Chapter 8 Who Sent You?

Ginny started to feel very uneasy, and her eyes reddened. "What is he going to do?"

Sensing Ginny's guarded stance, Juan was instantly burdened with guilt. He felt like he was a despicable beast, devouring its prey too soon.

At this moment, Juan suddenly smirked, and a thought flashed past.

"Who sent you to get close to me?" Juan pressed his body against hers and cupped her chin, restraining her movements.

Juan's voice was like a baritone's, mesmerizing and captivating everyone when he spoke. It was exceptionally smooth and calming.

Ginny was a little taken aback by his question. She uttered dumbfoundedly, "No... I, I don't know you..."

She really did not know him! "Who on earth would have sent me to get near you?"

Observing Ginny's reactions through her eyes, Juan was momentarily confused. She had spoken the truth. No one had instructed her to get close to him. But, was this matter so simple? He had met with that incident the same day he returned home. Could it have been so coincidental?

Ginny's identity was also too coincidental.

But, he was not someone who could trust another easily. He paused for a while and then straightened himself up. He continued, "Let me take you home."

Ginny heaved a sigh of relief upon hearing that from Juan. But, soon after, she started to get worried.

She knew instantly what she would be subjected to when she reached home.

A minute later, a maid appeared with her clothes. Ginny took them and her shoes, and went to change in the bathroom. When she was done, she stepped out timidly and followed Juan down the stairs.

It was only now that Ginny had the opportunity to look at the villa in detail. The decorations were opulent, and the carpet beneath her feet was luxurious. It was no wonder that she did not feel cold when she had run around barefoot before.

There were four servants standing in the hallway, who bade them farewell respectfully.

Ginny followed Juan out of the villa. When she saw the view outside, she was stunned. It was huge!

The garden was entirely in European style. Next to the fountain was a black sedan. Although Ginny could not recognize the brand of the car, she knew that the average man on the street would not be able to afford it.

Juan swiftly took the driver's seat, while Ginny stood by the car, unsure if she should take the seat next to him or behind him. Suddenly, the passenger seat door swung open.

Ginny stepped into the car. In that claustrophobic environment, Ginny quickly tensed up, but she just stared straight ahead and did not dare to look at Juan.

For unexplainable reasons, she was just terrified of him.

Juan started the car and took a quick glance at Ginny. As he inched closer to her, her eyes widened instantly in fear. She stared unblinkingly at Juan and held her breath.

Sensing her reactions, a hint of disdain flitted past Juan's eyes. He promptly curved his mouth into a sinister smile. When he was done with his hands, he moved back into his seat. He had reverted to his original cool self, and he held on to his steering wheel and drove off.

It was not until this point that Ginny recovered her senses. He had just reached out to buckle her seat belt for her. Her thoughts had run too wild.

As she realized her mistake, her face instantly blushed as red as a beetroot and her head bowed low in embarrassment.

Though Juan was concentrating on his driving, from the corner of his eyes, he had noticed all of Ginny's reactions.

They finally reached the Young's villa. Although they were both villas, there was still a vast difference between the Young's villa and Juan's villa. One was mediocre, while the other was heaven.

"Thank you." When Ginny saw that she had reached home, an instant wave of panic hit her. She quickly said her thanks and hastily tried to get out of the car, but was held back by her seat belt.

She bent her head nervously and struggled to unbuckle her seat belt, but could not find the release button.

Seeing Ginny in a panic, Juan bent over and reached for the button. Their hands accidentally touched.

Ginny jolted back as if an electrical shock had just struck her. She quickly opened the car door and left. The instant she got out of the car, she seemed to have recalled something. She promptly turned around to face Juan, and with a 90-degree bow, she uttered her thanks profusely.

She was very grateful to Juan. If not for his help that night, she would not have known how to handle the problem. She also knew that with her identity and if the media had made a fanfare out of it, her dead parents would also not be spared from the ridicule.

Juan remained silent as he watched Ginny's reactions. He watched as she closed the car door and walked away slowly.

As Ginny approached the villa, she grew more terrified. Her legs seemed to weigh a tonne, and she could not muster up enough courage to enter the house. When she saw the stone steps beside the entrance, she walked toward them unhesitatingly and sat down instead.

The sky slowly darkened, and she continued hugging her knees and sitting on the steps. With the sun setting, it started to get chilly. Ginny did not take note of the time that she had spent sitting outside, and her body had begun to stiffen.

She was still afraid to enter.

At the far end, Juan was watching all these things in his car. Though his face was grim and his fingers drummed on the steering wheel impatiently, his emotions were not obvious.

After some time, he was not able to bear it any longer. He got out of his car and went straight for Ginny.

"You are not going in?" Juan raised his eyebrows, clearly unhappy.

He grabbed her by the wrist and realized that it was ice cold.

"Damn it! How long is she going to sit here? Doesn't she know that she will get sick?"
