No one could sit still and hold back their excitement when the thought of such a large fortune was floating in their mind.

Despite his excitement, Yahiko suddenly sighed and lamented, “I wonder what has happened to Jiro. How can a living human being disappear into thin air just like that?”

Equally puzzled, Hiroshi said, “Jiro-san came to see Nanako-san before the finals and said that he would watch her compete. He seemed to look forward to presenting her with the award after the finals…”

“Good.” Yahiko nodded. “Make sure you bring the best expert in the world. I don’t mind spending my fortune on it!”

Hiroshi asked again, “What about Yamamoto-san? The doctors in Tokyo can’t do anything about his injuries. Should we bring in specialists from America to take a look at him?”

Yahiko waved his hand in disdain. “Forget it. He is nothing more than a cripple now. It’s not worth putting so much effort into him. If he had some real ability, Nanako wouldn’t be so badly injured!”

Hiroshi quickly stated, “Actually, we can’t blame Yamamoto-san for this matter. It’s mainly because Nanako-san’s opponent’s coach was simply too powerful…”

“Powerful?” Yahiko snorted and said contemptuously, “Tanaka, you may have some kind of misunderstanding about the word powerful. Let me tell you, the truly powerful skill is not karate or any of those martial arts, but it’s Japanese Ninjutsu and Onmyoji. Those are the real extraordinary powers. Yamamoto’s karate is just some lame and unpractical skills of the ordinary people!”

Hiroshi gasped in surprise and asked, “Do Ninjutsu and Onmyoji really exist?”

Yahiko said flatly, “Ninjutsu and Onmyoji are both national martial arts of great Japan, especially Ninjutsu. Even westerners are mesmerized by the skills, so how can you, as a Japanese, question them?”

Hiroshi answered awkwardly, “To be honest, I’ve been to Iga City, the hometown of Ninjutsu, a few times. I have seen a few Ninjutsu performances there, but I always felt that it is a bit like a combination of acrobatics and magic with little practical significance.”

Yahiko grinned and said with a hint of sarcasm, “You are the typical frog in the well. Let me tell you... like what is said in the legends, the real Ninjutsu is very rare and powerful. There are very few real Ninjutsu masters nowadays, though, and most of them are carefully worshipped by the top families in the country. These masters are like nuclear weapons, and none of these families will expose them on their own accord!”

Then, he sneered and added, “Some time ago, the sixth leader of the Yakuza died inexplicably in his own heavily guarded hot spring resort in Hokkaido. Do you know about it?”

Hiroshi immediately nodded. “Almost everyone in Japan knows about this incident. It was reported on the news that he died of a brain hemorrhage.”

“Brain hemorrhage?” Yahiko snorted. “Nah, it’s fake news from the public. In reality, he died at the hands of a Ninjutsu master!”
