CHAPTER TWO

After selling the breadfruits, I counted my money happily before heading home.

At least I'll be save from my step mom's brutal treatments.

As I jump happily on my way home, my money which I counted and put in my bag was snatched from me as the thief drive away in his motorcycle.

I was dumbfounded, I couldn't move.

I sit down in the middle of the road wailing.

After suffering to make some money, it was stolen by someone else, still I'll be announced a thief by my stepmother.

How I wish I was a little bit more careful.

What punishment will my step mom give me today?

I roll from one side of the road to another urging the drivers to kill me with their various motors.

"Kill me, I wanna die!" I yelled.

A lady with the same age of mine step down from her car and walk towards me.

She stare at me for a while and signal her guards to raise me up.

What caught my attention was that the crowd bowed to her when they notice her.

Who could this be?

We were both staring at each other without breaking the stare.

"Why are you laying down on the road, do you want to die?" She yelled at me making me flinch.

I started getting scared of this lady.

I sniff and clean my eyes with the back of my palm.

"S-Sorry Miss, I just don't know what to d-do." I apologized.

She took my hand and dragged me to her car.

"Drive us to a quiet place." she ordered her driver who did as he was told.

EOS HEZEKIAH'S POV

I woke up late because of the caesarian patient I operated on last night.

It took pretty much of my time.

I wore my flip flop and headed downstairs.

"Good morning Master Javiña!" was the words coming from my workers.

"Good morning Eos." Mom greeted while munching breakfast.

I just nodded and went out to my car which I drove to work yesterday to pick the heart record of the lady I'll be operating on today.

After picking it I headed back to my room.

I stop living with my parents when I was still in high school.

I built my mansion when I entered college.

I don't really need people around me.

Yes, I am an introvert guy who loves to be totally alone.

We're just two, my parent gave birth to just two children. 

Me and my sister.

Though my sister lives in America, she hate coming down to Philippines because we're both the same set of people, 'introverts.'

My family is a type of family that everyone wishes to have for cause we're rich, but what they don't know is that the family they are wishing for themselves is a total wreck.

I went to my study and review the heart record for up to ten times before going to take a bath.

After having a bath, I was drove to the hospital by my driver followed by some of my guards.

ELLIE SELENE'S POV

I was on my way home with mix feelings.

Who could that lady be?

She's so cold.

The respect people gave her is so mighty.

I looked at my rag dress and picture the dressing of the lady but there was no connection at all.

Why did she help me?

FLASHBACK

"So you wanted to kill yourself because you got robbed?" She asked arrogantly after I told her my problem.

I kept quiet not knowing what to say.

She gave me a bundle of money before dropping me off a bit far from my house.

What if this woman doesn't believe me?

I went inside the house and luckily, my step mom was not around.

I quickly took a bath and review my schedule before heading to my morning part time job.

On my way, I call up on my friend Lexa.

"Lexa, let's go." I said as she came out fully dress in her low class cloth just like mine.

We trek on and sometimes we run in order to save ourselves from the anger of the cafe manager.

We get to work and put on our work uniform, before going to our different posts.

OLYMPIA'S POV

Why didn't this stupid girl drop my money before going to work?

Is she that stupid?

I'll teach her a lesson when she returns.

Kids like her are meant to be treated this way, who knows she might be cooking up something against me.

I waited patiently for her to come and pick her next work equipment.

I know she'll come back to prepare for another job.

"Ellie, where is my money?!" I asked with anger.

"M-Mom, I—"

"Don't call me Mom, I'm not your dead mother. Now give me my money!" I bark at her.

She gave me an envelope which I unwrapped to see the shock of my life.

"You stole this money?"

"When did you become a thief?"
