KIISHA   "Which year did Kolbe prepare organic compounds from its constituent elements?" the MC asked. Gosh! What type of stupid question is that? I looked around frantically and my eyes landed on my competitor, Jared. He smirked at me and I eyed him. We've been caught in a tie and they decided to ask one last question. Whoever says the correct answer first would be crowned the winner. Jared and I were always competitors since SS1 and I'd only won twice out of four rounds. This current one is our fifth competition. He was representing ROL Academy while I represented RGC.

 "There's a new guy in school," Aminat announced as she rushed into the class with a bright smile. She was the class gossip. Our class consisted of four rows with single chairs, with four seats in each row. Aminat took her seat which was in front of mine. Fortunately, Kiiti was in my class now, and as such had found a seat in the second row beside me. "A new guy?" I questioned while looking intently at her. We were somewhat friends so far since, we were the only two girls in my class. It’s ‘cause my class is the technical class known as SS2 PECULIAR. Dinner was terrible. Can you believe Jared had dinner at our table? With us? He'd gotten really close with Joshua, who introduced Quadri to him. They clicked quickly and hung out together. After collecting our dinner, my girlfriends and I went to our usual spot and Joshua spotted us. After saying hello, he decided to come to our table with his goons and that was how it started. I glared at Jared the entire time, while he only smirked at me. News had got around that Jared was my competitor and that I now had my 'oga'. Can you imagine? All those idiots started sputtering rubbish, saying I was arrogant and that I’ve met my match. They went on with their balderdash till I couldn't take it anymore and flared up.

JARED It was a bright Wednesday. After the morning devotion, we bathed and went to the dining room for our breakfast of bread, peanut butter, scrambled eggs, sardines, and tea.One thing great about this school is its food, it's rich and delicious. The people here are also nice and their girls are prettier than those in ROL Academy.Ever since I got here, that Kiisha girl has always greeted me with a scowl. It was crystal clear she didn't like me and I don't really understand why, maybe because I'd won against her thrice in the five competitions we'd met in.I can remember the first day we met at a science competition. SS1 first term. She had given me this weird look then and after, I greeted her, she had given me a smile so warm and fake that it was offending. JAREDAfter it had been announced that the Economics teacher had just put to bed, and the other Economics teachers were in other classes, I decided to go to the swimming pool so far it was a free period.

KIISHA Fridays are always the most interesting in RGC. It's a day meant for fun. We only engaged in extra curricular activities like sports, clubs and societies, socials and so on.

JARED "We don't really have to make others know, I just want to date you quietly," she said with a wide smile.

KIISHA"I think I saw Jared earlier," Kiishi said as she sat on the white curvy double settee in my room.

KIISHAGrudgingly, I followed mummy to our new neighbor's place, it was the house Kiiti and Kiishi had claimed Jared moved into and I didn't want to see him but my mummy wouldn't listen to me.
