Chapter 15 Who Are You Working With

Although Yvette was considerably street smart, she was still helpless when faced with this big bully, Sean.

“How could you bring someone like him to our project, Yasmine? You’ve crossed the line!” One could hear Yvette’s trembling voice while Yasmine was pleased with this sight. This was exactly what she wanted.

“Are you afraid now, Yvette? Be a smart girl and beg me for forgiveness. I may forgive you this time.” Yasmine threatened her as she clung to Sean’s waist

As angry as Yvette was, she dared not mess with Yasmine, who was seemingly close to Sean. She would be at a disadvantage to go against Yasmine as Sean might just get rough on her.

Tyler watched the whole drama unfold and shook his head. The Human Resources Department should look into this. How careless of Percy to have employed such people.

“Who the hell are you and do you belong here?” Tyler questioned Sean.

Sean, who had his attention focused on the pretty Yvette, had not paid any attention to Tyler. He even thought Tyler was just another construction worker.

“Ay, look at you, gutsy little man. Is this how you speak to Master Sean?” That ferocious glare could still be seen in Sean’s squinted eyes as he walked toward Tyler.

Yvette’s blood was almost drained. Tyler was too precious to be injured here. She could not bear the responsibilities if anything happened to him.

She sandwiched herself between Sean and Tyler then proclaimed, “You can deal with me here, I’m the one who hit Yasmine.”

“Hehe, I never hit a woman. So let me take care of this brat.” Sean waved his hand and invited, “Yo, brat. Don’t just stand behind a woman. Come out here!”

Tyler was completely speechless. It takes all sorts to make a world… Sean was really playing with fire. Sean had arrived before Tyler just as he was caught in his thoughts.

“So you know him, Miss Lowe?” Sean asked as he breathed anger.

Yvette could tell that he was about to get rough. In cruel hands as his, Tyler would get into trouble.

“I’m warning you, Sean Stallone, stop this mess this instance or Mr. Milton will not like this,” Yvette warned.

Sean laughed. “Haha, I’ll pay my respect to Mr. Milton, hence why I will leave you in one piece. As for this brat here, he’s mine. Milton won’t bother if I just mess with this little brat here, will he?”

‘Bother? He’ll kill you if you dare touch the Young Master’s finger!’ Yvette scolded internally. She then turned around and whispered in Tyler’s ears, “Young Master, please take your leave. He works for Kent Logan, not someone you’d wanna mess with.”

Sean was jealous at the sight of this—more reason for him to bash Tyler.

So, he works for Kent Logan? Tyler suddenly understood something.

Kent Logan was one of the infamous characters in Northbrook. No wonder Sean was so arrogant, but this made his life easier because he had connections with Kent.

“What are you whispering there, Yvette Lowe? You slapped me once and I’ll return you with ten!” Yasmine charged toward Yvette.

Sean grabbed Yasmine. “Baby, no. I have a contract for this land. I’ll be left with nothing if you hit her.”

“You signed your contract with Graham Lawson, what f*ck does she have to do with this? I don’t care, I want to slap her back today! Let Graham settle your contract.” Yasmine almost landed her hand on Yvette.

Sean was still rational. He knew better than to mess with Percy’s assistant to save his *ss for the project, so he stopped Yasmine from doing so.

“Little brat, you shall repay for the slap Yasmine endured. Do you want to do it yourself, or do I have to do it for you?” Sean walked toward Tyler obnoxiously.

“So, you work with Kent. Is that correct?”

That caught Sean in surprise.

“How dare you call Master Logan by his first name? You’re really living on the edge, aren’t you?”

“How about you give Kent a call, and ask if he knows someone named Tyler Zand,” suggested Tyler.

“Haha, how entertaining. Why would Master Logan know someone like you?” Yasmine burst out with laughter. She thought that was extremely funny.

Tyler did not bother with her and only looked at Sean.

Sean was indeed worried. He was fearful of his boss, Kent Logan. What if they actually knew each other? Sh*t.

He knew it was best to make that call than otherwise. “Boss, this brat here, Tyler Zand… He said he knows you…”

“Where are you now?”

“I’m at the water park project in the western suburb.”

“Wait for me there and don’t you dare slight Mr. Zand or I’ll tear you apart!” Kent ended the call at that note while Sean almost tripped with his wobbling legs.

Looking at Tyler, he knew he was in big trouble...

A person like Kent could attend to Tyler immediately just by the sound of his name. Who the f*ck was Tyler Zand?

Sean dared not pursue further and coaxed with the brightest smile he could put on, “Master Zand, I was blind. You’re the bigger person, please forgive my stupidity.”

What the heck? Yasmine did not understand. What happened during his call?

“Baby, he’s just another construction worker around here. His sister works under me. Why are you afraid of him?” Yasmine complained.

“Shut your f*cking mouth, dumb b*tch!” Sean was impatient and Yasmine dared not make another sound.

“What happened to ‘bashing the little brat’, Sean Stallone?” Tyler questioned.

Sean turned pale. He had to work toward gaining Tyler’s forgiveness before Kent arrived.

“Master Zand, I wouldn’t have said that if I knew you were friends with Master Logan.” Sean politely bowed to Tyler and tried to keep his neutral expression but failed—he could not hide the bitterness in his smile. Yasmine also dared not press the matter further.

Sean was her backing and she could not possibly cause more trouble there looking at how Sean was treating Tyler. Who would have known that Tyler knew Kent? Yasmine was conflicted.

So did Yvette, she did not know those two knew each other. What more, she was surprised they were actually close.

Tyler did not bother trivial characters like Sean and Yasmine as it was not worth his efforts.

He looked at the frightened Leonora and said, “Why don’t you head home first, Nora?”

“Will you be fine here?” She looked at Sean and asked worriedly.

“I’ll be fine, go on and head home.” Tyler smiled.

Leonora wanted nothing more but to leave that place where that uncultured couple was. Just as she stepped out of the room, a young man was heading in there.

Tyler recognized this man. He was Graham, Tiffany’s boyfriend. He was cursing as he entered the room.

“F*ck. What took you so long just to clean this place? Can’t you do a better job?” Graham was furious especially after that incident at Faircreek Seafood Restaurant. He then saw Tyler.

‘What the f*ck is this bugger doing here?’

“Are you doing your job, Yasmine? You just bring whoever here! What do you think this is, a market?” he reprimanded Yasmine.

Yasmine was his subordinate and she was fearful of him.

“I didn’t let him in, Graham,” explained Yasmine.

He did not bother what Yasmine said but pointed at Tyler, “Scram! We don’t welcome losers like you!”

As shocked as Yvette was, she pitied Graham. ‘Is this how you talk to the Young Master? Did you get your ‘Courage’ from Fish Leong?’

Tyler looked at Graham’s disgusting face and asked, “Are you sure I’m the one leaving here and not you?”

“Oh, f*ck you. I choose not to pursue the matters at the seafood restaurant to save your face, and now you’re parading here?” Graham scolded then turned to Sean. “Brother Sean, get him out of here. Use force if he refuses!”

Sean was pale upon hearing that. If he had not called Kent, he would have done as Graham instructed without any hesitation. Graham was after all the one in charge of his contract. In truth, Tyler was good friends with Kent and Sean would not have dared to even touch Tyler in his right mind.

“Graham, you should...calm down,” Sean whispered a reminder.

“This doesn’t sound like you, Brother Sean. If you won’t do it, I’ll do it.” He went forward and grabbed Tyler’s hair just as he finished speaking.

“So, I see you like to fight.” A man’s loud and clear voice could suddenly be heard from the door. This man walked as he spoke and quickly grabbed Graham’s hair.

“Master Logan, you’re here.” Sean greeted him ever so politely. He dared not even breathe deeply before this man.
