I walked up the stairs that leads to the high school entrance and looked around, it has been a century since I last pretended to be a teen in High school and even though a lot of things seem to have changed the dynamic looks the same.  I been told to look after Cassie, so it makes most sense to try and get into the same classes as her, I just hope that she at least picked some interesting classes as there is nothing worse than being stuck in a class wher

The next day things gets a bit more interesting. I see Cassie in all my classes but minus the smiles that she gives me as an acknowledgement, she does not talk to me. The way to Freya’s house is quite long and takes me several hours to make.  The area where she lives is shielded, I am not sure whether it is part of the human world and enchanted, or if the shield that surrounds her home takes you to another dimension. I never asked her, but knowing Freya, she may not even have answered, had I asked. Because of the shield, it is impossible to teleport to her, so every time I go to see her, I must make the journey the old fashion way. I do not really mind, as I quite like flying, besides there are a lot of forests to fly over. Depending on my mood, I sometimes decide to fly in between the

The days goes on and I try my best to give Cassie space. I watch her from a distance, ready to step in if anything is to happen. She has still not texted me, and when I see her in school, she is not making any attempt to talk to me. Most of the time she is on the other side of the classroom, as far away as possible. Did I really scare her to the point that she wants nothing to do with me?  

The car ride back to Cassie's house was quiet. It was an uncomfortable silence and I wanted to say something just to break it, but I decided that it was better to let Cassie digest everything that I had told her earlier. I thought she would have freaked out or at least not believed me, but she was handled everything in a surprisingly calm manor.After we had been driving for a while, I turn into Cassie's driveway. I got out of the car and walked around to open the door for Cassie. She looked a bit indecisive when she gets out of the car, so I decide just to give her a node and wish her a happy birthday. I tell her not to be a stranger.

When I got back from seeing Cassie, I did not know what to do. I was happy that she seemed to be more comfortable around me, as that would make it easier when it comes to keeping her safe. However, I know I was lying to myself, as that was not the only reason why I was happy. Thinking about Cassie gave me a strange feeling. Nothing bad, just a feeling that I used to know her, but I could not figure out why I had this feeling. Cas

When Leah's car disappeared in the distance, I transformed myself into a bird and started after them. I needed to investigate why I was able to sense Leah's magic this time but why I had not been able to sense it any of the other times that I had seen her. I follow Leah's car in the air to their house, even though I knew that they would not be able to recognise me, I made sure to keep my distance. 

When I got back to school, I realised that I had been gone almost all day. It did not really come as a surprise, considering that the trip to Freya and back had taken me most of the night. Even though I had got to Nick's house in the morning, the demon realm was a bit tricky. Time worked differently there and it did not always follow the same laws of physic as the human world, but keeping in mind that all its habitants are immortal, it should not really be a chock that things worked differently there.

I spent all evening and most of the night sitting in the tree by Cassie's house. I was not going to let anything happen to her, and not just because Nick told me to watch her but because I had started to fall for her. When Cassie and Leah left for school, I decided that I better do the same, so I followed the car from the distance of the sky. After everything that I had learnt, I was very reluctant to let Cassie out of my sight.
