Vengeful Spirit

Tian Tian was an especially bright child since her birth, even though she used to see ghosts and talk to them, she was never of those people who were scared of ghosts or supernatural things, like her grandmother's older sister. 

She grew up by hearing the stories of her grandmother's older sister who was the owner of the house of spirits before her for forty years. She had heard that she was so scared of seeing those creatures that she had stopped going out of her house when she was just three years old. All of her studies had been taken care of by private tutors and later she did not continue her studies.

It took a very long time to make her realize her responsibilities and hand over to them. When she was crowned as the Queen many people thought that she won't be able to handle the position and would make wrong decisions, but the owner had the time and again proven that the owner of the spirit house is chosen from birth and they are bound to contribute to it without backing off.

Whereas Tian Tian had been a very bright and cheerful child. This was also one of the reasons that she was made as the Queen as soon as she turned sixteen which was officially the minimum age requirement for being a Queen.

One thing that Tian Tian had learned overall was that if she becomes the topper or if she comes in the list of high ranking student or if she does anything that brings her in the spotlight, it creates problems in her responsibilities as many children's have their eyes on the toppers or rankers along with teachers. In order to avoid that, she started intentionally decreasing her grades and slowly coming in the list of the students who can barely pass. Apart from that she also stopped taking parts in extracurricular activities such as sports, dance, music, etc which were once a consistent part of her life.

This tactic had been proven quite useful as now apart from her best friend and a couple of other friends no one cares about what she does or no one tries to interfere in her life.

While on the one hand, Tian Tian was busy daydreaming, on the other side Gu Shen was trying hard to find out the source of the energy which he was feeling since he had entered this classroom.

Looking around Gu Shen tried to find if there was a spirit nearby many times, but he was unable to see anyone.

'Spirits usually prefer to stay in quiet, calm, or dark places. This is a crowded and highly lighted place. Why would I feel such a stronger force here then? There is no way that any calm spirit can exude such strong energy. This type of energy can only be found in powerful souls. Someone who has either too many powers or someone who has too many grudges. It doesn't seem that there is someone more powerful than myself over here, which leaves only one option. There is a vengeful spirit over here. I have to find it and cage it or destroy it.' Thought Gu Shen while constantly focusing his powers to find the spirit.

Tian Tian was noting down the important questions when she realized, that her bench-mate was not writing. Looking at him she noticed the beads of sweat forming on his forehead.

Quickly passing him a tissue she asked, "Hey, what happened? Why are you sweating soo much?"

As Gu Shen took the tissue from her hands his hand brushed against the finger's of her hand making the source of energy stronger.

Without changing his expression, he took the tissue calmly and wiped his forehead while thanking her.

Worried about the new boy, Tian Tian asked him while being a little concerned, "You sure, you are fine? If you don't mind let me check your body temperature."

Gu Shen was already wondering if there was any way for him to touch her again so he could notice the feeling again. Hearing her suggestion he simply nodded while closing his eyes.

After the new boy nodded, she quickly touched the back of her one hand to his forehead, while she touched the other hand to his forehead. Noticing that his temperature was not abnormal she felt relieved and said, "Probably you were nervous coming to a new class, don't worry everyone is friendly here. Drink some water, also if you don't feel like copying the important questions you can take it from me later on, just relax for today." Saying she started copying the remaining questions.

On the other hand, Gu Shen realized he actually felt a little suffocated in the lift also when she entered, but he did not take that matter too much into consideration.

'Just now when she touched me I actually felt the energy from her.' Thought Gu Shen

Focusing his eyes he tried to see through Tian Tian for a couple of times,  'Why can't I see through her? Who is she? And most importantly how powerful is her spirit that all of my attempts are complete waste in front of her. Most importantly, why do I feel cold all over my body, why is it that as I use my energy on her I feel weak?'

'This is not right, something seems wrong, I will have to speak to dad about it.' Thinking so Gu Shen decided to focus in class.

"Bye-bye Si Tu Mo" bidding goodbye to her friend Tian Tian sat down in her car and decided to go to the spirit house and check the situation over there before going home.

Looking at her watch she realized he had enough time to make up for her dance class as well and instructed the driver, "Uncle, let's go to the garden and then I will go to dance class and then home."

"Yes young miss, the snack packed by Mistress is in the box, you can eat it if you feel hungry." Came the prompt reply from the driver.

Rubbing her stomach which was a little empty she started eating while observing the surroundings.

One of Tian Tian's hobby was to observe her surroundings, she was so engrossed in it that she would not get bored even if she sees the same thing again and again. This was also the reason that she can daydream for around hours in her school.

Just when the car was passing through the forest, Tian Tian felt some kind of energy. Trying to access it she first asked the driver to slow down the car and stop it, if possible, while she tried to close her eyes and find the type of energy she was feeling.
