Chapter forty one

Third person POV "Toriola, you have to stand up, I need you, your daughter needs you, we all miss you, please get up," Lanre begged sadly while holding the unconscious Toriola's hand. He got back to Nigeria after Toriola got out of surgery, ever since then Toriola didn't open her eyes, she had been in coma for eight days now without any improvement. The police had told him the nanny had probably died considering the fact that her wallet and ID card was found with the only lady amongst the robbers which implies that she might actually be one of them. Their other daughter on the other hand was missing, no one knew if she was alive or dead and he really needs to hire a private investigator since the police were seen as sluggish with the work.

Chapter forty two

JARED It was our last day in school and my last day in RGC. Mom had informed me two nights ago that we were leaving for Spain today and for good since she had filed for an annulment. She said she couldn't put up with Dad's attitude again so she was divorcing him. We'll be going to my uncle's place first before everything gets settled. Jacinth would start her Master's program over there and I would resume for the next session in Lyra's school. I didn't want to leave but I can't just abandon my family, Dad doesn't worth it so I have to go with Mom, whereas I have no reason whatsoever to stay here except my friends of course and Kiisha but this same Kiisha had made it known that she didn't want anything doing with me and I've decided to give her space. Throughout the revision week, our exam period and till today I didn't say anythin

Chapter forty three

KIISHA I was in the bathroom when I heard the door of our room open, I knew it was Kiishi and Kiiti considering they were talking loudly whereas no other person could just barge into our room. "What Kiisha did is extremely bad," I heard Kiiti say and I decided to give my ears their full attention. "Yeah, accepted he placed a bet on her but since he realized his feelings for her he stopped it, right?" Kiishi queried and I furrowed my eyebrows. Certainly, they wanted me to hear what they were saying.  "Yes, I can still remember clearly the explanation they gave me saying Jared even brought his motorcycle that day and it was even before he asked Kiisha out, immediately he realised his feelings for her and told them he wasn't up for

Chapter forty four

KIISHA Time flew like an arrow and September arrived in a flash, summer break ended and school resumed.  To me, the holiday was more than boring, the worst so far though we went to Georgia but everything was just boring to me. Throughout the holiday, I only spoke to Jacinth and Lyra but Jared didn't want to hear anything about me so he didn't pick my calls or even send any message. Even when Kiishi and Kiiti tried talking to him about it, he stopped them, I felt extremely bad. "Kiisha," Kiiti shouted and jumped on me immediately I entered the room. "Kiiti," I greeted and Kiishi joined in the hug, we had a group hug before I dropped my stuffs in the wardrobe. "This one tha

KIISHA It's been a week now and Jared has been avoiding me, I'd tried talking to him but he pretended like someone that doesn't know me and it was really hurting and seriously annoying. He was very free with the others just like before and I was the only person his memory deleted, though we do eat on the same table but he derived pleasure in avoiding me and talking to others. We were leaving for Lagos State later in the evening, tomorrow being the interswitchSPAK Masterclass, our school wanted us to leave this evening and Lodge in the hotel to avoid lateness tomorrow. "Won't you pack your stuffs?" Kiiti queried as she jumped on my bed, Kiishi was on her bed reading a novel. "I'm not packing anything, we'll be back later tomorrow," I r

Third person POV It took almost a year before Toriola finally came back to life, it had been like a dream that day. Lanre had been sleeping beside Toriola's comatose body then until he felt a cold hand on his, it was after he got pinched twice that he opened his eyes only to see his wife staring at him. He couldn't contain his joy that day as he jumped to his feet in surprise before ringing the doctor. Two weeks later, she was fully recovered and that was when it all started. "Where is my daughter?" Toriola questioned while carressing her daughter's cheeks, Lanre had come with their daughter alongside the nanny earlier in the day and Toriola's face had lit up. "You're holding her na," Lanre replied with a smile, though he knew Toriola

JARED "This calls for celebration," Idiat shouted with a huge grin. It was a Monday evening, our teacher had just left the clubs room and my friends gathered on my seat as if they'd planned it, later Kiisha joined. "It's everything that  calls for celebration to you," Kiisha alleged and Idiat rolled her eyes. "Whatever, now that our Senior Prefects Girl and Boy are back together, our ideal couple at that, so, don't we need to celebrate, guys?" Idiat shouted again and Kiisha shook her head gently. "I agree, we need to," Joshua raised his palm and others nodded in agreement. "So, what are we eating?" Yimika queried

KIISHA We left the Ikeja City Mall later in the afternoon to the hotel for our things since we were going back to school, it was Sunday already so we had to leave. Main reason we didn't leave yesterday was because of the innovation challenge, we were to discuss, research and do all other stuffs with our team mates. According to our scores in the written exam, we were all paired into nine groups named after the nine planets. I was in Team Mercury alongside Jared, Felix and six students from others schools whom I couldn't immediately  register their names. Joshua and Yimika were in Team Venus, Demolu, Idiat and Dariya were in Team Earth and that stupid Sharon was in the last team, Team Pluto. The first three teams were given the same topic, 'Looking at the entire Agricultural value, identi

KIISHA "Why did you grab me like that?" I shouted at Jared, who was yet to release the grabbed  hand. "Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you," he said with a lingering smile and I hit his chest with my books. "Why were you afraid?" he chuckled and I eyed him before walking away. "Are you angry?" he asked behind me and I quickened my pace, he followed suit while laughing foolishly. "I was just playing nau," he whined and I turned to him. "What kind of foolish play was that?" "Okay, I'm sorry," he apologized and I rolled my eyes before walking away.

Chapter fifty

JARED Being the only one at home, I decided to go to the pool. Jacinth had gone out with her boyfriend and they were preparing for their one year National Youth Service, Mom and Dad on the other hand had decided to go for a vacation in Florida, ever since I got back from school, I noticed Dad had changed, only the heaven knows what had happened to him but he's been trying to be the best Dad and Father. They left for Florida two days ago and won't be back until Friday, whereas I'll be going back to school on Friday due to the interswitchSPAK competition so, we won't really have family time. "So, you're here," I heard Kiisha say as she threw a stone into the water before sitting by the poolside. I got out of the pool and picked a towel
