Charlie sighed with a saddened expression. He then turned around and bought some small Hermes items from the counter as the accompanying products. After matching up to $500,000, he swiped his card to checkout and carried the bunch of Hermes gift boxes out of the shop and headed to the VIP lounge.

As soon as Charlie arrived at the VIP lounge, Loreen was already waiting for him inside.

Seeing Charlie walking into the lounge with all those Hermes bags, Loreen couldn’t help but feel a little jealous as she spoke. “I was wondering why I didn't see you when I arrived. Now I know where you’ve been. Seems like someone is busying shopping at Hermes. Are these presents for Claire?”

Charlie nodded very naturally. “I’m finally here in the big city of Eastcliff, so of course I’ll have to buy some souvenirs for my wife.”

Loreen curled her lips and said. “Charlie…I realized that you have a lot of secrets. Quinn Golding is a superstar and her autograph, once placed on an online platform, can fetch up to a few thousand dollars. You’ve known her since you were little and you’ve never found the need to raise this?”

Charlie said dully, “How could I bring up her name for my own glory? Wouldn’t that betray the kindness her family has showered upon me?”

Loreen nodded slightly and replied. “That…is true…”

As they were conversing, she suddenly wanted to know some gossip, so she asked, “So, does Claire know that you and the superstar are acquainted?”

Charlie shook his head and replied. “Of course not. I didn’t inform anyone of this matter. It was just that I didn’t expect you to spot us yesterday at Herrolls Bay. Otherwise, I’m quite sure you wouldn’t have known it too.”

Loreen replied happily. “Since now that I’ve known some information about you that even Claire doesn’t know, does this mean that our relationship has risen to another level?”

Charlie helplessly said, “What nonsense are you thinking? I’ve already mentioned that it was coincidental that you saw that.”

Loreen snorted softly. “Whether coincidental or not, I still got to know one more secret about you!”

As she spoke, she stared at Charlie’s eyes and asked. “Charlie…How many more secrets do you have? It feels to me that you’re one of the mysterious types of people. It’s as if I can’t see through you at all.”

Charlie did not want to linger on this question any longer and thus, tried to divert the conversation elsewhere by ridiculing her. “What else is there to see? When we had gone to the hot spring together back then, I had worn a pair of swimming trunks. You’ve seen almost everything about me. The rest is not available for your viewing.

Loreen blushed upon hearing that.

In her mind, the image of Charlie’s strong and perfect body figure fitted onto a pair of swimming trunks appeared. Her heart fluttered in ecstasy and her heartbeat sped up!

As she was blushing, she replied with a shy tone, “Why can’t I see the rest…?”

Charlie said embarrassingly. “Do you have to ask that question? We’re friends and you’re my wife’s best friend. Of course I can’t show you the rest!”

Loreen lowered her head and whispered softly. “Why do you treat me like this? Remember that time when I was injured? I’ve already shown you parts of my body that you shouldn’t be seeing. Parts that you shouldn’t be touching, you’ve already touched it all…isn’t that so?”

Charlie blurted, “These are two different things. I was trying to save you, I wasn’t trying to take advantage of you.”

Loreen pouted and rolled her eyes at Charlie. “Who knows? Maybe you were taking advantage? Maybe you were saving people and taking advantage at the same time? Like…both!”

After saying those, she hurriedly and earnestly continued, “Actually, I don’t really mind if you were taking advantage of me. Even if you want to…do more than that…I’m willing to let you do so…”
