Chapter 1

Aubrey's POV                          I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock.                           "Aubrey, wake up honey!" my father's voice echoed into my room shortly after.                           I released a groan as I turned over to my phone, hitting the "stop" button before tossing it carelessly onto the bed.                           Moments later I dragged myself off of my not so comfy twin sized bed, and made my way to the new bathroom.                           This new house wasn't as big compared to our old home; not t

Chapter 2

I watched his hand as he pulled out a cigarette from his pocket, and put it between his pink lips. Is smoking even allowed in this school?  I questionably looked at him as he leaned closer to me, poking the cigarette at my upper lip. "What? New girl doesn't want to smoke with me?" he taunted under his breath as the cigarette was still between his lips, "That's a first."  Everyone started mumbling, giggling, whispering and I knew it was about me and this guy. I bit my lower lip and turned my head slightly to the side, as the cigarette brushed against my cheek. "You're lucky you're new," he commented for a last time before he pushed himself away from me. I stood frozen for a few second before fixing the strap of the bag on my shoulder. I swallowed as everyone's attention was on me. The guy was still standing there, watching my every move. I breathed deeply as I forced myself between the waves of people in the hallway. Okay, just find

Chapter 3

It looked like a prison. The lunch ladies looked mean; they looked like they hated their lives. They stood there lifelessly as they throw a bunch of half cooked food onto the silver trays.                           Although I wasn't very hungry, I grabbed a tray anyways. I followed everyone else and followed the assembly line of serving food. In the end, I had lumpy mashed potatoes, under cooked chicken wings, and a side of fruits. I cringed as I looked at my tray of food. Coming from a really nice looking school, their food looked like trash.                          I peered across the cafeteria. There was only one empty table, in the corner next to the trash bins. I shrugged. Considering that I had nothing to lose, I went and sat on the empty table. I laid my tray of horror down as I pulled out my sketchbo

Chapter 4

I tried my best to focus back on the painting, however I couldn't help but to glance back in his direction. My bully was in the same room as me, again.  "Looking for me, Princess?" a voice came from behind me. My breathing quickly stopped as turned my head towards my right. His face was over my shoulder, almost close enough for him to rest his chin on it.  I cleared my throat and proceeded to paint, trying to ignore his haunting presence. I grabbed the paint brush and softly stroked it against the canvas. I felt a sudden push beneath my elbow, and before I knew it, the brush created a long streak across my painting. I bit my lower lip and dropped the brush. I looked up at him as he maintained the hideous smirk on his face.  My heart was beating quickly, and as expected, the teacher didn't do anything. Instead, she acted as if she was ignoring the situation on purpose.  My whole bo

Chapter 5

I smiled proudly as I slightly bit my lower lip. If anyone was watching me right now, I'd probably look like a crazy girl fantasizing over her own artwork. I blew against the canvas in effort of making the paint dry faster before my next class start. However, paint doesn't dry that quickly.                          Instead, I grabbed a sticky note from my back and wrote "Wet painting! Don't touch please." And stuck it to the wooden pencil holder right below the canvas. I stepped back and admired the color of the painting really quick before packing up for my next class. Smiling as I exited the room, I found myself running to a pile of kids in the middle of the hallway. Everyone was rushing towards one side of the hallway. Confused, I followed the crowd.  A little later, I figured out that all the students squeezing their way through the tight hallway was to watch two stude

Chapter 6

By this time, the crowd was starting to vanish. They were upset that they didn't get to see the fight finishing fully. But at this point, it's obvious who won. I took a last glance back at Landon as he kept his eyes on me. Something softened in him as he saw me dragging Isaiah's body down the hallway. "Jerk," I mumbled as turned back around towards the door.  Suddenly, Isaiah's weight has been lifted off of me by a little.  "I'll help you," the familiar voice called out. It was the girl that was attempting to stop me from breaking up the fight earlier. "You're brave," she started, "and with you being a girl, being able to break up a fight that's impressive." I smiled at her compliment and shook my head. "It's sad to see everyone not doing anything to help." I commented. "You're a bad-ass," I heard Isaiah mumbled beneath his brea

Chapter 7

"I swear, you're just taking all of my clothes now," Colton said, laughing as he pulled out long sleeve tee.  "I swear, you're just taking all of my clothes now," I mocked him. Colton gave me the death stare as he threw the shirt at my face. I laughed and willingly caught the shirt with my face. I threw on the long sleeve and got on my tippy toes as I swung my arm around his neck from the side.  "You're my bestest friend!" I exclaimed as I nuzzled my nose against the side of his head. Colton laughed and shrugged me off, "Go away, you creep."  I smiled as I took a step back.  Colton and I's friendship has gotten closer ever since the first day I came to this school. He was attractive, never the less he was also caring.  "Let's go get ice cream," Colton suggested as he threw an arm around me.

Chapter 8

Aside from one girl in particular. I rose an eyebrow as I walked towards my seat. There sitting, was a girl with wavy blonde hair. She was extremely skinny, however the only meat that was on her body was her chest and bottom. She was sitting only on half of the chair, majority of her body leaning towards Landon. They were joking and flirting in some type of way. She glances back at me for a second before giving her full attention back to Landon. I sensed that she was ignoring me on purpose.  Quietly, I set my bag on top of my table, and stood patiently until she got out of my seat. Class was already starting, and Mr. Winston was horrible in getting the class to follow his guidelines.  A few minutes passes by and the girl uneasily took a few glances back at me. She finally cleared her throat and turned her body towards me, "Do you mind?" I lifted my eye brows looked at her in disbelief, "Yes, I do." I bluntly re

Chapter 9

Ever since the incident, I haven't seen Landon in any of our classes the past few days. Even though I was thankful that he hasn't been around, I was still curious as to where he ended up.                           Some students said he got expelled, or suspended. Some even said he was in prison. But from what I've heard, his dad would've had enough money to bail him out of any of these situations.                           I opened the door leading to the private art room and sat in the same seat as I have since my first day of school. Plugging in my earbuds, I walked towards one end of the classroom where all the different size of canvases was stacked up against the wall. My eyes caught attention of the largest canvas, twenty-four by thirty-six inches. An idea popped into my mind as a small light bulb l

Chapter 10

With my fingers tapping against my chin, and my rabbit slippers slapping the hard wood floor as I take each step; I paced around the center of my bedroom. I was wearing one of Colton's oversized olive-green hoodie, along with my loose pajama pants dragging on the floor, and my messy wavy hair was sitting in a loose bun on top of my head.                          "You look like you're about to go to war," Isaiah commented, laughing at my uncontrollable pacing.                           I quickly hushed him as I brought my fingers back up to my chin.                          "I left the classroom right after the incident," I mumbled to myself, "there's no way I put that in my locker!" I screamed as I pointed to the galaxy pain
