Sad Energy Near The Lake

Tian Tian closed her eyes and focused all of her powers to classify the energy she was feeling. Though the energy was weak but she was sure it was there.

Opening her eyes Tian Tian murmured, "It's a sad energy. Let's check who it is?"

Getting down from the car Tshe said to the driver, "Uncle, I am just walking around. Please wait for me in the car."

Walking towards the forest which was not dense Tian Tian followed the energy source. Trying to find the exact location she slowly reached a small lake. Looking around it she thought, 'This place looks quite isolated and calm, but I feel the energy quite strongly over here. Where is the spirit?'

Tian Tian started looking around the lake to find out the spirit which was hiding. She circled around the lake, saw around and near the trees but it was of no use. Even after searching for the spirit for almost more than ten minutes when she did not found her, for a second she thought of going back.

Just when she was about to turn back and return she remembered what her grandmother told her, "Each spirit will have only hundred days, exactly from the time their soul left their body to choose their path. If the path is not chosen, there are high chances that the soul might turn into a vengeful soul or most likely might turn into a lost wandering soul who has no existence either in human world nor spirit world."

With her eyes and mind filled with determination, Tian Tian again focused her energy and this time instead of searching she simply called out using her power, "I know you are here. I can sense you. Come ahead, show yourself to me. I will help you to lessen your pain. Tell me what happened to you. Tell me the reason behind your sadness."

"Will you really help me?" Came a sobbing voice from the lake.

Looking at the lake she realized that the spirit was sitting in the deep bottom of the lake.

"Yes, I will help you. Come with me . Come out. Let's go to the spirit house. They all will take care of you. Come out." Said Tian Tian softly while constantly looking at the surface of the lake.

After a few seconds, there were ripples from the water...

Soon, a spirit came out of the water. It was the spirit of a girl.

As soon as the spirit came into her sight, Tian Tian closed her eyes in reflex action, but soon realized that she has to stay calm and opened it naturally as if just blinking.

Usually the spirit resembles the condition of the body when it died. This spirit belonged to a girl who was in her early twenties. The color of her body had turned bluish showing that she was poisoned.

Spirits usually stay at a place where they were killed or died or mostly at the place where there loved ones are there. This spirit was inside at the bottom of the lake showing that she was dead or killed at this very place.

The sight which actually scared Tian Tian was that, the spirit had her head cut off from her body, hence she was actually carrying her head in one of her hands while walking towards her.

Because this was a spirit and not a actual body there was no blood flowing or any other sight that might possibly scare her.

Trying to maintain her mind as calm as she could, Tian Tian mildly nodded towards the spirit and asked her in as gentle tone as possible, "Do you want to tell me, who are you?"

The spirit actually thought that she had encountered another spirit, but looking at the young girl who was a human and was able to see her, startled the spirit.

Pointing towards herself the spirit asked in a surprised tone, "Can you see me? Am I alive?"

Understanding the state of mind that the spirit was in, she tried to smile mildly even though she was a little scared and explained her, "I have some special powers, which allow me to see spirits and talk to them. You can tell me about yourself, probably... I can help you."

The eyes which had brightened after seeing Tian Tian talking and looking at her had, now died down again. The hope that shined in the dark light had vanished and the spirit again sinked deep into her sadness.

In a dejected voice the spirit spoke, "I am Kim Mi So, I worked as a assistant to the magician Hop. It was nice meeting you human."

Saying so the spirit turned back and started walking slowly towards the lake again ready to sink down at the bottom as she was earlier.

Tian Tian had only heard about dealing with spirits, this was her first time doing it all alone without anyone's help. Though she was determined about helping the spirit but she can not force her as well.

She thought of giving it a one last try and said,

"The water is cold over there, you can come with me and stay at the spirit house. There, the staff will help you recover and make you happy as well."

Standing still at the place where she was, the spirit smirked and said, "What difference will it make? I am already dead."

"You never know till you try it. Let's go. This might be your last chance." Said Tian Tian while hoping her to come with her.

Listening what the human girl said had touched the unseen wound in the spirit's heart as she understood that the human was caring about her. But thinking that it won't change anything the spirit denied the generous offer. The last line by the human was the one which compelled her to give it a last try probably she might be happier this way. Thinking so the spirit went along with Tian Tian.

Inside the car,

Tian Tian and the spirit were sitting in the back seat while the driver as instructed was driving her back to the garden.

Tian Tian was used to seeing ghosts since she was small and thus in the car she was busy in her own things and did not let the driver have even the slightest hunch about some one else's presence in the car.
