What? Why does he kept on bringing Tom up? What did he ever do to him?

\"This has nothing to do with Tom ! Stop shifting the blame to him, Marcus Mo!” Exasperated, I threw up my hands. “I want a divorce from you and you know exactly why. It’s all about Maureen and nothing else! I don’t want anything to do with you or Maureen anymore!”

He was stunned at this revelation. It took him a while to recover from this. And when he did, he was back to his usual self. But I felt something change.

\"Do you know why you are here, huh, Sarah? You don’t do you? You’re here because I want to protect you! As for the divorce, no! Don\'t even think about it! That’s not going to happen!\"

He stormed out of the door.

There was no mistaking the hurt that I saw in his eyes. The pit of my stomach churned. Suddenly, I wanted to take back everything that I’ve said. But then, the Maureen situation came back to me. I felt my anger rise up again and called him back.

\"Marcus Mo! Marcus Mo! Come back here!

No matter how much I yelled, the man just opened the door as if he didn\'t hear me.

No, he can\'t go!

I don\'t care about anything. I simply picked up the fruit knife on the tea table and yelled at Marcus Mo: \" Marcus Mo, if you dare to walk out of this door, this is the last time you’ll ever see me alive!\"

\"Sarah, goddammit! Stop this! Enough!\" The man almost squeezed these words out of his teeth. The anger in his eyes almost swallowed me alive.

Nervously, I held the knife against my neck.

\"You can try.\"

I put pressure and a tiny red line of appeared.

He took a step forward.

I pressed harder and blood flowed down my neck to the top of my dress.

Finally, he said, \"Come on, what do you want? Anything but divorce, I’ll give it to you.\"

I was surprised that he was so relaxed. For a moment, I really didn\'t know how to say it.

What I want is for him to love me, but how can I ask for that?

But even if he doesn\'t love me, he can\'t love Maureen either. As long as I’m his wife, he can\'t be free to do as he pleases, he can’t keep spending his time with her. Just thinking about it was enough to make my heart ache.

After pondering for a moment, I opened my mouth slowly.

\"I want you to live here with me.\"

\"Good.\"

Though I really did want him to stay here with me, I didn\'t expect him to agree to it.

The next day, he moved things over and lived in another room.

He hardly spoke to me and was silent when he ate or worked. But this was enough for me.

As long as he\'s by my side, that would be enough. Maybe as time went by, he’d learn to love me.

For the next three months, my belly grew bigger day by day.

One day, Marcus was sitting on the sofa, concentrating on a report, when the baby in my belly suddenly moved.

It\'s like a feather brushing my belly. It\'s comfortable and pleasant. This is the first time I feel fetal movement, at first I am not sure, until, it moved twice.

\"Marcus!” I let out a cry of joy. My voice trembled with excitement.

It\'s a fetal movement! No matter how cold Marcus Mo is to me, I can\'t help but want to share my joy with him.

\"What\'s the matter?\"

The man raised his head, showing his deep as ink eyes.

A few seconds later, I came back to myself and said excitedly to him, \"The baby…the baby is moving!\"

I walked towards him, regardless of whether he would like to or not, lifting his hand gently to touch my tummy. It stopped moving. I let his hand go.

\"Okay.\"

He replied in a tender voice, then continued to look at the report. On his face was nothing, neither joy nor anger.

A moment later, he suddenly looked up at me.

\"Would you like to go out for a ride?\"

I didn\'t expect that he would take the initiative to talk to me. I was stunned for several seconds before I finally reacted.

\"Sure.\" I nodded. I haven\'t been out for months. I could use some fresh air.

I changed my clothes and went out with happily. But, what I didn’t know was Maureen was coming with us.
