Chapter 23

Haggai's p.o.v

I angrily drove to my company then parked outside and hit my staling wheel. 

"Fuck!!" I yelled then stepped out of my car. 

I could feel Stan on the edge of coming out, i closed the door and decided to take a walk. 

I walked for some minutes when i picked up her scent again, there she was at the other side of the road walking, she looked so much sexy in her casual clothes, i happily followed her matching her pace as she walked, she couldn't sense me at all, that meant she wasn't vampire nor werewolf. 

She stood looking at each side of the road, she was about to cross when she looked at were i stood, she hesitated then quickly crossed and stood in front of me. 

"Good day Mr... 

"Hemsworth" i answered calmly. 

She looked at my clothes carefully as i smirked proudly, i had great faith in my looks, i knew many women fell for my body before knowing the monster i was, it was normal for her to check me out, i cleared my throat getting her attention. 

"I'm glad i met you here, i really wanted to apologize on behalf of my friend, he was rude towards you, i think he was just having a bad day, his usually playful not that grumpy" she said with the best smile i had ever seen. 

"His your friend?" I asked with a raised eyebrow trying to make sure i heard right. 

"Good, i was almost in shock finding out my mate was a slut who would stoop so low as to fuck a dead guy" i said seriously opening up my heart to her, instantly her smile faded. 

She looked at me angrily, what? She did act like a slut after all with him. 

"Excuse me?" She asked loudly. 

"Calm her down, we need to win her heart first then later you can do as you want" Stan said to me. 

I lifted my hand and gently caressed her cheek as she leaned into my touch. 

Woman were so damn easy to impress. 

"You know what mates are don't you? You are mine and mine alone, i hate sharing" i whispered lowly while i leaned in closer closing the space between us. 

"You know I'm right" i said as i brushed my lips lightly on hers. 

She gasped when i pulled back and smirked, this was it, it wouldn't take long

For her to fall for me. 

She took a step backward and murmured something. 

I couldn't help but laugh softly while observing her. 

"You sure are cute" i said honestly as she smiled back. 

I was beginning to hate this, in my life i had never praised or kissed any woman, here i was doing the exact thing i hated doing. 

"Thank you..i mean I'm sorry i can't stick around Any longer, I'm going to the cafe to work" she said nervously. 

Was she lying to me? I looked her in the eyes, she was trying so hard to keep up her gaze, she really was lying. 

"Then you wouldn't mind if i tag along" i said. 

"Not at all, although will you be okay with sharing the same roof with Andy my work partner? Don't mind me, i was just worrying for you on your behalf" she answered softly. 

"Let her go for today, don't forget we are attending an underground auction" Stan reminded me. 

I looked at my watch then at her, i really was suppose to go back. 

"Okay, I will let your lie slip, next time i won't tolerate such lies coming out of your mouth" i answered simply as she swallowed hard then faked a smile. 

I turned and began to walk away when i sensed her uneasiness. 

"Don't worry, i know too well where to find you" i said as i walked back to my car.

After work i took a bath, dressed up and went to our underground auction which was set by a close friend of mine tori, i stepped out of the car with Ryan looking at some of my warriors who were instructed to go ahead of time, they were already here and waiting both outside and inside, i knew very well how easily a fight broke off here, carrying guns and attending to this place with my warriors was a valid option, immediately i stepped in the building i picked up my mates scent, i quickly followed the sweet scent in the room, i couldn't believe my eyes when i saw her. 

She was laying down unconscious next to the vampire, i was about to go there when i was held back by Ryan. 

"Don't act rush, whats up?" He asked. 

"My mate is laying down there, i won't let them sell her off" i growled lowly. 

"Think, if you take her like that it will bring fights between our partners, how about you suppress your anger and buy her, that way no one will know about you being her mate, remember she's going to be by your side so you can gain more power not because of love, so put your shit together" Ryan whispered. 

I took a deep breath then released it, Thank god Ryan was here, i could have messed it all up for nothing, one of the guards approached us noticing how uneasy i was. 

"Sir is there a problem?" He asked lowly. 

I tried to keep calm but failed, Stan was angry too. 

"Yes there is, my fucking mate is laying down on the fucking ground, did you hurt her!?" I yelled getting everyone's attention. 

"Sir we didn't, we just put her to sleep with a spell" he answered. 

Was this fucker lying to me? Did he know who i was? 

Stan took over as i faced Ryan then the man. 

"Why would you do that!!!!" I yelled out as i heard a low moan that came from my mate, i quickly looked at her as i calmed down and got back full control. 

She slowly opened her eyes and bite her lower lip trying to get used to the pain she was feeling i think. 

She sat upright and looked at the ground then at the body which was next to her, she shook the vampire guy with forming tears. 

"I'm not dead yet love" he whispered in a painful grant angering me, why was she with him in the first place, was she in love with trash like him. 

"You don't look good, you are badly injured, i need to get you out of here quickly, can you stand?" She asked as he coughed lowly. 

"Bella, we can't leave, look around you" he said as he lifted his hands showing her his chains. 

So her name was Bella, it suited her very much, since she was quiet a beauty and belle did really mean beauty. 

When she looked around and saw everyone she gasped in shock then smiled happily. 

"Andy, they can help us" she said as the vampire faced her. 

"You don't get it do you? The stories i told you are real Bella, everyone in here is not a friend, they wont help us, actually they are here to buy us, these people you are seeing in here are not only criminal vampires, there are werewolves, witches, Lycans and hybrids involved" he whispered as she shook her head. 

Who the hell was this Andy guy? as it was he knew too much, i wanted him dead. 

"Can we start the binding?" An old friend of my family yelled out while looking at Bella. 

The guard that was talking to me stepped closer to her and held her jaw tightly as a scream escaped her. 

"I told you already didn't i? Handle her with care, she's mine, i will be the one taking her home" i said angrily in the crowd, the guard let go of her jaw and walked away, i angrily stepped in front of the crowd and looked at her, she seemed a bit confused. 

Tori stepped in front of me with a smile. 

"what's with this bitch?" Stan asked as i ignored him. 

"You must be mistaken Mr Hemsworth, i recall very well you were looking for a female alpha to take as a mate in order to improve your pack and became the strongest alpha and pack there is" she said. 

Was she testing my Patience? 

"Well yes, not only a female alpha would do, i wouldn't mind taking any strong supernatural for a mate you know, and right now you are really upsetting me, how can you be mistreating my mate in front of my pack and friends? Quickly let her go!!" I yelled out not caring about what everyone thought. 

Tori laughed softly, as i folded my hands in a fist. 

"Kill the bitch" Stan growled angrily. 

"Mr Hemsworth are you sure? Do you really want us to hand over to you just a mere human?" She asked as i looked at Bella blankly.
