only sounds were the bumbling of bees and the heavy echo of a raven crawking.Out on the lake, flopping trout were slapping the surface. They were hoping to catch one of the squadrons of flies that buzzed about. The heaven-leaking light added a golden tint to the face of the lake and it was paradise. (Layla POV)It began as a whispering in the air. The day had been beautiful and the sky was like a dome of plasma-blue. (Author's POV)Things around the pack were different since the night their alpha was brought home wounded. After that day pack memembers in the pack wasn't as lively as before. They were more depressed and worried as they could sense the discomfort their alpha was feeling. Training after that night was 10 times harder as the beta trained the wolves to become more stronger to protect the pack since their alpha wasn't there to do so. Since that night Drake haven't left his room, he was miserable without his wolf and all he wanted was to see his mate, his delta had stuck beside him making sure his alpha was safe.
