Charlie nodded slightly as he said, “If I was not giving you face, I would have already asked him to swallow the jade pendant during the birthday banquet so that he would have to undergo another operation to take it out. Loreen looked at Charlie, “I know that you are only letting him off because you are giving me face. When my cousin arrives in Aurous Hill, I will bring him along for dinner so that he can give you a toast and apologize to you then.”

Charlie ignored her. He looked up at the big screen before he said, “Hey, it seems as though the passengers for the first-class and business class cabin for our flight can already start boarding the plane. Let’s go.”

Loreen hummed as she stood up to gather her luggage as she asked casually, “Did you tell Claire that both of us will be going back together today?”

Charlie nodded as he said, “I already texted her last night.”

Loreen smiled as she asked, “Claire will not be jealous, right?”

“Why would she be jealous?” Charlie said, “She already knew that I attended your grandmother’s birthday banquet. So, I already told her directly that coincidentally, you will also be coming back to Aurous Hill and that you were the one who booked the flight ticket for me.”

Loreen smiled before she nodded and said, “Then, did you tell Claire that you gifted my grandmother a fan that was worth tens of millions of dollars?”

“No.” Charlie said, “Remember not to tell Claire about this matter. She does not know anything about my relationship with Mr. Golding.”

“I know.” Loreen said seriously, “Don’t worry. I will not tell her anything.”

Charlie felt more relieved. After that, both of them got onto the plane from the VIP boarding gate.

The two seats in the first-class cabin were next to one another. Loreen chose the position next to the window and Charlie sat down beside her.

After boarding the plane, Claire called Charlie and smiled as she asked, “Husband, have you boarded the plane already?”

“Yes, I just got on the plane.” Charlie replied, “The plane will be taking off in twenty minutes.”

Claire asked again, “Then, Loreen is with you, right?”

“Yes.” Charlie nodded and said, “She is sitting next to me now.”

Claire said, “You have to take good care of her.”

Charlie replied helplessly, “I am not the one flying the plane. There are flight attendants in charge of everyone’s food and drinks along the way. So, what can I possibly do to take care of her?”

Loreen deliberately leaned in closer towards the cell phone as she smiled and said, “You can catch hold of me when the plane encounters a turbulence, in case I get thrown out of the plane…”

Claire thought Loreen was just kidding. So, she laughed as she said, “You should buckle up your seat belt. What if Charlie cannot catch you in time then?”
