Chapter Ten

Jake's POV:

I saw her sleeping in my arms peacefully and I never wanted this moment to end. I had no idea she had gone through so much. All I could think of was to protect her first. I lay her down on her bed and sat next to her. She was so innocent and beautiful. I kissed her forehead and took my phone already knowing what I had to do.

I decided to hire a PI to investigate about this Alex guy and also a bodyguard for her without her knowledge. I didn't want her to freak out or feel any different. James, my dad's PI was the guy perfect to investigate about Alex. He knows to dig deep and find out enough to ruin this guy for good. Once that was done, I sighed in relief. I laid down next to her and started to stroke her hair. I can't believe I'm feeling so much for her. I have been in a relationship during high school before but I didn't feel anywhere close as to what I'm feeling with her. At first, I thought it was just attraction and it would go away but every time I kissed her I craved more of her. I couldn't get enough of her and I couldn't stop thinking about her. I felt her stir and I immediately took my hand away letting her sleep peacefully.

The next morning I woke up to find her missing from the bed. I panicked and ran out of the room to find her making coffee shop in the kitchen. God!! I was acting crazy. I sighed and hugged her from behind kissing the crook of her neck. I loved kissing her neck. She giggled, which was my favorite sound from now.

"Good morning, sleepyhead." She turned and wrapped her arms around my neck. I lifted her and made her sit on the counter.

I couldn't resist her. I wanted to wake up to this every morning. Man, how did I get so lucky? I pulled her close to me and she immediately responded by wrapping her legs around my waist and I took her lips between mine and it was pure Bliss. I loved the way she reacted to my touch every single time. I was already turned on and I knew she felt my dick poking her. God! One-touch from her and I was acting like a sex-starved teenager. She increased the intensity of our kiss and started to grind herself against my arousal. I couldn't hold back anymore. I took my hands inside her shirt and started to caress her breasts and God, they were so soft. She moaned in pleasure and I got excited with the way she responded to my touch. Just as I was about to remove her top, We heard the doorbell go off. I immediately saw panic in her eyes and it killed me to see her like that.

"Hey hey...it's okay... I'll go see. It's probably no one." I went to open the door and she was close behind me. It was some girl I haven't seen before. I saw Ashely relax and went to hug that girl.

"Jake this is Emma, my best friend." She smiled widely.

"Emma, Jake my..." She dragged, not sure what to say and I chipped in.

"Boyfriend, nice to meet you, Emma. I've heard a lot about you." I smiled at her and her eyes were gleaming with delight.

"Me too." She chirped and looked at Ashley mouthing the words 'Oh my god' when she thought I wasn't looking which made me smile.

"Sit down. I'll make you guys breakfast," I watched her go into the kitchen while I sat on the couch with Emma in an awkward silence.

"So I have heard you are famous and stuff. How does it feel to hang out with people like us?" she blurted and I was taken back with that question and a bit surprised at the straightforwardness.

"Em, stop it." I saw Ashley giving a death glare to her friend and chuckled.

"I'm loving every second of it," I replied looking at Ashley and she blushed.

"If you hurt my friend in any way. I'll kill you and throw your bones to the dogs," she said in a low threatening voice.

"Understood ma'am," It was nice to see her looking out for Ash. We had a nice breakfast which consists of pancakes and eggs. Delicious just like her. I decided to head out, giving them some space and promised her I'll be back to take her to her classes. The bodyguard I hired was already doing his job secretly.

"See you later babe," I pulled her in for a kiss and she tried to keep it short because of her friend and I grinned at her shyness.

"Bye," she smiled and closed the door.

I headed to my house to refresh up and thankfully I had only one class that day. I was already looking forward to seeing her. After my class, my dad called me asking about James and why I hired him. Dammit, James, and his loyalty.

"There is this girl dad. I've been seeing her for a while now and she is sort of in a trouble. I'll tell you everything when we meet." I rushed hoping he would leave it.

"A girl? Well, this is new. Who is this mysterious girl? Are you serious about this one?" My dad sounded surprised.

"Yeah dad, of course." I rolled my eyes as he knew I never get serious about any girl.

"Bring her to the art show. I would like to meet this woman that has my son's interest." I could imagine him grinning ear to ear. He always wanted me to settle down and thought it would never happen. Even I thought it wouldn't happen but this girl has my heart on a string.

"Sure, I got to go. Take care dad, bye." I smiled and ended the call.

I was excited for her to meet my dad. I wanted the world to know that she is my girl but I didn't want to scare her. What if it was too soon? I know she wants to take things slow. It was killing me but I respected her choices and she was already worrying about that asshole. I wanted to kill him with my bare hands for ruining her peace of mind. I sighed and got in my car, driving to her place.
