Chapter four

JARED

It was a bright Wednesday. After the morning devotion, we bathed and went to the dining room for our breakfast of bread, peanut butter, scrambled eggs, sardines, and tea.

One thing great about this school is its food, it's rich and delicious. The people here are also nice and their girls are prettier than those in ROL Academy.

Ever since I got here, that Kiisha girl has always greeted me with a scowl. It was crystal clear she didn't like me and I don't really understand why, maybe because I'd won against her thrice in the five competitions we'd met in.

I can remember the first day we met at a science competition. SS1 first term. She had given me this weird look then and after, I greeted her, she had given me a smile so warm and fake that it was offending. I mean I don't understand why she doesn't like me, ‘cause from my sixteen years on Earth, girls have always fallen for me at a glance. They never hid it. But this Kiisha girl made her disdain evident.

While having breakfast together this morning, I'd tried talking to her, but she either ignored me or glared at me. But now that we had to study together--which I can't fathom how we would--I just hope she'll come to like me.

A very beautiful and curvaceous girl sauntered into our class and walked up to me.

"Hi," she greeted with a seductive smile as she sat on my table. I glanced at Joshua and Quadri who were my new friends, but they shrugged.

As she sat, her school top which was really fitted pushed out her full breasts and revealed her cleavage; and her short, high-waisted skirt which exposed her hot thighs. She was a wild girl.

"Hi," I replied looking at her in awe.

I hope she won't try hitting on me 'cause I don't do wild girls or whores.

"I'm Boluwatife," she introduced with a charming smile and threw me a weird wink which I ignored as I looked around.

The class that was noisy earlier was now suddenly giving off a deafening silence as all eyes were plugged on me and the girl.

"I'm--" I tried saying, but she cut me off.

"Jared, I know, the hottest and most handsome guy in RGC," she ended with a beatific smile.

I nodded and looked away, she'd wanted to say something but the appearance of our Mathematics teacher stopped her. Upon seeing him, she stood up, threw me a cool smile and sashayed out.

"I think you all know that the midterm is around the corner. Your test is in two weeks’ time so you better use your brain well," he said almost in a shout, looking mainly at me after the greetings.

No one said anything, but only looked at him. I guess we weren't shaken by his words.

"Can I sit here?" Boluwatife asked with a quick, flashy smile as she looked longingly at me. I shared a look with my friends and the girls before nodding.

"Thanks," she said as she sat right beside me.

The girls were sitting opposite me while the guys sat at my other side.

 "What's this girl trying to do?" Kiiti asked her friends.

She had been my classmate at ROL. We weren't really close but being a friend to Kiisha and Kiishi who were Joshua and Quadri's friends, we had to sit together and get along.

"What do you think?" Kiisha replied while glowering at Boluwatife, it seems this girl is always glaring at people.

"She's trying to seduce him," Kiishi answered and I didn't miss the glare Boluwatife dashed her.

We tried eating in silence but that Boluwatife kept disturbing me and asking me stupid questions.

"What's up with that girl?" I asked Joshua and Quadri immediately after the girls left.

 "She obviously likes you," Joshua teased.

 “That’s just how she is, ooo," Quadri added in a mocking tone.

 "What do you mean?"      

"See, she's our school's number one bitch. A very popular whore who's dated almost all the guys in our school and as well as slept with them," Joshua explained.

"She can't do without that thing between your legs, currently she's dating a guy in our set and three in SS3," Quadri added and my eyes widened.

How could someone be as promiscuous as that?

"So she's trying to hit on you. You could date her too and receive your own share," Joshua joked.

"God forbid. I don't do dogs."

Joshua and Quadri shared a look before humming simultaneously.

 "Tell me, what kind of girls do you do, ooo?" Joshua asked.

I smiled faintly before replying, "Well, I've never been in a serious relationship before so I just jump from one to another."

"So you're a player?" Quadri inquired.

 "If that's what you call it."

After hearing the warning bell, we stood up and headed to our class.

I spotted Kiisha and a guy called Kenneth in our class. He was talking to her, but she was ignoring him, wearing a bored expression.

Our eyes met, and she glowered at me as usual while I smirked at her. "Is that her boyfriend?" I asked my friends once we settled down. 

"Whose boyfriend?" they both asked in unison.

"Kiisha."

They erupted into laughter.

"That girl doesn't have time for a boyfriend, oo," Quadri explained.

"You mean she's never dated anyone before?" I questioned in astonishment.

"Yeah. And do you see Kenneth? He’s been crushing on her since JS3, but she turned him down, and he's still stupid," Joshua elaborated and I turned to look at her in surprise.

She was now fumbling through her bag and the guy was still talking.

"And for your information, she always turns guys down in the most embarrassing way so don't even think about it oo," Quadri warned and I smiled.

"I'm not thinking about it. But even if I were to try it, she wouldn’t turn me down," I bragged while glancing at her.

Quadri’s mouth was agape while Joshua laughed hysterically.

"In your dreams. Kiisha won’t be swayed by your sweet words. All the guys that tried ended up disgraced," Quadri said.

"Plus, she hates your guts," Joshua added.

"Just wait, I’ll make her mine." I boasted, and they smiled mockingly.

"It will never happen. That girl isn’t gonna crack," Joshua tried convincing me.

 "We’ll see."

" It’s a deal then," they affirmed in unison.

With that, I became determined. No girl has ever turned me down and Kiisha wouldn't be the first. She can't break my record, I'll make sure she's mine no matter how hard she plays.
