Tyler Zand's eyes blinked a few times, and he swallowed his words.

His ‘pauper’ image had long been ingrained in people’s minds. Even if he told the truth, no one would believe it.

When Ramona Leighton saw that Tyler Zand had stopped talking, she was even more firmly convinced of her judgment.

She decided to ignore Tyler Zand and went back to her bed to lie down and rest.

Early the next morning, they left the house together.

Tyler drove Ramona to and fro work every day.

"Drive slowly on your way back," Ramona said as she got out of the car when they arrived at the entrance of the company.

"Will do," Tyler responded.

Just as he was about to drive away, he saw a red Audi approaching and stopped at the entrance of the company.

A short-haired woman in her thirties came out of the car. She was dressed in professional attire and looked like the shrewd-type.

"Wow...Ramona Leighton, you’re doing better than I am every day. You even have a professional driver!" The short-haired woman sneered and said to Ramona in a teasing manner.

Ramona was in a tough spot. This short-haired girl was her immediate boss, Lily Evans, the vice president of the marketing department.

"VP Evans, it was my husband who drove me, not a driver," Ramona Leighton clarified.

Lily felt uncomfortable every time she saw Ramona.

It was because Ramona was so beautiful and had such a good figure, which made her jealous.

"Hehe, I thought you hooked up with some random man again, turns out it's your good-for-nothing husband," Lily sneered and glanced at Tyler, who was in the car.

Tyler could hear everything clearly in the car. He felt speechless.

Even the people in Ramona's company thought of him as a useless bum.

"Lily Evans, please be respectful with your words!" Ramona said loudly.

"Oh, you must be mistaken. I’m your boss, why do I need to respect you?" Lily looked at Ramona with an annoyed expression.

Ramona's heart trembled with anger. She opened her mouth to speak but decided to keep it in.

She knew that Lily was deliberately making things difficult for her. This woman had long been displeased with her and wanted to kick her out of the company.

If she went head-on with Lily, it would only lead to her losing her job.

"If you bully my wife anymore, you’ll regret it."

At that moment, Tyler got out of the car and stared at Lily.

"Haha, you’re a joker. A useless bum like you standing up for your wife?"

Lily curled her lips, looked at Ramona with a smile, and said, "Ramona, your husband is ill-mannered. Why don’t you do anything about it? In the future, don't bring a disgrace like him out in public."

After she finished speaking, she twisted her waist and entered the company.

Ramona took a deep breath and adjusted her emotions.

When Tyler stood up for her just now, she was moved.

No matter how unbearable this man was, at least he still had her in his heart.

"Don’t worry about it, you can go back now," Ramona looked at Tyler and said.

"Why don't you quit this job, then you won’t be bullied working under this b*tch," Tyler said.

"Haha." Ramona smiled bitterly. "You’re not bringing in any income. If I tender my resignation, how would our family get by?"

After saying that, she raised her pretty face and looked at the sky.

However, Tyler clearly saw that Ramona's eyes were filled with tears, and she raised her face because she did not want the tears to flow down her face.

Tyler could not help but felt a little distressed as he watched Ramona turn around and walk into the office.

The thought of Ramona being bullied in the company made him furious.

He took out his cell phone and dialed Percy's number.

"Hey, it's me, Tyler Zand."

"It’s you, Young Master, you finally called back."

Percy’s excited voice came from the other end of the call.

Tyler thought about it and seemed that, as expected, Percy already knew of his identity.

"Yes, Young Master, Butler Quaid had already explained it to me. Young Master, Universal International is actually your family's property, and I’m just one of the workers that serves your family..."

Tyler was very surprised.

"Young Master, please go on."

"Are you familiar with Novo?" Tyler asked.

"I’ve heard of them. It's just a small company. Has this company offended you? Don't worry, Young Master, we can make this company go bankrupt in minutes!" Percy said domineeringly.

"We don’t have to go there. My wife works in this company, and her boss is named Lily. This woman is very annoying. Think of some way to warn her so that she will not bully my wife in the future."

"Not an issue, I’ll drop a call to Novo’s boss now," Percy said happily.

After Tyler hung up the call, he felt a lot more relieved.

With Percy Milton in the picture, there would not be trouble in the future. His wife would not be bullied by that b*tch again.

When he thought of that, Tyler Zand got in the car and drove home.

Suddenly, a familiar BMW parked on the side of the road came into view.

‘Isn't this Philip’s car?’

Tyler decided to stop the car.

There was a gold store nearby. Through the glass door, Tyler saw Philip at a glance.

Tyler felt upset when he thought about Philip's ill-intentions toward Ramona.

What surprised him even more was that by Philip's side, stood his mother-in-law, Susan!

Susan was leaning on the counter, pointing her fingers at the various jewelry in the counter, and communicating with the clerk.

Suddenly, Tyler got a general idea of what was happening.

The scheming Philip had planned to buy jewelry to please Susan?

Tyler could not keep calm. He got out of the car and walked into the gold shop quietly.

The gold store was quite popular and had a lot of customers. Tyler hid behind a few customers and secretly kept watch of them.

"Susan, this gold-inlaid jade bracelet is not too bad. It matches your temperament."

Philip had a smile on his face as he flattered Susan.

Susan was very happy to hear that. She tried on the bracelet and could not put it down.

"Oh Phillip, the bracelet is good, but it's too expensive. It's 8800 bucks!" Susan said.

"Hehe, the price tag means nothing. As long as you like it, we’ll buy it."

"Thank you for your gift."

Susan Zimmer was so happy that she was smiling from ear to ear. "Hey, you’re really sensible and know how to be filial to the elders. If Ramona had married you, it would’ve been great!"

"Susan, I’m willing to wait for her! As long as Ramona is willing to change her mind and divorce Tyler, I’ll marry her immediately!" Philip said avowedly.

Susan was tempted. In her heart, she was thinking that Philip was a hundred times stronger than the useless bum—Tyler Zand. He did not even hesitate when he bought an 8800 bucks bracelet for her. Where would she find such a son-in-law?

"Okay! I'll persuade Ramona later."

As Tyler listened to the conversation, he started to get angry.

‘Mother-in-law oh mother-in-law, if you knew that my family had trillions in assets and that I’m the richest man in the country, would you still say that?’

"By the way, Ramona called me just now and said that her boss had apologized to her and promised that she would never bully her again! I could tell that Ramona was very happy." Susan admired a pure gold and diamond necklace on the counter and said to Philip absentmindedly.

"Is that the case?" Philip was surprised.

He did promise to help Ramona solve this issue, but he did not even know who Ramona's boss was. He was not sure that it could be done.

"For this, she has you to thank! When Ramona gets off work, I’ll ask her to invite you for dinner. Just the two of you, so that she has a chance to thank you."

Susan smiled kindly and even winked at Philip, hinting to him that he should seize the opportunity.

Philip was very excited; this was the opportunity that he was waiting for!

"Susan, it’s just a small matter. I love Ramona so much. Helping her comes naturally." Philip had no shame and took the credit for himself.

When he saw Philip being so shameless, Tyler felt really disgusted.

He calmed himself down and wanted to hear what they were saying behind his back.

Susan was itching to buy more things and pointed to the diamond and gold necklace on the counter.

When Philip saw the price, he was stunned.

The diamond necklace was priced at 86,000 bucks!

Although his family was rich, his monthly allowance was only about 20,000 bucks. It would be painful for him to purchase something worth 80,000 bucks.

"Susan, this..."

Philip looked like he was in a dilemma.
