Chapter 13

"Elvis" I called out in shock.

He looks at me and stretched his hand to hold me, I lean backyards about to shut the door... But then he uses his hands to place in between the door.

"What do you want from me?" I ask him as I tried to force his hand out so that I could lock the door.

"We need to talk Stella, all is not as it seems to be," he says to me sounding emotional.

"I have had enough of today, I am so tired... For the past three days, I have been going through a lot," I said to him.

"I'm in trouble Stella, you have got to help me out" he says to me.

"Well you can keep that trouble to yourself alone because you are no longer my friend from today onwards," I said to him with tears already in my eyes.

"Your friend told me that she had evidence concerning my dad and that the evidence she has could send my dad to prison." He says.

"Are you been serious right now or you are just trying to say something so that you could get close to me again?" I said back to him.

"No, I swear that I am not saying this so that you could forgive me, and I did not mean what I said about me being in love with Stanley.

"I just said that to make her believe that I was on her side, I love only you Stella, and we have been friends since childhood." He replies speedily.

And he continues...

"Why will I want to destroy such friendship, please understand me, Stella," he says to me like he was already getting broken from the other side of the door.

I opened the door.

"Come in,"I said to him and when he did, I held his

left hand and we both went upstairs into my room.

"Tell me about it," I said to him after I had offered him a chilled glass of water to drink.

"Before I tell you anything you must promise me that you would not tell anyone anything," He says to me.

"Sure" I replied to him.

"But then I will say it out when I discover that it could take life's or has taken a life... Joking just tell me" I said to him with a calming smile on my face.

"Okay, stop been silent all of a sudden and just tell me already, I am losing my patience," I concluded with my talk.

He took another gulp of water and right now I am suspecting that what he wants to tell me might actually be very serious so I used my hands to tap him on his back.

"Just say it dear," I said to him trying to make his nerves feel free a bit.

"I learned that my dad was involved in the shipping of firearms and other nuclear bombs from Korea here for his next political campaign," he says to me simply sounding powerful.

"what!?... He wants to win the election by destroying his rivals?" I said to Elvis shocked.

"I think so, and Stanley seems to know this with concrete evidence against my dad," He said to me acting pained.

"I really don't know what to do now" he concludes his talk and keeps quiet.

"It is impossible for your dad to purchase such weapons and be able to bring them to Paris unless he had help, with someone that is very powerful... When it comes to importation and licensing," I said to him thinking.

"What are you saying... Stella?" He asked me.

"I'm saying that your dad is not the only person involved in the implicit act, but other top government officials too," I said to him and he nods in understanding.

"Stanley promised to destroy the evidence if I slept with her," He says to me and I froze.

"What?"Does she really want me that sad? all because she's jealous of me, she's so cheap" I said to him and he frowns.

"I too really don't know why anyone will hate your kind of person, I guess she is just a jealous evil... Bad person," he says to me taping his fingers.

"I think I can help you out, "

"Really, how can you help me out with a person that is already against even you?"

"Well, I think you will have to show her that you love her very much and then you can try to know more about what she knows."

"If it is not possible you will have to steal the evidence or do as she pleases to get the evidence from her properly without a single trace of trash that could dent your father's image" I said to him shaking in the inside of me.

"You are actually saying that I should have sex with her just to get a piece of evidence?" he said to me signing

"Y.es, let us not forget you are trying to protect your dad and your future here," I said to him being serious.

"How about the promise we made to each other when we were twelve years old? have you forgotten that I promised to be your first, and you promised me... The same too?" he says to me staring at me.

"But things are different now, you don't have to keep those promises again, you have to protect your future first.

My mum once told me that a woman that does not know how to stand for her loved ones and her family is a liability to not just her household but the economy as a whole" I said and continued.

"Do what you have to do, to protect your loved ones and your future" I concluded my talk and then used my hand to rub his back.

He gets a hold of my hands and turns me to himself.

"Don't leave me, Stella?" He says to me, with his eyes focused on my lips, he leans in more closely and his lips touch my lips, he starts to kiss me and I kissed him back.

The kiss I had given back was not because I loved him, but it was because I knew he was in love with me since we were twelve years old.

It is just saddening that I do not feel the same for him like he does for me, "I have to go now, Stanley just messaged me," he says to me and stands up from my bed.

I take a good look at him, seeing that he was too worried, and depressed by that annoying evil girl.

"Take good care of yourself, you would be fine, I will call you next tomorrow," I said to him as I escorted him downstairs and watch him leave and drive off in his car away.

I walked back upstairs into my room and I tried thinking of his dad's issue, I could see that he had some help from other government officials and it happens that my mum and dad happens to be a good friend of his dad.

My dad is not into politics but he has enough money to buy nuclear weapons, but it won't be him because he hates any personality destroying thing. 

Then my mum is into politics and she's also campaigning for a higher position, she happens to be the minister of imports and exports.

"My God, could it be that my mum was involved in Elvis daddy's case too? " I said to myself.

"Oh whatever, I have got to take my bath and go to bed now" I concluded in my thoughts.
