Chapter 7 A Marriage Certificate?

"Well, that's nice. Who do you have at home?" The Old Madam took an immediate fancy to Ginny. She was not bothered by Ginny's family or her background, as she did not find it important. First of all, her granddaughter-in-law had to have good conduct and moral values. Family was secondary.

The most important point was that Juan liked her. Otherwise, he would not have brought her home.

"An uncle, an auntie, and a sister," Ginny replied, with some sorrow in her eyes. "Are they considered my family?"

After hearing that from Ginny, the Old Madam couldn't help frowning. She was a bit concerned, but a second later, she smiled. "No problem. Then, we shall be your family from now on. Leanna, ask Juan to come here. Tell him to go to the Youngs and ask for Ginny's hand."

The second that Old Madam gave her instructions, both Leanna and Ginny were taken aback by her sudden order.

"Granny? Ask for my hand?" Ginny was shocked. She had only just met Granny and was suddenly told all of this.

"Granny, this..." For Leanna, this was also a bolt out of the blue. She had not expected that the Old Madam would be so impatient and hasty about this matter.

Old Madam smiled kindly, Her eyes lightly creased into a crescent moon. She gently held Ginny's hand and led her to the sofa to sit. She said assuringly, "Don't worry. I will get Juan to be responsible for you. No one will bully you in the future, and he will definitely take good care of you."

"Granny?" Juan had emerged from the study after his meeting. The moment he stepped out of his room, he had heard what Granny said and was perturbed by it. His brows knitted into a tight knot.

At the sound of Juan's voice, Ginny stood up in a fluster. She quickly turned and faced the approaching man. It was only now that she managed to look at him properly. He was tall and very well-built. His height and physique added to his imposing presence and also revealed some subtle authoritative traits.

The black T-shirt that he was wearing further portrayed a cool, but handsome man.

Gazing at this man, Ginny was slightly fearful. She did not dare to look straight into his eyes. Her eyes just darted past him and fluttered away.

"You've come at just the right time, Juan. Take Ginny to her home today and ask for her hand from her family. At the same time, go and get your marriage certificate done." Leanna, who had been standing behind Granny, was stunned. "How could Granny make such a hasty decision? That will not do."

In her rush, Leanna had forgotten her status in the family. She blurted out, "Granny, this... is too hasty, isn't it? After all, Master and this young lady are not fully acquainted and have not known each other for long."

"Don't you youngsters like to have flash weddings? First, get married. Then, fall in love. Yes, that's right. Anyway, I like this girl very much, and Juan is so well-built. He needs a small, delicate person beside him so that he can learn how to love and dote on her." Having reaffirmed her thoughts, the Old Madam was even more satisfied with Ginny. Without the need to understand Ginny's family and just by looking at her crystal-clear eyes, Granny had already taken a strong liking to her. For a person to possess such innocent and pure eyes, her character had to be good.

Also, fate is a strange thing. For no other reason, Old Madam simply liked Ginny tremendously the moment she set her eyes on her.

Juan's forehead creased into deeper lines. He looked at Ginny, pursed his lips lightly, and fell into deep thought.

On the other hand, Ginny immediately panicked and said, "Granny, no... I... we..." She did not even know him or this Granny, yet they were discussing marriage?!

Furthermore, after what had happened that night, she was no longer pure. How could she ever get married?

With these thoughts racing through her mind, Ginny lowered her head. Her eyes reddened and her body shivered.

"I understand." Juan suddenly broke his silence.

Old Madam was instantly delighted. She smiled gleefully. "Oh good, that's great... Then, both of you can start your preparations. Leanna, let's go home." Having said that, Granny prepared to leave with Leanna in tow. It was a good opportunity for the couple to spend some time together, and she did not want anyone to be the third wheel in their lives.

Though Leanna wore a smile on her face, her mind was in a turmoil. As she held on to Old Madam, her hand unconsciously exerted more force. She clenched her teeth together and swallowed her growing emotions.

After Old Madam left, Ginny then recovered her senses. She stood in the same spot and stared uneasily at the man in front of her. She stuttered, "That..."

At this moment, Juan saw that she was barefoot, and it suddenly stirred his emotions. His eyes darkened, and when he thought of what happened last night, he was instantly mad.

He did not like this weird reaction in him.

He stepped forward and carried Ginny up in a single swooping action.

"Ah..." Ginny screamed. She immediately stretched her hands out and embraced Juan, afraid of falling.

"Put me down, put me down..." Ginny squirmed in fear. She did not know what Juan was up to.

She also did not understand the consequences of doing that. She only heard the man mutter coldly.

"Don't move!"

For no reason, Ginny was instantly petrified by his voice. She immediately hugged his neck meekly and was too intimidated to move anymore.

In his arms, they soon reached the bedroom in a few steps. Right after, her body was lowered and thrown onto the bed.
