Chapter thirty one

KIISHA I was still glancing through the books I borrowed from the library when banged, I smack into someone and the books scattered to the ground and an unrestrained anger welled up inside me. "I knew it, you know I've always told you to see an ophthalmologist but you never took to my advice 'cos of your peanut brain, you bird headed fool!," I snapped before bending to pick the books, Kenneth bent down too and I straightened up. "If your filthy hands should touch these books, I assure you that hand will burn. I can't blame you, when you find it hard to read and assimilate, why won't you keep following me around," I rolled my eyes before continuing," I just don't understand, is it that stupidity is your talent or you just decided to make it your goal?"&nb

Chapter thirty two

KIISHA It was a Sunday evening, we decided to go plait our hair and at such we sauntered to our unisex salon  which was located at the outskirts of the male hostel. On getting there, the hair stylist welcomed us with a smile. "When I see you girls, you always bring a smile to my face and I do pray to have beautiful triplets like you," the hair stylist said as we smiled. She was one of those people who found it hard to believe we weren't related at all. She waved at the other stylist who walked up to her, the other stylist was the complete opposite of her, fair, willowy and beautiful. "So which style?" she questioned as we took our seat. "Cornrows," Kiiti replied.

Chapter thirty three

KIISHA We left the assembly immediately the announcement was made by our Vice-Principal, he was always the one concerned about the students affairs in school instead of allowing the Registrar to do his job. He'd announced Kiishi's achievement, Kiishi had gone for the last round of the national essay competition yesterday in Abuja which she won and was reported by almost all the news media. She was labeled the best essayist in Nigeria with an all round scholarship throughout her tertiary years alongside a sum of three hundred thousand Naira and lots of books. The only thing that amused Kiishi in all were the books. She's been busy checking, smelling and flipping through the books since she got back yesterday. In fact,  her hands never left the books, until she settled down to read one which she completed 2 o'clock in the midnight.

Chapter thirty four

JARED She opened the door after the second knock and her eyes widened in surprise, this was the first time I came to her room, I'd met her Mom downstairs and she'd showed me the way to her room. "SP Girl," I greeted with a wave as she moved away to allow me into her room. We'd done the Prefects nomination oral test last Wednesday and the result had been announced the following day. Kiisha has been appointed as the Senior Prefect Girl with Idiat being her assistant while I became the Senior Prefect Boy and Joshua, the assistant. I whirled around her room while taking a good look at it, it was a very big and spacious room painted in white, her queen sized bed was also white with a whit

Chapter thirty five

KIISHA "Be my girlfriend," he appealed. I looked at him for a second before gaining interest in my nails, I decided to start picking my nails, awkward tension filled the air as silence descended. Seconds later, he talked, "Aanuoluwakiisha, you didn't reply me" I smiled before looking up at him. "But I'm nodding," I squeaked and a slow smile appeared on his face. "You mean...," and I nodded again. In a split second, his hand came around my body as he hugged me. "Get off me!" I joked while pushing him awa

Chapter thirty six

KIISHA I'd just finished talking with Kiishi who told me she was back from the boot camp. She'd entered her book 'Crying in Dreams' into a competition and had been shortlisted and at such was invited to a 3-days writing boot camp.  "I'm going to the salon," Mom announced as she walked into my room immediately I dropped my phone. "Oh, okay," I replied as I sprawled to my feet and took my phone. We both sauntered downstairs and I informed Sumayah to help me bring Chicken and Chips with Warm milk to the lounge so far I'll be staying there when Mom leaves. I waved at Mom as she entered her car, standing motionless till she drove out of the compound. When she was out of sight, I went to the lounge and drew out a bikini chair as Sumaya

Third person POV  "Ma'am, everything is set," Clara said to her madam who was combing her synthetic hair while looking at herself in the mirror. Madam Toriola turned to her with a smile. "Okay then, let's get going," she said as she picked up her white cross bag that perfectly matched her short Ankara gown. They descended the stairs with Toriola taking a good look at the house, she would surely miss this place. After taking a satisfying look, she locked the door and entered the car alongside Clara who sat at the back with her daughter to which Clara was the nanny. Seconds later, the chauffeur drove out of the compound as they headed to the airport in silence.

KIISHA "We are here," Jared's driver announced, Jared had insisted we go back to school together and I'd accepted. "Okay," we both responded in unison as we got down with our bags and the driver waved at us before leaving. When he was out of sight, Jared turned to me with a smile, he opened his mouth to talk but Quadri's voice hindered him. "I have to go now, bye, Reina," he said before placing a soft kiss on my forehead, I smiled at him as he walked to Quadri, Quadri waved at me before they both proceeded to the boys hostel while I headed to my hostel. "Hey," Kiiti shouted as she jumped off her bed and jumped on me. "

Chapter thirty nine

JARED It's been a week now and Kiisha has been avoiding me like a plague, she didn't give me any audience to explain myself. Even Kiiti wasn't talking to Joshua again and they've decided to not have anything doing with us, we don't eat together anymore, even during the JETs class or extra class or our study period, Kiisha didn't talk to me even when the need arises and I've been feeling like shit. Walking into the Royal Garden, my eyes met with hers and it locked on like magnets before she eyed me and hissed scathingly. There was no one in the garden except the two of us, we were to study and the others were yet to arrive. "Hi," I greeted quietly as I sat by her. She didn't reply but decided to flip through the pages of her textbook.

Chapter forty

KIISHA "But it's a project, why can't you do it together with him?" Kiishi questioned as she scribbled the topic on a paper. I'd told her about the English project immediately we got back from school so also Kiiti, she was going to help Kiiti write too for both her and Joshua while they only practiced together. How I wish it could be like that for me and Jared but it was impossible. I sighed before replying, "I don't want to have anything to do with him" "Kiisha, stop being bull headed, you just have to listen to what happened," Kiiti interjected and I rolled my eyes. "That's true, if you don't want him to say it, let Kiiti explain it to you," Kiishi added and I scoffed. Why w
