Chapter 316 Prove It!

'As long as you promise to come back to me, I will forgive you, okay?'

No one had ever seen such a humble side of Eldest Young Master Mu. No one would want to believe that he would whimper to beg someone.

He had pleaded with his eyes, words, and gestures!

'Please, say that you still love me. Please say that you are still my woman.'

Gu Anran's heart had never been as flustered or as sour as she had felt then. She was not afraid of how he would treat her, nor was she terrified for Jiang Nan. Instead, she worried about Mu Zhanbei. For some reason, she had a feeling that he would be in some kind of trouble.

She panicked. She was so anxious that she searched for Jiang Nan's eyes. Her resolve had wavered, and she was afraid that she would regret her decision. However, when she looked up, she did not see Jiang Nan. Instead, she saw Mu Fengjin, who stood not far from them.

Mu Fengjin looked at them with a blank expression on his face. He did not say anything thus far, but she felt cold when she laid eyes on him. Since things had already reached that point, why would she turn back then?

She struggled with all her might, but she could not break free from Mu Zhanbei's grip. Even though he did not exert force on her, he did not let go of her.

However, Gu Anran's struggles were like stabs to his heart! She was not willing to be with him anymore, was she? She did not want to go back to him. Even if he whispered to her and begged her, she would still not agree to be with him.

He might have suffered an internal injury, but it would not kill him.

He looked down at Gu Anran as he held her hand. It was as if he wanted to give her more courage. However, he was unsure if it was the right thing to do. His big brother's face was so pale that he did not even look human. Jiang Nan was afraid that something might happen to Mu Zhanbei.

Mu Zhanbei's indifferent face grew colder, and he stood upright. He stared at the two individuals in front of him with his ruthless gaze and pursed his lips. He could even taste blood.

He chuckled. Coupled with the blank expression on his face, it sounded like a dead person who had lost all traces of life. He might still be breathing, but he was like a walking corpse.

He marched toward Jiang Nan. Gu Anran panicked for a moment and immediately turned around to face him. She protected Jiang Nan from behind her.

"No more hurting him! Mu Zhanbei, if you... If you..."

Nevertheless, he continued to take slow steps toward them. Gu Anran panicked as then grabbed something in her hand and slammed it hard on the table.

"Stop! Don't come over!" She had a sharp shard of glass in her hand, and she aimed it at Mu Zhanbei.

"You want to go against me?" He wanted to laugh at the ridiculousness of the situation.

She was a woman who lacked the strength to hold a chicken, yet she held a broken glass bottle against him. Under the light, the glass glowed with a bleak blue luster. The coldness was so icy and bone-chilling that the blood within him could freeze in an instant.

"Don't come over here!" He continued his march toward Gu Anran. The woman was so scared that she nearly threw away the broken bottle in her hand.

Mu Zhanbei grabbed her hand in a flash.

He covered her hand in his, and he tightened his grip. Then he pointed the shard of glass against his chest.

"You—"

"Prove it!"

Mu Zhanbei stared at her with eyes like the cold night sky. His voice was as cold as a frozen knife that pierced straight into her heart.

"If you stab it in me, I'll let you go! DO IT!"

"No..." Gu Anran did not expect that he would be so crazy!

The glass bottle shards were very sharp, and when he pressed them firmly on his chest, blood oozed from his clothes.

He would not go easy on anyone, not even with himself! If he plunged it in, it would be embedded deep in his chest.

Gu Anran wanted to let go of the glass, but Mu Zhanbei had wrapped his hand around hers tightly. She could not let go as he kept her hand firmly on his chest!

"He's the person you love, right? If you can prove it, I'll believe you! Stab this into mt, and I promise to let you walk out of this island with him. I won't ever bother you again!"

He smiled coldly at her. It was a beautiful smile that could make the world lose its color, but it was also a smile so cold that it could turn a soul into charcoal!
