Chapter 3 Do You Feel Very Honored

“Ramona, you’re finally home. I’ve been waiting for you.”

Philip tried his best to restrain his restlessness and portray his gallant demeanor as he presented the roses to her.

That was Ramona who just got back from work, but she had not expected this pesky fly to turn up.

She had been pestered by Philip to the point of trauma since high school and this time when he appeared again, she felt that sense of being harassed.

Ramona could not help a sense of melancholy when she glanced at Tyler.

If her man could show just a little promise, Philip would not have acted with such arrogance now.

“Hmm.” Ramona merely nodded her head without reaching for the flowers.

“Hehe, Philip. Ramona has been facing some problems at work, so her mood’s a little down.”

On the other hand, Susan noticed the situation was not quite right and quickly explained.

“Really? Let me know if there’s any problem. It’s not that I’m bragging, but there’s nothing that I can’t solve yet in Northbrook City.” Philip confidently patted his chest.

His father was rich, powerful, and widely connected. His family was certainly very influential in Northbrook City.

As for Ramona’s refusal to accept his roses, that was nothing. He had all the patience in the world.

Susan smiled at his words. “That’s true, I believe in you! Unlike some trash who can only stand there and watch as problems occur, no matter big or small.”

Susan glanced at Tyler with disdain while saying that.

Tyler did not say anything. It was not the first time Susan had looked down on him. He was already used to it.

Ramona could not help feeling uncomfortable from seeing her mother derogating Tyler in front of outsiders.

No matter how useless, he was still her husband in the name.

“Mom, I’m tired. I’m heading back to rest in my room.”

Ramona glanced at Tyler after saying that and motioned for him to also enter their room to avoid any further disgrace.

“Philip, don’t mind her. Ramona has been facing some problems with her boss recently, so…”

“Mom!”

Ramona interrupted her before Susan could finish speaking.

“Haha, it’s just a trivial matter. I’ll find a chance to have a meal with Ramona’s boss and make sure he doesn’t cause any troubles to Ramona in the future,” said Philip with a small smile.

“That’s great, Philip. I’ll thank you in advance.” Susan was all smiles and completely trusted Philip’s words.

“It’s just a trivial matter, Aunt Susan. You’re too polite.”

“Let’s go downstairs for a walk,” Ramona tugged at the corner of Tyler’s clothes.

Tyler was stunned.

In the past three years of marriage, his wife had not even bothered talking to him much. Did the sun rise from the west today?

However, he very quickly realized that Ramona just hated the sight of Philip and wanted to find an opportunity to go out.

“Okay.” Tyler smiled gently at Ramona.

“What’s okay about it? You can go out by yourself and don’t return before dark. Ramona will stay at home with our guest.” Susan glared at Tyler.

“Aunt Susan, since those legs of Ramona’s husband seem well now, why don’t I help him find a job. A man who doesn’t earn a single cent and relies on his working wife is not good after all,” said Philip.

Ramona was taken aback at his words. Tyler’s leg was healed?

“Philip, you’re right. My daughter must not support him any longer.” Susan repeatedly nodded and deeply trusted his words.

“That’s great. The HR Manager of Universal International is a good friend of mine. How about bringing him there for a try?” Philip asked Susan tentatively.

He already formulated a plan to humiliate Tyler in front of Ramona and Susan.

He wanted Ramona to know that the husband she had chosen was useless and a degenerate.

Throwing herself into his arms was the only best choice for her!

“Of course, Philip. Let me change my clothes.” Susan was very satisfied with this arrangement and repeatedly nodded.

“Mom, I can get a job on my own. There’s no need to trouble him,” Tyler spoke up at this moment.

The expressions on Susan’s face immediately fell. “Young Master Kingsley is kind enough to find you a job. Don’t you appreciate it?”

“I can get one on my own.”

“The hell with it! Come with me at once or else you’ll never return to this house again.” Susan angrily glared at Tyler.

Tyler was helpless and glanced at his wife standing beside him.

Ramona did not say anything which meant she silently acquiescing to her mother’s suggestion.

She also hoped that Tyler could get a job like any other husbands, so as not to be ridiculed as a lame waste.

“Mom, are you going to Universal International? I want to come along too. That’s a famous company in our city!”

At this time, Rosalyn came out from her room and said excitedly.

Tyler had no other choice as Mother-in-Law would do what she had said. If he refused, he might be chased out from the house.

The four of them got into Philip’s BMW and headed towards Universal International.

The spacious and comfortable luxury car made Susan very envious.

She even had the idea of driving Tyler out of the house sooner or later and finding a rich son-in-law like Philip.

Ten minutes later, Universal International.

As soon as they stepped into the company, a beautiful young woman with a hot figure immediately noticed Tyler.

After carefully scrutinizing Tyler, the expression on her face drastically changed and with some documents still in her arms, she quickly ran into the Chairman’s office.

“Chairman! The young man that you told me to keep a lookout for is here at our company!”

This beauty was Chairman Percy Milton’s assistant, Yvette Lowe.

She was surprised and ecstatic when she saw Tyler just now. She hurriedly reported this matter to Percy.

“Really?!” Percy jumped up in excitement.

He was Chairman of Universal International in the title but was merely a pawn of the Zand family.

This company essentially belonged to the Zand family.

When Tyler met up with Butler Quaid, one of his followers secretly took a picture.

Just a short while ago, Butler Quaid had sent Tyler’s picture to Percy’s phone.

His instruction was to take very good care of this very important Young Master.

Percy could hardly sit still. The Young Master was here. It was an excellent opportunity for him to perform!

“Where is he?”

“In the HR Department.”

“Hurry!”

Percy waved his hands and hurried out with Yvette.

At the HR Manager’s office.

“William, this is the husband of my good friend. Can you arrange a job for him?”

Philip shook his propped leg and pointed at Tyler behind him before asking the HR Manager, William Jones.

William dared not to be rude in front of Philip. “Young Master Kingsley, as you’re aware, many people are queueing up to enter Universal International. We really don’t have any vacancies now.”

“Didn’t you mention you are looking for a janitor?” Philip smiled slyly and winked at William.

William was a smart man and immediately understood Philip’s intentions.

Young Master Kingsley was trying to put the beauty’s husband down. Was he trying to come in between the two?

Sure enough, she was a world-class beauty…

After a furtive peek at Ramona, William felt unbalanced.

He married such a beautiful wife. That was so unfair!

“Haha, we’re lacking janitors at the moment but it requires cleaning the lavatories. Is your friend’s husband capable of doing that?” William turned his mocking eyes at Tyler.

Ramona frowned and her face felt hot upon hearing that.

However, Tyler’s indifference made her heart run cold.

She hated that her man was useless.

People were about to send him to clean the toilets, but he was still unmoved?

Was being a janitor a worthy job for a man? It was clearly a humiliation!

Was he even a man?

“Aunt Susan, what do you think? It’s really difficult to get into Universal International,” Philip pretended to be in a dilemma and asked Susan instead.

Susan also felt it was inappropriate but still said, “He doesn’t have many abilities, so earning a little is better than nothing. It beats staying at home and being neighbors’ laughing stock.”

“Hey, can you take up the job as a janitor? You’re used to cleaning at home, right?” Susan impatiently asked Tyler.

“Do you feel very honored that your son-in-law is going to be a janitor?” said Tyler.

“You…” Susan was taken aback and was at a loss for words.

“Some people are just too thick-skinned. He has a wife to support him anyway. He’s not very motivated of course.”

Philip leaned back on his chair. “People like you are selfish and not considerate of your wife. If I were like you, I’d be willing to do anything just to reduce Ramona’s burden.”

“That’s right. Stop sticking your nose up in the air. In Universal International, even a janitor is a promising job. As for your wages, I'll add another five hundred on Young Master Philip’s account. A monthly salary of three thousand, how about that?”

William looked at Tyler with a sneer. “You should be thankful to Young Master Philip and your wife. Otherwise, you won’t even have the chance to clean the toilets…”

“William Jones! How dare you!”

At this moment, the deep voice of a middle-aged man sounded.

The closed-door was immediately kicked open after that.
