Chapter 3 See You at the Same Old Place

With a shrug, Ou Tingting said, "Mom, I'll be outside for a while. The air here is too stale, no thanks to somebody."

With that, she went outside.

Sighing, Madam Ou turned back to the girl. "Don't mind her, Yiyi. Tingting's like that because she's spoiled by us."

Yao Yiyi smiled and replied, "Tingting is in her early twenties. It's normal for her to be a bit rebellious at this age."

Giving her a light pat on her hand, Madam Ou spoke to her in an even more affectionate tone, "Yiyi, you're such a good child. Don't take her words to heart. As for Yang Kexin, just pretend that she doesn't even exist."

Yao Yiyi was not stupid enough to ask her who Yang Kexin was.

"Mom, we're family. I won't take her words to heart," Yao Yiyi said kindly, even though she knew that her so-called 'family' was coming to an end.

"I always knew you were a good kid." Madam Ou liked her even more after hearing her answer.

Yao Yiyi chatted with Madam Ou the whole morning and had her lunch there as well. Eventually, Madam Ou started feeling tired and went up for a nap, so Yao Yiyi decided to take a walk outside. At the same time, Ou Tingting decided to follow her.

"Yao Yiyi, don't assume that you'll be the Ou Family's daughter-in-law for the rest of your life just because my mom likes you so much. My brother still loves Kexin deeply, so it's best for you to give up now."

Ou Tingting said sarcastically.

Yao Yiyi shot her an elegant look and replied with a smile, "Tingting, I don't know who Kexin is, but just bear in mind that I'm still your brother's wife. If we're not divorced, I'm still your sister-in-law. Mind your manners."

Looking at her mockingly, Tingting sneered. "My sister-in-law? I don't think you'll hold that title for much longer. Only my mom is kind enough to treat a person like you as her daughter-in-law. You don't have anything else going for you."

After a slight pause, Ou Tingting continued, "A Cinderella like you should not dream of marrying into a rich family. You should divorce him right now as you might still get a considerable compensation, otherwise, you might not get anything at all."

Yao Yiyi began smiling even more sweetly after hearing this.

"Thanks for your advice. I did think of divorcing him at first, but now, I don't think I want to anymore." Yao Yiyi started to leave right after saying this.

"You...!" Ou Tingting was so mad that she blurted out, "You better not regret what you said today."

"Don't worry, I won't have any regrets." Without even bothering to turn around, Yao Yiyi walked back inside. As soon as she got back into the room which the Ou family had prepared for her, her expression darkened visibly. She felt a throbbing pain in her heart, as though it was being tightly gripped by someone or something.

She quickly took out her phone and dialed a number. When the line went through, she plastered a smile and said cutely, "Darling, I miss you."

After a brief pause on the other end of the line, Ou Qingheng replied, "Don't play games with me! I'm in a meeting. I'll see you at the old place at 9 pm tonight." He then hung up the phone.

Stunned, Yao Yiyi stared at the phone in a trance.

Although they had been married for four years, they rarely had any heart-to-heart talks with each other, perhaps not at all.

This was expected, as Ou Qingheng had treated her as a money-oriented woman all along.

Yao Yiyi spent the rest of her day at the villa. She only drove home after having dinner with Madam Ou later that night.

As soon she got home, she put down her bag and started choosing her date outfit for the night. The old place that Ou Qingheng mentioned on the phone was just a five-star hotel that they often went to.

Even though she knew that Ou Qingheng did not love her, she did not want him to see her in an awkward state.

Yao Yiyi arrived at the hotel right on time. However, as she pushed open the door to the presidential suite, she was pushed against the wall by a strong force. The next moment, she was caught between the wall and a broad chest. Smelling a familiar scent, she could not help but laugh. "President Ou, aren't you going to ask me if I accidentally made Mom unhappy at the villa today?"

Looking at her indifferently, Ou Qingheng replied, "Mom always had a good impression of you. In fact, she just called and asked me to treat you better."

"Is that so? If that's what she said, then why are you still bullying me, President Ou?"

Yao Yiyi said with a sweet smile.
