The moment Drake walked out that door, I immediately broke down as those horrid memories came flooding back.

(Author's POV) FLASHBACK...
Harsh words and loud voices echoed throughout the moving car as a little girl sat in the backseat playing with her dolls.
“You think I wouldn't find out, Tom, how could you, we have a daughter together, ” her mother gritted through her teeth trying not to break down in front of her husband.“For the last time, Lisa, I didn't cheat on you, ” he said back as his grip on the steering wheel tightened.The little girl innocently stared back at her parents not understanding what was going on until she shook her mother's shoulder trying to gain her attention.“Mama! Mama!" She called out.“Yes, baby, what is it?” Her mother asked slightly irritated.
“Sing Mama, sing, ” she beamed.
“Not right now, sweetheart, mama is talking, ” she said as the little girl's face fell.
“But mama-
“Enough, Layla, what did I say when adults are talking, ” her mother snapped causing Layla's eyes well up with tears.
“Don't talk to her like that Lisa, all she wants is for you to sing to her, ” her father argued earning a glare from his wife.
“Shut up, Tom and focus on the road, ” she said folding her arms across her chest.
Tom stares at his little girl through the review mirror as she cried silently.
“Are you alright, Princess?" He asked not focusing on the road.Layla nods while wiping her puffy eyes as her father sighs.“Don't worry, princess, when we get home daddy will sing to-"TOM! LOOK OUT!" Lisa screamed before everything went dark.A few minutes later, the family was being rushed to the emergency room as panicked doctors and nurses tried to save their lives.Layla was in and out of consciousness as the doctors rushed her to the emergency room, but her parents, on the other hand, looked as though they wouldn't make it.“Mama! Daddy!” Was the only thing she murmured before everything went dark again.A few hours later, an unfamiliar couple came rushing in, heading straight to the front desk.“Where are they?” The woman asked right away.“Ma'dam, you need to calm down in order for me to help you, " the nurse said as the woman took a deep breath.“My son and his family, they got into a car accident, please I need to see them, ” the woman begged.“Ma'dam, what's your son's name?” she asked.“ Tom, Tom O'Brien, " the woman replied as the nurse's face fell.“I'm so sorry to have to tell you this, but Mr. O'Brien and his wife passed away a few hours, ” she said as the woman fell back in her husband's arms sobbing.“What about our granddaughter, Layla, where is she?” The husband asked as his voice shook trying to be strong for his wife.
“She's in room 467, I'm so sorry for your loss, ” the nurse said before the couple left to the find the room.
Finally, they found the room and without hesitation, they went in to find their granddaughter.
Tears immediately came to their eyes as they witness the state their granddaughter was in.
The woman slowly went to her side, as she caresses her hair.
“Oh, my little Layla, I'm so sorry, my love, ” she whispered as her tears tumbled down her wrinkled cheeks.
Minutes later, the doctor came to check up on Layla.
“Hello, I'm doctor Taylor and I'm in charge of monitoring Layla, ” she greeted while shaking the couple's hands.
"It's nice to meet you, Doctor, I'm Harry and this is my wife Elizabeth, we are Layla's grandparents, ” the husband greeted back as the doctor gave him a weak smile.
“It's nice to meet you too, Mr. And Mrs. O'Brien and I'm sorry for your loss.
9 years later...
Layla and her grandparents were both sleeping peacefully on a Friday night until there was a weird noise coming from downstairs wakening Layla from her slumber.
Slowly removing the covers from her body, Layla left her room trying her very best to not make a sound.
As she made her through the dark hallway, she immediately sensed a presence behind her, which made her quickly turn around to only see her grandfather.
A sigh of relief escaped her mouth as her grandfather came closer to her.
“Go stay with your grandmama, ” he whispered.
“But papa-
“No buts, Layla, it's not safe now go, ” he said earning a nod from Layla before she left.
Layla entered her grandparent's room immediately running into her grandmother's arms.
“Grandmama, Papa is out there by himself, ” she whispered into her grandmother's chest.
“Papa is going to be fine Layla, everything is going to be-
BANG! BANG!
The room echoed with Layla's screams as her grandmama panicked.
“Layla, I need to go in that closet and don't come out, do you understand, ” she said taking Layla's face in her hands.
“No, I'm not leaving you, what if something happens, ” Layla's grandmother couldn't stop her tears as she hugged her granddaughter.
“Go in the closet and don't come out, promise me, Layla, ” she said in a firm tone as Layla nods.
“I promise, ” she said as her grandmother rushes her to the closet before the door opens.
“WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY HUSBAND, YOU BASTARD, ” she yelled before...
BANG! BANG!

Layla sat in her room with her thighs pressed against her chest while she sobbed in her knees.
“It's all my fault, ” she mumbled over and over.
“It's not your fault, Layla, ” a deep heavy voice echoed in her room.
“It is my fault, ” she spoke back still not realizing a presence in her room.
“It's not, ” the person said as they crunch down in front of her caressing her knee as she flinched.
Layla's head quickly shot up as she gasped from seeing the person in front of her.
“Y-You!”
“Hello, Layla, ”
