Chapter 6: Can we start over

(Author's POV)
“Hello, Layla, ” the deep voice greeted as Layla backed up against the door.
“Y-You!” she stuttered in fear.
“I'm not going to hurt, Layla, I-
“How do you know my name, who are you?” she asked earning a heavy sigh that made her flinch.
“Look, I can't tell you who I am at the moment, but I can tell you my name, ” he said staring into her hazel brown eyes as his eyes ones glowed through the night.
“Why can't you tell me who you are?” she asked feeling less scared in his presence.
“Because now, is not the right time, ” he said taking her hands as they both stood up.
“I don't understand, ” she said staring back at his ruby-red eyes.
“Don't worry about it right now, Layla, that's not the reason why I'm here, ” he said as a low growl vibrant against his throat.
“ Then why are you here?” She asked feeling a tingling sensation in between her thighs.
“I'm here to help you forget all your worries and heartaches, ” he whispered sending chills down her spine as she shivered.“And how exactly are you going to do that?” Slowly the gap between them started to close in as their sexual aroma mixed throughout the room causing their body to heat up.“I'm going to do it just like I did before, " he said moving her hair to the side revealing her neck that begged to be marked which he eventually did earning sweet moans from Layla as she grew weak.“B-But I don't know y-you, at least let me see your face, ” she said in between her heavy breaths and soft moans.“My name is RJ, my luna, and don't focus on what I look like, focus on how I'm going to make you feel soon, ” he said going back up to stare into her eyes.“Did you just-“Shhh, just look into my eyes and trust that I will make you forget, ” he said as his eyes glowed red.“I trust you, ” she said completely in his control as he smirked.“Good, now let your Alpha take you to heaven, ” he growled before Layla to cloud 9☀ ☀ ☀ ☀

(Drake's POV)
I was snuggled up in bed as I dreamt of this wonderful dream last night.
Layla and I all tangled up her bed while she moaned Alpha, god how I wish it wasn't a dream.
I toss and turn as her familiar scent filled my nostril causing my eyes to shot open as I jolt forward searching for her beautiful figure.
“Layla! Layla!” He called but there was no sign of her.I scratched my head in confusion before my eyes turned fury red followed by a low growl.“RJ, what did you do?" He asked the silence was given into.“RJ!” He yelled.“Alright, alright, I went to see Layla last night she needed comfort, Drake, ” he argued earning another growl.“You didn't answer my question RJ, ” he said sternly as RJ sighed.“I mated her but I promise I was just trying to take her off the pain she was feeling,” he said as I growled aggressively at him.“ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND, RJ, ” He yelled earning a whimper.“Drake, I was just trying to-“What were you thinking RJ? Did you even think of how she would feel seeing us like that? What if she doesn't want to see us again, ” I sigh running my hand through my thick black hair.“But she doesn't know it was us, Drake, ” he said catching me attention.“What do you mean? Didn't she see how we looked?” I asked.“No, every time I go to see her it was when she's asleep but this time she was awake so I hypnotize her, ” he explained.“Every time? How long have you been doing this, RJ?” I asked a bit irritated.“Only twice I swear, ” he quickly said earning a sigh.“You can't keep doing this RJ, what if you had lost control and bite her or what if one of the pack members had suspected something with her scent lingering on my body, ” I said earning his silence before he mumbled.“I never thought about that, ”“Look, I know the connection between you and Layla is too strong for you to control, I get it, I feel it too, but we have to control ourselves for her own safety, ” I advised.“I'm sorry, Drake, I just couldn't bear to see her in pain, I needed to help her, protect her, ” he said followed by a heavy sigh.
What really happened last night, RJ?” I asked.“I went to check on her after she kicked us out, I thought she was asleep but when I snuck into her bedroom, I found her curled up in a ball near her door sobbing, it broke my heart, she kept repeating “it's all my fault” I didn't know what she meant but I still tried to comfort her and make her forget her pain, ” after RJ explained what truly happened he felt bad for yelling at him.“She needs us, Drake, ” RJ whispered.“I know, but we can't rush things, she still doesn't know what we are, ” I explained as RJ groaned in annoyance.“I love our mate and all, but I sometimes wish she wasn't a human, ” RJ complain as I chuckled.“Me too, buddy, how about we go for a run to clear our mind, ” I suggested.“Yea, sure, that would be great, ” he said as they got ready to go on their run._____________________________________________________

RJ and Drake run through the forest at discussing with their beta Mason.
Running through the forest was one of the best things they love doing as it brought them peace and it was a form of healing for them after Drake's parents passing.
As RJ pushed them further into the forest, they never felt more alive as the cool breeze ran through their thick black fur.
Moving swiftly through the forest as an incredible amount of speed, they suddenly picked up a familiar scent.“MATE!” They both yelled in excitement as their pace slowed a bit while sniffing the air harshly.“She's near, ” RJ said getting more excited.“Why is she so deep in the forest, it's dangerous, ” Drake said slowly shifting into human form.Drake slowly walked towards where his mate's intoxicating scent was coming from before he finally saw her.The sight before him was breathtaking, there she sat in a white, mid-thigh blouse with flower patterns, her black curly hair laid gracefully on her back while she admired the beautiful roses in front of her.
At this point, both Drake and RJ couldn't contain themselves.
“Layla!” He called out as his voice came out shaky.
Layla snapped her head towards the direction her name came from as a soft smile appeared on her cherry red lips.
“Drake, it's good to see you, ” she said standing up on her two feet dusting the dirt from her legs.
“What- What are you doing here, Layla, it's dangerous, " he said as he internally melted after hearing her sweet, soothing voice.
“I was looking for y-you, ” she replied shyly avoiding eye contact after seeing his reaction.
“M-Me?” He asked pointing to himself.
“Yeah, I wanted to apologize for yesterday, I-
“No need to apologize, Layla, I shouldn't have-
She quickly cut him off while stepping forward catching him off guard.
“Please, just let me apologize, ” she pleaded as Drake nods giving her a small smile.
“I'm sorry, Drake, can we start over?” she asked as Drake's smile widen.
“Of course, we can, ” he replied stretching out his hand.
“Hey, I'm Drake, it's to meet you, ” he greeted as his wolf purrs.
“I'm Layla, it's nice to meet you too, Drake, ”
