CHAPTER 17: FINALLY GOT THE CURE!

They entered the experiment room and locked the door, so that the zombies may not disturb them while finding the cure...

The old man gets the blood samples from different people. He doesn't remember where's Adam's blood in the test tubes. The testing takes an hour, sadly none of the test tubes containing bloods matched to what he's talking about.

The old man looks frustrated because he didn't expect that he lost other test tubes while running, it might fell somewhere.

Dad? What's wrong? You looked so stressed. What happened? Andre asked his dad.

Look at the monitor son, Adam and Hannah! The virus sample easily spread and the blood samples inserted didn't work it easily get infected, the old man said.

Is my blood sample there? Adam asked the old man curiously.

I am not sure boy. There's a possibility that I lost your blood samples, yours and Hannah's blood sample, the old man answered.

There's no problem with that. We are going to allow you get blood samples again. In fact, we are here you can get if you wanted to, Adam replied.

Yes! I agree! If this is the only way to save all of them, then we will give anything needed for the cure, Hannah said.

The old man and his son finally got 2 bags of blood samples. So, they inserted it to glass plate of virus separately.

Upon observing, the Hannah's blood samples fought the viruses successfully, it spread out immediately and ate the viruses.

When they saw the other one containing Adam's blood samples it works faster than Hannah's blood samples. By this, they were all amazed.

This might be the cure we are looking for, the old man said.

Now that we have the possible cure, how can we use it? Andre asked.

We have to separate the blood plasma from the blood, that will be injected to all infected, the old man said. But before we inject it to them, we have to test this to one of the zombies out there, he pointed.

OMG! How can we get one of them? Hannah said.

I have an idea. I'll get one, Adam said. You see that one near the door? I'll get her. She looked weak than others, he added. But I need one to support me and help me getting her outside, he said.

I'll go with you Adam, Hannah presented.

Adam and Hannah tried to get the weakest one while Andre and his dad prepared the plasma in bottles.

They got the said zombie easily when Adam opened the door, the zombie laid down to the floor and they caught it. Adam locked the door when they got the zombie and transferred it to the experiment room. They hold it tight and they entered the experiment room.

When Hannah and Adam together with the sample zombie entered, Andre locked the door for their safety.

They laid down the zombie to the bed and the old man injected the cure. After 5 minutes, the zombie experienced seizures and luckily get cured.

Unexpectedly, when the zombie's look gets back to normal, Andre and the old man cried out loud.

Hey! Why are you crying? Is there anything wrong? Is that tears of joy because we finally have the cure? They cut their words for a while.

Or maybe something else that made you both cry? They continued.

Until, the woman hugged the old man and Andre. Thank God daddy, son! You're alive! I am happy you're here. I love you both. She hugged them tight.

Wow! That woman is Andre's mom? the old man's wife? they both looked at each other with the same thing on their minds.

Guys! We prepared the blood plasma here, Andre holding the big black back pack. I don't know if this is enough. Here, get it, he added. He gave the bag to Adam and Hannah. I hope it will help the other zombies get back to the normal looks, he continued.

Thank you for helping us find the cure. Without your blood plasma I will not be able to get the cure. Thank you for everything you have done for us. You two are very kind and generous persons, the old man said.

Who are they? His wife asked the old man curiously and pointed her finger to Adam and Hannah.

I will introduce them to you darling. That beautiful lady is Hannah, the handsome guy with her is Adam. They are the one who had the antibodies that can fight for the viruses flowing into your veins. You are one of the zombies they have saved, the old man introduced the two to her lovely wife.

Gertrude walked towards Adam and Hannah and she hugged them both. "Thank you for saving my life, not just mine but soon the zombies inside this laboratory." She whispered and shed tears. "Thank you for helping my husband in finding the cure for us." She said with sincere tone. You are a brave couple, she added.

Gertrude holds Hannah's hand as well as Adam's hand, she put them together. You're too young but you have the heart to help even the people you don't know. I know you are not residents here but still you helped us, Gertrude uttered gladly and thank them with all of her heart.

Darling, they are really good persons. They sacrificed their lives for all of the zombies here. I'm sure that their parents will be proud of them if they will know what these two have done to save a lot of people in this town, Emerson told her wife uttering words to praise Adam and Hannah.

They looked at each other and smiled at Gertrude and Emerson.

Dad is right mom, they are genius too like dad, right dad? Andre gave compliment.

Yes son! They are. In fact, I might not get the cure without these two genius and kind-hearted people in front of you darling, the old man admired them.

It's an honor to work to the Genius Scientist in this town, they both said in a compliment way.

Please excuse us for a while. We need to help the other people in this lab, Hannah told them.

I think we should go and inject this cure to other zombies I locked on the biggest room, Adam said.

Here is the bag containing the cure Adam, you should wear this so no one can get this easily. I know this is a back pack but I suggest to wear this in front of you instead of wearing it in your back.

Adam wears the back pack and they went to the opposite room.
