(Jason POV)Here I was still at the alpha's mate's house investiating since something seems very wrong. I was debating with my wolf whether or not we should sneak in, but my wolf highly disagreed because he was stubborn but if something happens to the pack's luna and the alpha finds out then I will be responsible and I wouldn't live to see my pups being born.After arguing with my wolf and finally getting him under control, I swiftly got up from my sitting position before searching the house for open access. I growled as I began to get frustrated until I found an opening at the back of the house.As I entered the house, the scent got much stronger to the point where my wolf started whimpering. (Mason POV) The sun was slowly setting as Jason and I still remained at the luna's home, we had no idea what to do and was scared to death if the alpha would find out. As far as now, we finally figured out what had happened that night and now we have to figure out how to save both the luna and the alpha. Jason continued pacing up and down as I sat on the edge of the luna's bed studying her condition.Her heartbeat was slow and steady just enough to keep her alive for a while, her skin color continued to get lighter and lighter making her look like a corpse. (Jason POV)I stared at her in confusion before it completely changed into horror. "Y-You want the luna's heart, b-but-I was cut off by the sound of her laughter that sent chills down my spine. "What's wrong, delta, it's a simply task, I heal your alpha and I get his mate's heart, see very simple," she said in a mocking tone earning a growl. "Are you out of your mind, I can't let you kill the luna, it will be as if you killed the alpha as well," I said getting ready to leave. The hut fell silent, a very terrifed and creepy silent, my back was turned to the witch until I turned to met his hard, dark eyes. I frozed, her face was dead serious and her eyes held nothing but darkness.I immediately start regretting my decision on coming here. I couldn't seem to move as she slowly started walking towards me. My body shook in terror and before everything went dark I quickly mind link my brother."Mason! H-Help me!"

The pack gathered around for the funeral of Mason’s mate. Her close family and friends were a mess as they said goodbye. As for Mason, he felt absolutely nothing, all his emotions disappeared the moment his love took her last breath. His wolf was no longer responsive and neither was Mason.
