Chapter 14

-Stella-

It is already morning now and I just woke up with many things to do today, at first I will have to go shopping, later visit my friend Terry so that I could get more information about him.

I can't believe that I even let him kiss me last time, I guess I wanted his touch.

Then I sat on my bed trying to reflect back into the problems of my past, just so I will know how I could fix them in today.

The only person I can think about is terry, I think my mind has clung to him now.

I picked up a paper and wrote on the piece of paper, Terry had used to write a letter yesterday.

At the free blank space, I wrote things I have to know about Terry and the first one started with.

One! Try to know how old he is? Because seriously... It would be wrong if I discover that he is about forty years old, or so.

Then I laughed.

The second thing I wrote was, try to know about his family... I think this is an important one because I would love to know if he has brothers, sisters, and an ex-girlfriend... Things like that.

Then I laughed again to myself.

"Shit... Woman... You are in love" I said to myself as I laid on my bed with the paper and pen on my chest.

My horribly sounding alarm sang again and I used my right leg to hit it down, but it continued to sing.

I was expecting it to not sing anymore, but It continued and that is the problem of buying very expensive alarm clocks.

They tend to never want to stop singing, almost, like those scary clocks in horror movies.

I stood up and I walked into my toilet, I took my bath and refreshed my self.

I felt cool as I walked downstairs straight to the kitchen, as usual.

I opened the fridge to eat my usual junk foods, but then my mum calls my name from behind me.

Making me pour the chips on my hand away.

"Mum, you startled me," I said to her as I turned and looked at her.

"Well, you should not be eating junk this early in the morning, it is not good for your health," my mum says as she directs her hands to the table.

I follow the direction of her finger to see that breakfast is already served and waiting for me to come and devourer it into myself.

"Mum, you made this?" I asked her with one eyebrow up.

"Yes, daughter, did your dad not tell you that I was a very good cook?" she says to me proudly.

"Mum, you made today Good morning," I said to her feeling happy and about to lavish my time to eat what perceived really nice to taste.

"Good morning Stella," she says to me and that is when I recalled that I had to have manners.

"Sorry mum, I forgot to greet you, good morning mum," I said to her with a genuine smile.

"Good thing my daughter knows what her mother thinks at times," she says and then leaves.

I am guessing she is either going to tell my dad how I and she are both getting along.

"Shit, I can't wait to have something to eat and then later call Terry," I said to myself as I sat down to eat.

My mum works back into the kitchen with my dad who was holding a newspaper on his hands.

"What have I done now?" I said to both of them with my mouth full of food.

"Well, we wanted to tell you that we have found a very big opportunity for you," my dad says to me, "and what is that dad?" i asked him... waiting to hear what he has to say.

"There's a very big company willing to give you a vice president position and they pay very well," my dad says to me smiling.

"If It Is about working In your medical company, then just know that I won't, because I don't want to," I said to him about to leave.

"No, I'm not talking about my company here in Paris," he says to me and I really Want to hear more.

"Dad, what are you talking about?"I asked him, sounding a bit too serious.

"I'm saying that you are going to take over what your daddy has built all his life, you are going to be the vice president of my medical company in New York City."

"Dad! you mean, you want to give such a very massive company to me, and not just that, one of the most popular companies in New York to me?"I said asking him.

"Yes Stella, I have spoken about it with your mother and she thinks that it is the best idea," he says looking into my eyes.

"But been a Vice President is a lot," I said to both of them, "But then, your work is special, you will get opportunities like been the president's medical manager, you would only work for people of your status," my dad says proudly to me.

"Wow! It seems perfect, but what about you, are you going to be there with me?"

"Unfortunately I can't be with you there because I have a business to do here in Paris, I will give you one month to think about it when you are ready... Your mother is ready to follow you to New York and stay with you for a while" he says to me looking elsewhere.

"Okay dad, I will think about it, thanks for giving me enough time to decide, "I said to him and then put my last fried chicken into my mouth.

I stood up as my mum sat down to eat with my dad, I quickly ran upstairs to get my phone, so that I could call Terry, but then I remembered that I did not even have his phone number.

How confused was I? to forget to ask him?

Then I remembered that I once gave him a ride to his house, "so my driver should know the way to his house" I said to myself as I put on my canvas with my phone and purse on my hands heading downstairs to meet up with my driver so that I could head to his house.

I went and I met with my driver and it happens to be that he still can remember the road.

We had now reached Terry's house, I knocked and waited but no one opened the door for me, then I knocked harder, "Guy! The door is open" a voice that sounded like Terrys was heard by me.

I opened the door and walked into the house, I walked into what seemed to be a parlor, with a flat TV.

It seemed like a movie was paused, I carried the remote and then sat on the chair, immediately I played it, I discovered that it was a pornography movie.

I threw the remote away and I screamed.

I heard footsteps approaching, I opened my already closed eyes to scan for a way to escape from the house.

I stood up and I collide with Terry, my phone and purse falls down and he helps me to pick it up, then he uses the remote to off the TV.

I collected my purse, with my phone already in my hands, "that movie isn't mine Stella" he says as he holds my hand.

"I swear it is not mine," he says as he holds me to himself... Not to go.

"Liar!" I said releasing myself slowly.
