Chapter 11

"Mum..." she looks at us with shock all over her, she did not expect to see me smooching with a guy.

I guess she thinks poor of me now, I release myself from Terrys hold.

"This is my boyfriend," I said.

"Oh well, I don't believe your dad would let you have a boyfriend immediately you turned eighteen years old," Lucy says to me.

"I think your dad needs to come upstairs, so I could set things straight," she says to me as she raised her phone up about to call my dad.

"Wait... Okay, I haven't told dad yet," I said to her. 

"What? you haven't told your dad, you now have a boyfriend?" she says in her hot motherly posture. 

"Yes, I haven't, could you just stop acting like you care about me... When we both know clearly that you don't."

"Okay... Ouch." Lucy says in between and then continues.

"Only a good mother feels the heat of her cooking pot" she says looking at me... straight into my eyes.

"Well, some mothers pretend that they feel the heat when truly... They don't want to be close to their pots," I said to her looking straight into her eyes knowing that I had just made a senseless speech.

"Ma'am, I am so sorry for been here, I and she are trying to understand ourselves more, and we love each other too," Terry says as he walks in front of me.

"Well who are you?" she questioned him and I turned to look away.

"I'm called Terry, and I live not so far from the house," he says to her and she looks at him like she is scanning him.

"Well... You have no respect and self moral, if you did, you would have respected her parents and not step into this house unless you were allowed to by her parents," she says to him looking into his eyes.

"Hey," I said from behind but gets interrupted by terry.

"I'm really sorry ma'am," he said to my mum and my mum's physical state seemed stabilized.

"Are you okay now?" I said to her and she spoke.

"Hmm, someone is not... and this means I will have to take this to the head of the house," she says as she turned to walk away.

"If I let her go, she will definitely tell my dad of which might destroy my chances of me being with Terry," I said in my thoughts.

I rushed to her and held her right hand, "mum please don't blow my cover off with dad, he'd be really upset with me and might end up sending me to some foreign country that I don't know" I said to her.

Lucy looks at me with her eyes watering.

"Mum, why are you been emotional?" I asked.

"I just really appreciated that you called me your mum, which I know I am, you know I miss you calling me that," she said as tears slide down from her eyes.

I started to feel emotional too as I see tears coming out from her eyes.

She must be regretting that she had left me when I was little.

"Okay, mum, let us make a deal," I said to Lucy smirking.

"Okay what's the deal?" she said to me, "well, I will call you mum as long as you like, and as far as you keep my little secret, " I said to her seriously.

"Okay, but then this secret will be kept silent, but you must one day responsibly bring him to the house to meet your dad, okay?"

"Okay mum, I will surely bring him to see dad."

"I need to know who that guy actually Is? Is he a lenient person? Is he done with school as well? What job does he do? who are his parents?" she said to me but gets interrupted by me.

"Mum, all you have mentioned are all useful questions, I should find out about, cause i need to know who i want to date before i actually date him, "I said to her, " good thing you have a smart brain in there" she says to me, as she uses her right-hand finger to dot on my forehead.

"Just be careful with the type of person you want to be personally close to you, i know that you are now eighteen years old now and is now legally a full-grown lady, but you should not forget the fact that a lady without a good future is a liability to her household and the economy as a whole" she said to me.

"Fine, i understand what you mean mum, "I said to her with a fake smile, "I will go and take your dad into the room now so that your so-called boyfriend could have his way to leave this house right now and avoid any invalid appearance in front of your dad.

"Thanks, mum, i won't forget what you have just done for me today," i said to her with a little smile on my face, "okay, see you later then," my mum said to me as she walked away.

She only accepted my deal because she saw that she could get close to me and have access to play a major role in my life.

Too bad I have already figured out her kind of person, a bloody politician" i said to myself, in my thoughts.

I walked back into my room just to see no one.

 "Terry" i called out but then i get no replies, i checked everywhere looking for where my so-called boyfriend had gone to, but i came to no avail, "did he leave without even saying goodbye"I said to myself, " but then, how come I did not see him leave, so weird" I said to myself.

I climbed up my bed and i threw my pillow away just to see a paper fly up in the air light like a feather and it fell on my forehead gently, i picked it up and looked at it, and it reads.

"If you are reading this letter then just know that I am already gone, and don't think how I left cause I have my own ways to leave.

I don't want you and your dad, plus your mum to have issues because of me, so I figured that it would have been better if I left.

I also left my car keys In the kitchen so do me a favor and bring It outside for me, don't keep me waiting, I love you, Stella, Your bf...Terry"

"What are these keys for?" a voice came from the kitchen.

"Oh, I hope it is not my dad that had found the keys.." I said to myself as I stood up from my bed and rushed downstairs for the kitchen.

Whoops! "Dad" I murmured.
