Chapter seven
Auteur: Macedonia2901KIISHA
Fridays are always the most interesting in RGC. It's a day meant for fun. We only engaged in extra curricular activities like sports, clubs and societies, socials and so on.
We were at the basketball court waiting for the coach, Kiiti and I were conversing while Kiishi was reading a novel as always, they could use that thing to kidnap her, she was obsessed with books, when Kiishi isn't reading then she'd surely be writing.
Rihanna and her female gangs approached us. Why did they have to approach us gan nii? I don't like being associated with ugly people.
To me, it was only Dumininu that was pretty amongst them, others were ugly most especially that Kemisola with her big lips that could contain a school bag and that Rihanna sef no fine at all. On top that she wasn't pretty, she was also shapeless but was better than that her handbag.
"Hi," Rihanna greeted smiling at Kiiti, seems she finally found out Kiiti was the Governor's daughter.
"Hi," Kiiti responded before sharing a look with Kiishi and I.
"How have you been doing?" she pressed on. Her eyes met with mine and I eyed her, ever since she'd tried bullying me in JS1 at which I'd given her her size, I'd hated her. It was evident she didn't like me too but who cares?
"Fine."
She smiled again as Kiishi and I exchanged looks.
"I'm Rihanna Olaoye, judging from my surname, you should know I'm the daughter of the state Deputy Governor and my mum owns a fashion line, it's called NARA. I'm in commercial, SS2 SPECIAL," she introduced and Kiiti nodded.
Rihanna turned to her handbag who also smiled.
"Umm I'm Kemisola Badmus, my dad is a Senator and my mum is a make-up artist, sorry for being rude to you the other day, I'm also in SS2 SPECIAL," she ended it with a smile which Kiiti returned.
So, this one can apologize for being rude just because she wanted to be friends with Kiiti. Wonders shall never end ooo, someone who had always been rude to me but trust me, I always gave her her piece, no one tries nonsense with me and gets away with it.
Rihanna and Kemisola both turned to Dumininu who was so engrossed with her phone that she didn't notice it was her turn until Kemisola tapped her.
"I'm Dumininu Coker, my dad is a commissioner and my mum is an artist, I'm in the same class as Kiishi," she explained before smiling faintly at Kiishi who returned the smile. That's the only good girl amongst them, she always knew her place and was also friends with Kiishi.
"So as you can see, we are all from the political clique and seeing you're the governor's daughter, we want you to join our gang, there are four other boys too including Uche whom Kiisha embarrassed the last time," She looked at me and I glared at her before hissing.
She kept on ranting while Kiiti only nodded.
"So?" Kemisola inquired.
Kiiti glanced at Kiishi and I, and we gave her the look of 'don't you dare'. I just can't imagine Kiiti being friends with those idiots, everyone of them were stupid and ugly except Dumininu.
"Can I think about it?" Kiiti asked and I pinched her, she turned to me and Kiishi and gave us an assuring look.
What's she thinking about? She should just tell her straight that she doesn't befriend ugly mushs and attachés.
"Sure," Rihanna responded somehow disappointed as she looked away until she fixed her gaze somewhere or rather on someone.
I traced her gaze and realised it was on Jared who was laughing with Joshua and Quadri.
"Who is he?" Rihanna asked. Why is this girl asking?
"He's Jared, the new guy in SS2 PECULIAR, heard he resumed with Kiiti and also transferred from her school," Kemisola rambled and I shook my head. Some people are just so jobless.
"Wow," she muttered as she returned her gaze unto him, she scanned his whole body for some minutes before turning to Kiiti.
"Does he have a girlfriend?"
I clapped my hands sarcastically and she threw me a scowl. Eh, eh oo, some girls are just too shameless. I just don't understand why girls are always flocking that useless Jared gan.
"Not that I know," Kiiti responded.
Rihanna's face sparkled with excitement as a huge grin appeared. Stupid girl. Some people are just so senseless.
"Good, he's my type," she muttered but I could hear her. This one has no shame oo.
"Some girls are just too cheap and this one has two boyfriends oo," I mocked and Rihanna turned to me with her face shooting sparks of temper.
"I hope you are not talking to me?" she glared at me and I scoffed.
I looked around mockingly before looking at her, "Who else would it be or do you have a twin sister?"
Kiishi pinched my laps in warning but I didn't mind.
"You must be insane."
I scoffed before talking, "See the person displaying madness saying someone is insane." She'd better keep her mouth shut after this or she'll get it from me.
She opened her mouth to retort but Jared's appearance stopped her. Her angry look instantly turned joyous.
"Kiisha, can you spare me a minute?" I smiled internally and nodded.
"Hi Jared," Rihanna greeted and I threw her a glare.
Jared looked at me before replying her, "Hi."
"I'm...," I cut her short, "Let's go," I took his hand in mine and walked out before she could even think of saying anything again.
We walked out of the basketball court and headed to nowhere.
I heard Jared muffle a laughter and I turned to him before realizing I still held his hand, instantly I let go of his hand.
"Why did you let go?" Jared asked with a smirk, I think he's now back to smirking.
"Nothing, what did you want to talk about?" I questioned in an attempt to change the topic.
"Em, you haven't talked about our study."
I hissed at this.
"Is that why you called me out?"
He smiled this time and I loved it, most especially the appearance of his killing dimples.
"Lie that you weren't happy?"
I raised an eyebrow. What's wrong with this one? Do I look like all those useless girls falling for him.
"Why would I be happy? It's not as if your hand is made of gold or do you think so high of yourself? Lest you've forgotten we're competitors."
Jared chuckled at this and I eyed him.
"What are we competing for? I see no reason why we have to be like this, it's not as if it's going to kill you if you lose."
I rolled my eyes and pouted.
"I can't allow you to defeat me and you can't taint my image, so let's start studying today."
His eyes widened and he smiled. Back to the smile, don't smile again joor.
"So what time today?"
"During socials."
"What?" he half-shouted.
"Were you beaten by a snake nii?"
He shook his head in response.
"Won't you go for socials?"
"I don't attend meaningless stuffs like that," I pointed out. I'd never loved stuffs like that and at such always stayed in my room to study or play games on my phone during that period.
Well, we were allowed to bring our phone in RGC but had stipulated time to touch it, we weren't allowed to touch it during the weekdays except weekends.
Being privileged to so many things during the weekends like watching movies is one of the reasons I like RGC apart from it being the best in academics and also in all-round sports. We engaged in several sports, I loved ballet and basketball, Kiishi is popularly known as the volleyball queen, she was their captain and had worn numerous medals though she was also the school's best essayist and even the best in Oyo State, she'd won the title last term after she came out first overall in the essay competition.
I look forward to our inter-house sports, it's always beautiful and do take place for days. This next one, I must be the queen for my house, I smiled at this thought until Jared's voice brought me out of my trance.
"You're a party pooper," I rolled my eyes and tried not to glare at him.
"Whatever." I gave a dismissive wave of my right hand.
"But I attend socials maybe we should fix another time with prep too," he suggested and I nodded.
Wanting to reply, Kenneth's voice stopped me,
"Kiisha," he called and approached us with James, his closest friend. Why is this one coming now? He has no other thing to say except to keep on saying his mantra of professing his yeye, 'I love you.'
"Hi," Jared greeted.
"Hey," he responded before turning to me, "Can I talk to you?"
I rolled my eyes at this. He never said anything meaningful. What else will he say? Except to rant about his useless love.
"As you can see I'm talking to someone, maybe later," I said as calmly as I could 'cause his sight was getting me under the collar.
Kenneth is really stubborn, after turning him down and disgracing him numerous times, he's still pestering me. As in, I'd always embarrassed him publicly, yet he wasn't mortified. He's headstrong.
"Okay then," he glanced at Jared before leaving with James and I hissed scathingly.
"Why don't you like that guy nau, he's cute though?" Jared teased and I eyed him.
"Who is cute? It seems you need eye-glasses," I threw him a scorn before continuing, "Please don't talk about that, back to our study plan, how are we going to do it?"
I still despised the thought of studying together with this boy but I had no other choice, I just can't allow this guy to ruin my reputation and if that should happen, I'll be more than embarrassed. I just can't risk it, can't allow all those useless elements praying for my downfall rejoice over me. I was aware of being the most hated person in our school but I don't give a damn, I have to prove my worth to them, they must know we aren't in the same category.
"I think we should find somewhere quiet and discuss about it considering the fact that I might not be ready when you are, so it's imperative we check our schedule and fix it well."
"Okay, then, so where do you think we can go?"
"Umm," he placed his index finger on his mouth and looked up like someone thinking before talking, "Music room?"
I nodded in agreement and we headed towards the music room, we stayed quiet till we got there. No one was there as they'd all dispersed to different places to catch fun.
We sat by the pianoforte and talked for a couple of minutes before coming to an agreement on our studying schedule.
I stood up to leave but the sound from the piano stopped me. I was obsessed with the piano.
"Wait, can you really play the piano?" I asked in bewilderment as I walked back to the pianoforte.
"Did you think I was joking?" he asked. It seems this one is already feeling himself.
I nodded and he laughed before proceeding to play 'Like I Do' by 'Fireboy DML' . He sang as he played and I couldn't help but get caught in the moment.
He had a nice voice and played skillfully. I watched with amusement, he was really attractive, I didn't know the time I joined him.
He smiled as I joined him and I returned the smile as our voice rented the air. It was perfect.
"You have a beautiful voice, you were pretty good," Jared commented as soon as we ended the song.
"You weren't bad too."
Wait, did I just say that?
A resounding clap rented the air as we both turned to where the clap was coming from and I realized it was our music teacher. Wait, when did she come in?
"You guys were so good, I love your duet," our teacher complimented and we smiled reverently before turning to look at each other.

KIISHA Our house had been bubbly since we woke up this morning because it was our D-Day, our birthday. Our aunt, Suzanne and one of her apprentice were the one doing our make-up, she'd just gotten through with Kiiti and Kiishi's own while she was almost done with mine and those ones decided to go downstairs at least to feed their eyes though the party would be starting soon. While I kept on thinking on why Jared would miss such a gracious day, though I'd tried to push the thought to the back of my mind but it still kept coming back which in turn made me think about it throughout the make-up. "Now, you look beautiful," Aunt Suzanne complimented and that snapped me out my thoughts, as she finished the make-up and told me to take a look at myself in the mirror.
TEENS ON POINT Chapter fifty eight
KIISHA The opening of the door revealed the entrance of Aunt Suzanne and her apprentice, apparently she'd finished Kiishi and Kiiti's make up meaning it was my turn. "Are you ready?" she questioned with a smile. "Yeah," I replied and got up from my bed, straightened my red sweetheart off shoulder gown, the one Mom's fashion designer had brought the day before. Red was the colour we'd all chosen for our Valedictory service. I sat on my dressing stool and turned to the mirror before Aunt Suzanne started the make up. Minutes later, Kiiti and Kiishi barged into the room, they were looking stunning in their gown and the make up was so perfect.

KIISHA "The driver is here," Kiiti announced as she got out of the bathroom. "Okay then," Kiishi stood up as she placed the novel she'd been reading in her bag. "Hey, don't tell me you want to go and read over there," I shouted as I stood up from my chair. "That's even true," Kiiti added.
