Chapter 8: You're not alone

We're in the dining hall. There's two guy sitting in front of me and they are staring at me as if I'll ever do something that they don't like. I look at Jade who's sitting at my side.

"What are we doing?" I ask after nudging her. 

"Waiting for the pizza to arrive. Man, I'm famish!" She response. She said that Hades is their cook but he is feeling lazy today, so dinner is pizza. 

"Who is she?" The blonde guy ask pertaining to me. I look at him and smile while tilting my head to the side. "She's creeping me out." He added. 

"This is... What is your name? I forgot to ask." Jade said while laughing. She even scratch the back of her head.

"You don't know her yet you let her in?!" The guy with the black hair gasp in horror. "What if she's one of them? You're going to get us killed." Wow, that's one hell of an exageration. I raised my eyebrow at smile and smile.

"I'm Mamo. At least that's what they called me. I haven't seen my birth certificate nor my death certificate. And no I won't kill you, you guys don't even revive back." I said casually, more on mumbling not caring if they even understand me.

"Well, she's Mamo." She pointed at the blonde guy. "That's Jake, my little brother. The other one is Hades and he's just over reacting." 

"I am not over reacting! You're not the one being chased by a mad scientist. And you." Hades pointed at me, hes eyes are bulging. "What do you mean death certificate and revive?" he ask and I shrug.

"More like obsessed scientist. Dr. Remulla is obsessed at you, genuis." Jake countered at him before looking at me. "You should answer his question. I want to know too." He told me. 

"You promised me, Mamo." Jade added. Oh, so I'm obliged to answer every question they throw at me. I'm not even told and when did I promise? I sighed before opening my mouth.

"Tell me about you first before I answer you." I told them while laughing. 

"You're really creepy." Jake told me before looking at his sister.

"You already know me. You even test your theory, stupid!" Jade shriek which makes me laugh harder. 

"Sorry about that. I'm just a curious little girl." I look at her cutely. 

"Whatever. Yes, I can see my death five or ten seconds it happen." she said in defeat. 

"Your parents did not believe you so this house was left in your care?" I assumed. I saw their eyes widens.

"How'd you know that?" Jake ask. I shrug again and laugh. 

"Oh, I know." I just said at them. 

"Yes. We were supposed to go home that time. I told them that we should stay a little bit before riding our car becuase a huge truck will run over it but they did not believe it. They were already inside waiting for us to go in but I hesitate. I was holding Jake and we..." Jade's tears rolled down her cheek.

"We watch them as truck run them over. I...What the heck?!" He stop talking and glared at me. 

"Cool. I should have that power." I said laughing.

"That's dangerous! What is I don't have the power to repel things?!" Jake ask me. Is he mad? 

"I know you do. I just want to test my theory." I reasoned out. 

"How would you know that?!" He shouted at me and I just laugh at him. 

"You two wouldn't be alive till now if you don't. You're just nearby when the accident happen. I'm thinking just beside the car. It's imposible for you to surive when theirs a bebris flying around." I explain when I stop laughing he and Jade sighed.

"Aren't you so sharp to figure that out?" Hades butt in. I look at him and smile cheekily. 

"Not as smart as you." I countered. He raise his eyebrows at me before shaking his head.

"Yeah, yeah. I'm just a genuis. I don't have superpowers like them." He said.

"Building a fortress like this is already a power." Jade said and I agreed. It's not easy making this.

"So..." they said in unison. I guess I don't have anymore reason to not tell them.

"I'm already dead. I died multiple times, 68? 78?" I started. "It's true." 

"I can hear a but." Hades said and I nodded.

"But for only 5 minutes. I died for only 5 minutes. How did I know that?" I look at Jade and smirk. "I'm not suicidal but I do love death, it's very peaceful. It's just my Nurse which my parents hired kill me everytime she got a chance." I told them.

"Why didn't you tell your parents?" Jade ask. 

"Oh, they want me dead too. They did not hire Talia to be my nurse really. They hired her to kill me." I heard them gasp and I just smile at them.

"That's why there's a death certificate?" Jake ask me.

"Yes. They killed Mandy instead since they can't kill me. Mandy is a maid who really cares for me. They killed her so they can have a proper burial for their daughter while I was really in the basement, locked up and being killed by Talia." I continue my story. 

"So... Why are you here?" 

"I scape. Killed my self to get out of the chains and I killed Talia. I thought She's like me, that everyone's like me but she didn't get back alive." I laugh at their reaction. 

"You're really creepy." Jake commented.

"Can you kill yourself right now?" 

"Hades!" Jake and Jade shouted. 

"Why the hell would you like to see her dead?" Jade ask horrified. "I hate death!" 

"Same, sister." Jake seconded.

"To test my theory." Hades said, clearly mimicing me. 

"That's my line." I said laughing. 

"Not anymore. I'm the genuis here. The line fit me better." He even stick his tongue out as if it justify what he said. 

"You guys seriously gonna fight who's line is who? My goodness, Where the hell is the pizza?" Jade complain. And as soon as she said those words the doorbell rang.

"Go get it Jake." Hades said. "I'm not going outside, Dr. Remulla might found me." They look at me as if they want me to o outside.

"I'm fine going outside, but i'm locked up my whole life so I don't know want to do." I reasoned. Half true. I'm just being lazy, so Jake don't have a choice but to go.

They sure are good at dealing with this situation. I guess they are use to it. Someone not dying, cuase they are too. 

"So, tell me. Why do your parents wants you dead?" Hades ask me. And here I thought we're done with the topic. Genuis are really curious with a lot of things, I guess.

"I was a monster. I'm premature and not fully developed. I did not heal until Talia keeps killing me. They say that I'm just a disgrace to the families name. Better dead than being targetted by the gossips is their perspective, gotta respect that." I answered him and he nodded.

"Here's dinner!" Jake announced as soon as he went back inside with a huge box of pizza in his hand. 

"Oh, Finally I can eat. I'm so hungry." Jade said stretching her hands and getting ready to get her share as Jake untangled the rope keepin the box close and intact.

I wonder how does the pizza taste and they seem excited and drooling at the sight of it. It might be really that good. I haven't eaten one before. Talia won't let me eat until she feels like I need to.

I gulp once the aroma of the pizza hit my nose. It really smells good.

"Dig in!" Jade said as she's the first one to get her share of the pizza and eat it. "Hmmm... Taste good! This is heaven!" She mumbled. I copied her and start eating.

"This is good. This is the first time eat this. Talia won't let m eat." I told them and they all look at me.

"As in ever?" Jade ask.

"Well, she let me eat if she felt like it and all of it are her leftovers." I told them.

"Eww. Gross. Stop talking about that and Let's just enjoy this pizza!" Jade exclaimed and took a huge bite on her pizza. I shrug and eat to my hearts content.
