Chapter 3: Unknown

Talia was humming softly as she open Mamo's room. Her eyes is deadly and a smirk is forming on her lips. She can't wait to see what's waiting inside the room. 

She know three times before opening the door even she knew no one would answer her. She laugh to herself.

"Good morning, Little mons---How?!" she gasp in horror as she see Mamo sitting in the corner of the room curiously staring at her. "Oh, you're awake. Why is it so bloody in here?" she and smile.

"Nose...bleed...Night." Mamo replied while pointing at her nose. She cock her head sideways before pointing her head. "Hurts... inject please." she ask Talia. Talia was shock that the littl girl even ask her to inject her again. She studied the little girl before roaming around the room. 

"Sure, but later, okay? You eat first. How was your sleep last night?" Talia pat the little girls head and smile. She's looking intently at the girl studying her closely. 

"Slept well. Like... dead." Mamo replied. Talia nods her head and reach for the tiny hand of Mamo where she injected her last night. It has a huge violet patch on it assuring her that the poison worked but not enough to kill the child, she thought.

"That's... good news. I'll go ahead and get your food downstairs and your medication. Wait for me here." she said softly. She walk out of the room while giving Mamo one confuse glance.

Talia was very sure she gave the right dose last night. She used it often and no one ever made it alive except the little monster. Maybe there was a mistake on how she mix it this time. Well, she'll make it right next time. No need to rush.

For the first time in Mamo's existence, she actually slept well without pain and she wanted it again and again. It felt good, like she was normal. And she was addicted to it. She want more of that feeling even if she have to be injected everyday just to feel it. 

She hold her hand out before touching her face. It feels a little dry than before. Maybe it was also because of the medication Talia gave her. It actually worked, not like the one her doctor gave her. 

Her eyes drop at her arm, on the disfigured area. Her forehead crease as she narrow her eyes on it before smiling happily. The area heals a little as if a new skin is showing and covering her exposed flesh. 

She hear the door open and Talia move inside with her food. She smiled at the lady.

"Here. Eat little monster." Talia shove the plate to Mamo before turning her back on th child. "I'll just call the maid to clean up your room. After you eat, I'll give your medication." She said with a grin. Mamo just nod her head at hear. 

She went out to look for Mandy, the head maid of the family. She'll let her clean the room of that monster to perfect her stage - that the young girl will die of her sickness. Ahh, she never thought of it, but now that its in front of her why not use it as a props. Perfect timing, Mamo. You're making it easier for me, I give it to you. You're pretty useful this way. 

She saw Mandy asisting a younger maid in the Kitchen so she went right infront of her. 

"I'm sorry for disturbing you Mandy, but can I ask for your help?" she greeted her in such a manner. She put a an apologetic face to make it real.

"Ms. Talia. How can I help you? Jessy can you leave as for a moment?" Mandy instructed the young maid so she can talk to Talia. No one else knows exactly why Talia is in the Mansion. They need to talk in private if it is about Mamo.

"Can you please clean up Mamo's room? I need to prepare her medication so that I can give it to her." Talia said with a sweet smile. Mandy was relief that their is someone else who can sympathize with Mamo. Mamo needs all the love in the world but she can't have it because of the cruel fate.

"Why, yes. I'll go right away." she agreed and she hurriedly move to get some cleaning tools. 

"Thank you." Talia said while looking at the back of the old maid with a grin. Ahh, she loes it when everything flows according to her plan. Now, then time to make a new medication for the little monster. 

Mandy opens the door in Mamo's room. She saw the child reading the book she gave her. Her eyes roam around the room. Blood is everywhere. 

"Mamo." she called her softly giving her a soft smile. "How are you, my dear child?" she ask as she moved towards the kid and softly hugging her. Mandy kneel down to level the child and caress the child right cheek. 

"Mandy! Mamo... Fine. Slept dead night." answered by the young child. Mandy smiled and nod at her. 

"You slept well last night? Now, that's good news, my child. What happen to your room?" she roam her eyes again in the room before her eyes landed on Mamo who's looking at her and with a small smile.

"Nose... Hurts so much. Blood came out. I slept... floor." Mamo responded while poiting out her nose. Mandy noded and sighed. Mamo is always in pain, but this is the first time she bleed out so much that her bed is full of blood. 

"Look, Mandy. Arm heals." Mamo said happily as she held out her arm towards Mandy. "Pain's almost gone. Mamo's healing, Mandy." 

Mandy studied her arm, and she was happy for the young child. It seems like she's starting to heal. Mandy can still remember her arm, it looks like her flesh and some blood is sticking out, but right now she can see that her arm is almost covered by a skin which Mamo don't have before. 

"That's great Mamo. Give it some time, and you'll be healed up. No more pain and medicine. You can go outside soon. I'll take you everywhere you'll want to go when that happens." Mandy said happily. Thank goodness! It's another miracle for the young child. She can't wait to let her see what is waiting for Mamo outside. Mamo can now have normal life like any other kids her age when she finally healed.

"Yes, mandy. I'll be good... Mamo will heal soon." She pat Mamo's head softly so that it won't hurt her. 

"I'll just go ahead and clean your room. Stay there okay? Talia will be her soon to give you your madication." Mandy said as she stood up. She start with the bed. She change all the beddings and make sure that it was properly disinfected so that Mamo will be safe from any viruses and bacterias. She then wipe the blood on the floor.

The door open revealing Talia who is smiling at them as soon as Mandy was done cleaning.

"Thank you for cleaning the romm, Mandy. Mamo, time for your medication." Talia said, walking towards Mamo. "Held out your hand, my dear." Mamo followed her revealing her other hand with the large bruise on it that Mandy hadn't notice earlier.

"What happened to that, Mamo?" she walks towards her to see it better but Talia stop her from coming.

"It's okay Mandy, you may leave us if your done cleaning. It's just a little bruise, since Mamo is a little weak that's the side effect of the medicine." The nurse reassured her. She nod her head and smile at Mamo eventhough she was worried.

"Alright. I'll go ahead then. Good bye Mamo." she said as she waive her hand at Mamo before turning around to leave the room. 

"Bye, Mandy." Mamo whispered and looked at her to waive. As Mandy close the door, Talia tightened her grip to Mamo.

"Now then, be a good monster." Talia said before injecting Mamo her new medication.

Be a good monster and die now. I made sure that you will sleep peacfully with this forever.
