Chapter 12

"Miss, Miss Lewis, I miss my mama. I want to go back home early."

Bella got up from the ground, looking helpless. Her big eyes were filled with tears.

Miss Lewis had heavy makeup on and was dressed in sexy clothing. She did not look the part of a preschool teacher at all.

She picked at one of her long red fingernails as she sneered scornfully, "Ha. Your mother’s a cheapskate. She doesn't give us any money or gifts during the holidays."

"Look at Joey and the others. Which one of them doesn’t give the teachers any money or gifts? That’s what I call respecting your teachers. After you go back home, Bella, tell your mother what I said, OK?”

A fat middle-aged kindergarten teacher standing nearby also interrupted the conversation. She squinted at Bella and said, "Remember what Miss Lewis and Miss Wallace have said. Tell your mother about it when you reach home or Miss Wallace will lock you in the dark room."

"No! I... I don't want to be locked inside the dark room..."

Bella was so scared that she began trembling all over. Consequently, She held the baby in her arms tightly as tears ran down her cheek.

Miss Wallace reached out to grab the little doll in her arms before scolding her fiercely.

"Give it to me! The only thing you do every day is hug that old, wretched doll. There must be a lot of germs on it. I can't let you infect the other kids with it!"

"No! Please... Miss Wang, my mother said that my father gave this doll to me. He went to work somewhere far, far away. "

"Sob, he’ll be angry when he comes back if he doesn’t see the doll."

Bella hugged her doll and began to cry.

Miss Wallace said with a disdainful laugh, "Pshaw. You have a father? Maybe your mother doesn't even know who your father is! "

Around her, the other children began to jeer.

Bella cried and yelled. She abruptly started to run toward the gates of the kindergarten.

The two kindergarten teachers were taken aback for a moment, but they rushed to catch up with Bella after coming back to their senses.

Bella was in despair as she cried bitterly.

She was really afraid of being locked up in the dark room as if she had experienced it before. Nevertheless, she didn't dare tell her mother at home about it because her teacher had said that she would be locked inside it every day if she did so.

"Don't run!"

At the gate of the kindergarten, two security guards spread their arms in front of Bella like two eagles hovering over a chick.

However, they had not expected Bella to be so flexible. She was small and quick; she managed to make a break for it by narrowly escaping through one of the elderly guard’s armpits.

Just then, Wendy arrived at the gate of the kindergarten. Seeing her panic-stricken daughter, she exclaimed, "Darling, why are you running?"

"Ah!”

The little girl turned back to look at her mother and did not pay attention to her surroundings. Consequently, she almost fell down to the floor. Fortunately, what happened next was that she sank into a warm embrace.

James grabbed hold of his daughter the moment he saw that she was going to fall down.

"Sir! Thank you for helping me catch that naughty child. Bella was being disobedient!”

Miss Lewis ran out, huffing and panting. She glared at Bella viciously.

Miss Wallace sternly complained to Wendy, "Your child is really naughty. She’s the most disobedient one in school! If this goes on, I will report the matter to the director, and the school won’t accept her next semester."

Wendy was unaware of the truth and could only apologize to Miss Wallace and Miss Lewis who had unhappy expressions on their faces.

Wendy was even thinking about giving Bella a good scolding when they reached home.

At this time, James was not paying any attention to them. He was frozen on the spot as he stared at the little girl in his arms.

He felt a kind of ineffable closeness that made it seem as if his own blood was flowing in Bella’s veins.

The blood of the Murphy family line!

James was elated and excited. He even had the urge to shout at the top of his voice, “I have a daughter!”

He suppressed his excitement and asked in a trembling voice, "Bella?"

Bella blinked her big eyes and looked at James who was crouching in front of her. She asked curiously, "Yes, I am Bella! Who are you?"

James raised his palm to wipe away the tears from the corner of his eyes. He said with a smile, "I am your father!"

"Father?"

Bella was stunned. However, she then began to struggle in James’ arms, attempting to escape. She shouted, "You are not my father! You’re lying to me, you bad man! Mama said that my father went far, far away. She also told me that I wouldn’t be able to find him until I grew up."

"Do you want to take my doll away from me too? Sob, don't lock me in the dark room... Sob, I was wrong, I won't run away anymore... Don't lock me in the dark room..."

How dare the sh*tty preschool lock his daughter in a dark room!

Qin Yu's eyes narrowed. He was furious.

Miss Lewis’ snake-like face took on a shifty expression.

At the same time, Miss Wallace screamed, "Bella has no father. You must be a liar!"

However, as soon as they finished speaking, both of them fell to the ground with a howl.

Both had been inflicted with bruises; their cheeks were now red and swollen. Additionally, palm prints could be seen on their faces.

Everything happened in the in blink of an eye and none of them were able to see anything by the time James had slapped them, who were irresponsible preschool teachers, in the face.

Additionally, James had picked up Bella. He said in a soft voice, "Darling, don’t be afraid. Father is here. From today onward, no one will dare bully you."

Bella burst into tears. She turned to ask Summer while crying, "Mama, is he really my father?"

Summer nodded hard with tears in her eyes.

So her daughter had suffered a lot in preschool, Summer thought. She felt as if a knife had gone through her heart.

Bella quickly turned around, and her eyes met James’ for a long time. Then, the suspicion in her eyes finally disappeared, and it was replaced by excitement and happiness.

"Father!”

Bella buried her small head in James’ arms, and tears welled up in James’ eyes. Her expression of happiness made everyone’s hearts melt.
