If. I'm a vampire and if I could not use my skills to save a woman from certain frostbite, I would chain me up tomorrow against a wall and die of thirst can be so !

"Good, you call the police and keep me informed. I'm going to look for the woman. ”

“ Isles! Isles, no. Wait. ”Again he held my upper arm, but this time the pressure around it was stronger and more urgent. “You cannot go out alone. You don't know what mental state the woman is in. ”

Mental state? Well, yes, if you voluntarily went for a stroll outside naked, you couldn't have all the cups in the cupboard. "I know. But if I just leave her outside to die, then I'll have to live with it and blame you for it. ”

Njal looked at me, shaken. Yes, it was probably a little too harsh, he just worried. Unfortunately, to the wrong person, because I could take care of myself, whether he believed it or not. “Don't worry, I'll take care of myself. I've always managed by myself so far. ”I tried to comfort him, but it only seemed to make things worse.

Now I was finally allowed to turn away completely and hurried into the kitchen to get my coat. As soon as I had wrapped myself up and had the hood on, I was walking through the back exit, which was also Njal's entrance to his apartment, when I heard my name again.

“Isles! Wait a minute. ”Annoyed, I turned to Njal, who was walking behind me with a scarf. Right. I had never bought a scarf afterwards. Actually, I almost had a phobia of scarves, because mine was hanging over the neck of my murderer, who was also my creator. "Please put on your scarf. It's really very cold today. ”

Actually, I wanted to say no. I should even say no, because my entire body stiffened against the idea of coming so close to a scarf again. A scarf that was supposed to be a protection from the cold. A protection against the dangerous teeth of a monster. Still, I stopped, frozen, and waited for Njal to undo the top button of my jacket and wrap the scarf around my neck. Carefully, so that it lay protectively around my neck, he pulled it tight and closed the jacket, which was now a little too tight around my chest, again.

"Forgive me if you thought I wasn't taking you seriously." He admitted and straightened my hood. “But it's important to me that nothing happens to you, okay? You mean a lot to me, I couldn't stand it if something happened to you. ”

Mean ... him? What? Did he mean his words seriously? Did he see more in me than just a friend, or cash help? I hadn't been aware of that before. Was that why he hired me? Hoping to get closer to me

I felt maddened and turned away. “I don't need your pity. I have more important things to do! ”My words were almost a growl, which luckily he didn't notice. At least I really hoped so.

Trudging through the snow and at the same time happy that I had swapped my half-boots for really solid ones, I disappeared around the corner to look for traces of the woman. Unfortunately, the stormy wind had already blown the snow away a little so that nothing could be seen except my own steps. Damn crap!

On the outside wall I looked for traces, maybe a hair, or some blood, because this woman couldn't possibly have come down the angular wall unharmed. The only thing I found was fur. Probably from a cat that tried to get in when it might have tipped over. Sighing, I let go of the unsuccessful search for clues and walked at a leisurely jogging pace through the ankle-high snow. In search of footprints, or an unconscious body, I looked behind garbage cans and circled snow-covered cars. It had to be somewhere. In her condition, she couldn't possibly have come very far.

I systematically searched the dark, snow-covered streets, circled every car and looked behind every container, every wall, and speculated on the fences to find a sign. Unsuccessful. I just couldn't find it. Not even footprints, but what normal person was walking around in a storm at three o'clock in the morning?

The wind lashed ice cold around my exposed face, while my legs slowly found it harder and harder to wait through the rising snow. My blood circulation in my legs slowly seemed to no longer want to go along with the tormenting around here and my throat craving for my liquid, red drug. Sighing, I gave up. Maybe I missed her, or ... someone else found her?

As if on cue, I felt a vibration on my hip. Shivering, I unzipped my jacket pocket and put my cell phone to my ear. “Njal?”

“Isles? Where are you? The police were just here, come back. ”

“ Have you found them yet? ”

There was a short silence. "No." He admitted. “But they said it was too cold for you to look for her. If it's really true that she's wandering around outside, you won't find her that way. They are now using dogs and have their tracks through the clothing they have worn. Please come back. ”

A nagging sting in my throat, Njal agreed to instructions. Damn cold. "I'm going home, I need a hot bath." I said instead. “If the police need anything, give them my number and address. I like to answer questions. ”

“ Okay, but ... ”

“ Njal! ”I interrupted him. "I go home. Good night. ”As in the past, most of the guests were probably gone. He managed the rest by himself, if not he should put it on my bill. At least now I didn't have the nerve to worry about a bloody bar when something inside of me was hotter than hell burned.

Thirst for blood had its pitfalls. He came suddenly and asked for immediate breastfeeding. Because of the woman, I had wasted a lot of energy on the cold, as my body could not keep itself warm and my limbs quickly became stiff. So as soon as my thirst for blood hit, I have to stop it so as not to experience a kind of "food cravings" in every person.

With quick steps, I ran down the street to my house and locked myself in it. In the basement, I got a bottle of blood and put it in the microwave while I took a hot bath.

When I got back it was already warmed up and I took it into the bathtub while I snuggled into the foamy warmth. Yes, being a vampire also had major disadvantages. If you got cold you had to act quickly, otherwise you wanted the sweet body heat of fresh blood straight from a vein. At first it was difficult for me to find a real symbiosis between myself, as a human being, and my vampiric desires. Today at least it wasn't a problem anymore.

The sudden ringing of my doorbell made me wince, startled. Was that the police? At this time?

Vampire Empire   Let you bite me

"I'll post it immediately on my non-existent Facebook page," I replied. I had no reason to tell anyone about it. I basically didn't talk to people and I would certainly not rub another vampire's nose under the fact that I knew where a real feast was. Blood elf blood tasted better than any human's, and it made us stronger and more powerful. That was one of the reasons why there were no more blood elves. Well, almost none. We had hunted for centuries, even though technically they were related to us. All the more astonishing that I was sitting next to a living specimen of this species and that it did not hate me. “Your parents are blood elves too, aren't they? That's why your mother has something against me. Does she know that you will meet me today? ”I wanted to know from her. I sighed. "I didn't tell her, but she can imagine." I just made sense of his expression. I suddenly had a coughing fit and small drop

My cell phone woke me up again. "When?" was Max's question. "Sunset, top of the village." The top of the village was the end of our city, where the Inn, Ilz and Danube met. So roughly. The delicious smell of lasagna entered my nose. My mother knew I would kill for it! I ran downstairs. My father was sitting at the laptop as always. "Hey dad." I mumbled and sat down. He looked at me worried. "You gave us a real scare!" Ouch! Now I felt guilty! As always, the lasagna was delicious. In the afternoon I tried hard to concentrate on the subjects for the next week, but I couldn't.1. Was my head still aching,2. I was sick from the blood and3. I had to think about how I would teach Max that with me. Damn it, that vampire ruined my life! I threw my things off the table. My mother warned me! Never get involved with a vampire. In the afternoon I drove into town, I just had to distract myself! But whe

My throat was burning like crazy. My body felt heavy as lead.My head ached as if someone had pounded it with a jackhammer.I tried to open my eyes."Diana, admit it, you have to come to yourself completely first!" I heard my mother's soft voice say."How did you know Andre found me?" I mumbled hotter."Maternal instinct." she said.I tried to smile, which was fucking painful."Maternal instinct I don't laugh." I mumbled. Now I opened my eyes. The sunlight burned my eyes.I got up slowly. My blood spilled over onto my dessert, where there was an empty blood bag."Mummy!" I exclaimed in horror."I'm sorry dear, but you overexerted yourself. Your father and I thought it would be better."I felt sick realizing that I had drunk a whole bag of human blood.Tears welled up in my eyes."Shit my little one." she took me in her arms."I know how disgusting you find this, but

Max had hit a sore point in the hunters. They wanted to remain a secret at all costs. But Max's argument was not very convincing. There wasn't a soul to be seen on the square or around it."Diana, could you please tell your friend that I will kill him if he keeps preventing me from getting you." said Andre with a malicious grin. This guy was still the same asshole he was back in Venice. Back then, my parents saved me from him. But now I was on my own. That Max was with me didn't count, he was a vampire and only thought of himself, not of others.I wanted to walk past Max, but he stopped me."Are you crazy?" he growled.Wasn't he serious? He couldn't possibly want to protect me."Max let me, it's better that way.""He's going to kill you!"I shook my head."He won't do anything to me. The Vatican only catches people like me, it doesn't kill them."The hunters were an organization of fanatics, the rest of the church knew n

I looked at him startled."The ..."I suddenly felt hot."Crap." I mumbled and looked around. All the audience stared at the screen. Except for one. When our eyes met he started to grin.A hunter. Damn!"I have to get out of here now!" I got no more than a whisper. I was paralyzed with fear. I looked pleadingly at Max. I saw the sudden panic in her eyes and looked for the reason for it. When I looked around, I immediately saw the guy three rows behind us. He wore a sneaky grin that every vampire had to envy him for, even though he was clearly human. I suppressed the impulse to growl at him but took Diana by the hand and led her out of the cinema and out into the foyer. With the other hand I made a not entirely adult gesture in the direction of the man, which he probably didn't understand because it was no longer in use these days.

Diana, where do you want to go at this time?"Damn. I had that I didn't run into my mother anymore today."Cinema with Anna." I called."How long will you be away?""Don't know yet, it can be late." I put on my black ankle boots and my black knee-length coat."You have your cell phone with you, don't you?" My mother poked her head out the door."Yes!" I said annoyed, then I left the house. The city buses went on until late at night, so I had no problem getting home.I sat in the back. The bus was completely empty. I kept tapping my foot. Was I a little excited? Nonsense, I've met a lot of vampires, why should I still be excited? When I got off at the central bus station, I saw him immediately. His green eyes couldn't be overlooked either. He was standing in front of the glass entrance to the Cineplex, which was underground in our city. I went up to him. The cool night wind tousled my hair and my skirt fluttered around my

"That wolf ... He was so big!" Njal suddenly stood stark naked behind me and took off his clothes. He didn't even notice that he had startled me."Wolf?" I asked confused."The white one.""It must have been on a hill or something." I quickly dismissed this thought. Njal shru

I stayed hidden in Njal's apartment for two days before heading to my house. It was still written in my name and Njal had continued to pay off the installments, but from the inheritance he had received from his mother. It wasn’t much, but so far, along with his own earnings, i
