Makawa grew extremely anxious at the thought. He immediately cried and pleaded.

“Mr. Wade, with all due respect, I am considered a talented individual in the biopharmaceutical industry. If you fire me, it will be a great loss to you. I’m begging you; please let me stay on. I will work as hard as I can for you!”

Charlie calmly replied, “So now you’re begging. I’m afraid it’s too late. You must settle the resignation procedures by today. Otherwise, the company will end our contract with you by force.”

After that, Charlie looked at Isaac and snapped, “Get him out of here.”

Charlie had already received the shares transferred from Ichiro. He was the new boss for Kobayashi Pharma. As such, he was in control of everyone’s life and death.

Whoever offended him would surely be kicked out!

With that new-found knowledge in mind, everyone stood still like a quail in their respective places. No one dared move or speak a word.

Charlie Wade then spoke, “To be frank with you all, I only need to retain the production department for Kobayashi Pharma. The rest of the departments, such as R&D, marketing, and sales... can be removed!”

Once these words came out of his mouth, everyone was stunned and held their breath.

Charlie Wade then continued, “The fame of Apothecary Stomach Pill is spread by word of mouth, and it is more effective than by any means of advertisement. As such, there is no need to retain anyone from the marketing department.

“The same goes for the sales department. Our Apothecary Stomach Pill has unlimited demand, and salesmen need to take the initiative to ask for more stocks. Therefore, there is no need to retain any sales department to market the products in many areas.

“To sum it up, Kobayashi Pharma’s marketing and sales departments will be disbanded, including all its employees and leaders!”

The statement threw the entire company into an instant uproar.

Including the few major departments mentioned, the others had all been practically axed except the production department. This would mean thousands were about to lose their jobs!

Three-quarters of the top management in Kobayashi Pharma would be unemployed too!

According to a survey, there was a massive demand for luxurious products from the Japanese ladies such as Channel, LV, or Gucci branded bags. Ninety percent of them would at least own one of these, not to mention other luxurious products.

No doubt such families could live in comfort on a typical day. But on a rainy day, when the family’s income source was deeply affected and staggered, they would instantly be placed on the brink of bankruptcy.
