Chapter 14

Bella's p.o.v

Have you ever been in a situation were you are silently walking with the person you love and you feel so content as if you are actually in a conversation? One look from them its as if they are assuring you they would gladly lay down their life for yours.

Well that's what I was feeling as i was walked back home with Michael, my heart was content, it kind of reminded me of a song i loved a lot by Alison Claus, i couldn't help but sing the words out loud.

🎶 The smile on your face lets me know that you need me, there's the truth in your eyes saying you'll never leave me, the touch of your hands says you catch me if ever i fall, you say your best when you say nothing at all 🎶

Michael stood still listening to each and every word i sung happily, he turned and faced me, i slowly faced the ground as i sung.

These were the words i could relate to how I was feeling towards him.

I stopped singing and laughed nervously.

He gently touched my cheeks and made me look at him.

"Bella, i know you are from another time and i shouldn't say this but...I'm really falling in love with you" he said as i smiled.

"That makes us two fools from different time, now let's go" i said as i held his hand tightly.

We walked home happily while Michael hummed the song i was from singing, when we reached i found mother waiting for us outside, she quickly smiled when she saw us.

"I was so worried about the two of you, you took long to come back, soon it will be sunset, you didn't even eat lunch" she said in a scolding tone.

"I'm sorry aunty, it's all my fault, i convinced bell..Karelia to stay a little longer" he answered in a very respectful tone.

That was so sweet of him taking all the blame.

"Mother I'm sorry but it really was my fault this time, the stream was so beautiful, i convinced Michael to stay longer" i said as Michael squeezed my hand tighter.

Mother looked at our hands then laughed softly.

"I'm happy that you guys are standing up for each other, you are like a couple in courtship, that's so sweet" she said as i shyly looked at Michael, my cheeks were burning hot red, mother was so embarrassing.

"Aunty, i know this is wrong and not the right time but i really would love to court Karelia with your blessings" he said as i looked at him in shock.

"Michael!" I screamed.

"What? Wouldn't you like that?" He asked as i lowered my gaze.

"I would love to court you too" i whispered.

Mother laughed loudly.

"You are a good man Michael, i would actually be more at ease if you took care of Karelia" she said.

"Thank you" he answered.

"Now come in and eat something, I'm sure you are hungry" she said then walked in the house.

I faced Michael then laughed happily.

Bella's p.o.v.

The past months were so great, my magic was better and stronger, i was so happy being with Michael, I was beginning to wish i could stay in Karelia's body forever, yes i missed my real parents but i also loved Karelia's mother like my own.

"Lets stop here, you did great" Michaels voice pulled me out of my thoughts.

"I have been manipulating only water and air, when will i try out fire?" I asked with a deep sigh.

"Patience pay's my lady, you will soon" he said as he moved closer and touched my hair.

"Should we go back?" He asked.

"Are you hungry?" I asked too without paying attention to him.

"No" he answered.

I faced him angrily.

"You are lying" i said loudly

"Even if i am hungry i won't feed on you, the past weeks i have been feeding on you, i don't want to end up making your health suffer" he said in concern.

"I won't, i usually eat a lot of healthy food" i Answered quickly.

He got my hand and walked back with me, was he going to ignore me like this?

"Michael" i called.

"No i won't, if you think you are sturbon then you really don't know me well, I'm twice as sturbon as you" he answered.

Well i Guess he was really worried about my health.

"I just wanted to say thank you" i said.

He stopped moving and looked at mother who was moving back and fourth outside the house.

When we moved closer, she quickly ran to me, i pulled my hand from Michael and embraced her.

"Mother I'm okay, did i take long again?" I asked in worry then pulled back.

"I need to talk to you, both of you" she said.

I looked at her worriedly then nodded.

"Mother is there a problem?" I asked while we walked in the house.

"Michael have you heard the town news?" She asked immediately we walked in the living room.

"Yes aunty" he answered.

"How true is it?" She asked.

"Very true" he answered lowly avoiding my eyes.

I looked at them confused, what were they talking about?

"Karelia i think you should take a trip, i want you to go out of the country, i will give you the money i had been saving for years, its not safe here" she said seriously.

"No!, I'm not going anywhere mother, is there a problem, We are safe here mother, father wont find us" i answered.

"You are wrong, that day you hit lady cecil too hard, she ended up having a miscarriage, she was later admitted for some weeks because of the complication she had in her womb, the doctor told her she would never give birth or get pregnant because of her complications, she was discharged some weeks ago, she immediately packed her thing's and went back to her family house but not after exposing your father of everything, now people know he married a servant and some men are looking for us, if we are to be caught, we won't escape, we will be haunted down until we are judged of our crime by the townsmen" she said as i gasped in fear.
