I turned my head and looked at Marcus Mo. For a long time, I couldn\'t say anything. She is Marcus Mo\'s sister and she is also my sister in name because I married him. But I sensed that Marcus Mo meant something else.

\"What did you say?\" I asked in a dry voice.

\"Maureen is not my real sister,” Marcus sighed.

“Jiang Yuan and your father hooked up when they were drunk. She\'s your half-sister.\"

Marcus looked me in the eye. “You are the only one that matched. We’ve tested everyone.”

I shook my head in disbelief. I sat down and tried to process the whole situation.

Dad loves mom so much, how can he cheat on her?

But I had to believe Marcus Mo\'s words. He has never lied to me, or to anyone. He was the kind of person that didn’t know how to lie, and couldn’t lie even if he wanted to.

My brain was a mess but I knew one thing. I cannot let them hurt my child.

No matter what the reason may be.

I took a deep breath and looked at Maureen, who was lying on the bed, looking very pale. In my heart, I felt sorry for her but continued to fight for my child. \"So what if she\'s my sister? I don\'t want to save her, not at all!\" I was a pretty good liar. Of course I’d give her my bone marrow, even though she’s a little piece of shit. But I don’t want my baby aborted. I’m keeping this child at all costs.

\"Sarah! She\'s your own sister! Just donate some bone marrow, is that too much to ask?\"

I really loved this man but my ridiculous expectation that he’d love me in return, that was on me. That really was my flaw, my desire for him to love me. It wasn’t his fault that he didn’t love me. He had been forced to marry me.

\"I see.\" I said with a bitter smile. I knew then and there, that my feelings for him really were one-sided the whole time.

\"You see? What are you saying?” The expression on his face changed. I saw panic in his eyes.

He suddenly stood up. “What I need now is that you donate your bone marrow to Maureen. She has no more time. We\'ll talk about the rest later.\" Marcus Mo stopped and said harshly to me, \"If you don\'t cooperate, I will have to use force.\"

\"You can’t do that! It\'s against the law!\"

As soon as the words came out of my mouth, Marcus Mo signaled and two big men came and held me.

I panicked in an instant.

\"Marcus Mo, you can\'t do this to me! You can\'t do this to my child!\" As I struggled, I yelled at him.

As if in response, the child inside my belly seemed to twitch.

Marcus Mo looked at me, his face indifferent.

He doesn\'t care about me at all! He doesn\'t care about the our child!

I can\'t let them hurt my child!

I don\'t know where my strength came from. I broke free from the two men and knelt down to Marcus Mo, pleading in tears: \"Please, don\'t kill my child! I promise to donate bone marrow to Maureen, but do not kill my child!”

I was forced to the operating table, Dr. Ji held a needle as he walked toward me. Next to him was Marcus, his face indifferent to my pain.

Lying on the cold operating table, I closed my eyes in despair.
