War Queen の全チャプター: チャプター 1 - チャプター 10

1-The beginning

Our village was one of the fore-founding ones. From us came so many settlements and colonies, and we continued to increase with time. Our relationship with others and nature was excellent and beneficial. We scratched each other's backs, and at the same time, there was no war. We lived in peace and good health. Ours was to rest and let nature do its work. There was no need for fighting or war. We never trained our young ones to fight but rather to take from what life gives us and to give back. It was a win-win situation. If we worship the gods that protect and guide us. If we continually pay homage to those who fell for us to succeed. That was all we had to do.

Chapter 2

Nobody ever said growing up was going to be easy. However, I doubt my living conditions were what they had in my mind when making that valid statement. Think about it, who would have thought of a human living in the plane of the gods and goddesses that we worshipped—obviously, nobody.  And who would have thought that my surviving rates would be this high? I am still alive. Again, absolutely nobody, including myself. My caretaker, known as Arthuila, was a minor god in the grand scheme. I believe that to be the reason I was still alive. None of the gods that I was meant to fight, and kill was aware of my being, which could be a significant downfall on their sight but a substantial blessing for me.

Chapter 3

A moon has passed, and Arthy has taught me almost everything on all the gods out there. There was a lot, but only ten gods stood out. Apparently, they were the most powerful and probably the most troublesome. Thankfully no one had disturbed us, and we were left to our devices. It gave me a chance to think long and hard on how I wanted to win the war. Killing a god relied on humans not believing in them. It meant that someone had to be there to turn their hearts away from them. This meant that destiny wasn't only for me, but instead, I needed an accomplice. The only problem was the prophecy never said anything about that (I asked Arthy about it). If it never said anything, how was I expected to complete it all?

Chapter 4

Dreams are realities not yet set in stone. Before I opened my eyes, I knew I was no longer in the cave we were living in.  I had landed in a strange and foreign land filled with people who looked exactly like and at the same time nothing like me. After spending my whole life with Arthy, it was weird to see concise people (they were closer t

Chapter 5

It took a while to connect with reality after I had woken up. The effects were hurting, and with what felt like bruises around my arms and the headache I was sure I didn't have before sleeping all gave me better reasons to go back. Though the fear in Arthy’s eyes made me rethink sleeping. He had tried shaking me awake, which explained the bruises; the god sometimes couldn’t control his strength, but I was unresponsive for a long time. He would have thought me dead if not for the slow rising and falling off my chest. His fear was funny and scary. It wasn't like this was the first time it had happened, but every time I had a coma-like dream, something terrible would happen.

Chapter 6

Kiluaroth wasn't sure what he was to do with the many notes that littered the edge of his domain. At first, picking them was easy, reading through the contents was repetitive and seeing them, again and again, became irritating quite. When he became aware of the fact that he wasn't the only one stuck dealing with unwanted notes, his heart was put to rest.  Though the contents of the letter were enough to frighten a small god, he was one of the first, a part of the big three. A note like this would

Chapter 7

Anthuina always had a strange obsession with the little humans she had created ever since she was born. It was something we could never understand but couldn't hold it against her. We didn't need to have a  close relationship or the bond to thrive and be required. After all, she was the one who created them and sent them to paradise when they died. She had a connection with them which was why we suspected and expected it when she fell in love with a human. She walked amongst them every day. And though she was invisible to their eyes, there were some people who generations before them, had made deals with gods and had a 'spiritual eye'. It was unexplained how him, a street rat, someone with no family members and his lineage couldn't be traced could have seen her when she was mourning for a fallen bird. Maybe

Chapter 8

'Welcome one, welcome all to the first-ever gods battle royale where the most prominent, worst and greatest gods will battle for our future, both human and gods alike. The battle is going to run for fifty rising and setting suns with the fights happening on what the humans call the beginning of the 'week'. Five matches in the preliminary round and three battles in the deciding series before the last two which will seal our fate.  Here comes the line-up:Laiithu vs Malaiwu

Chapter 9

The battle between Anthuina and Jacilis was attended by only a few deities. No one was that concerned with whatever the battle was going to be. Yes, they might have been part of the important circle, but even with that their roles were often seen as insignificant that often people forgot about them.  Even I myself, didn’t want to go, the battle of a few days was still fresh in my head. The gods were truly all powerful, to think that we were so sure that one side would win, prevail from the onset, only for the tides to turn and behold it was the other. Also, I was scared. Not only scared but p

Chapter 10

Our world’s chaos had spilled and destroyed the human realm more than usual. As the gods were beings too, they dealt with betrayal the same way humans do, brood and throw things around just maybe a thousand times more which inevitably affected humans more. Trees would sprout in the middle of huts, the ground would open up and strange animals would come forth, the little animals they had, would begin speaking like humans and don’t get me started on what people were giving birth too, those days. Arthy had told me that while people feared for their lives, a lot of them remained hopeful that the strange things were a good sign of what I was doing.
