Chapter 3

Finally! Inner peace. This day is so exhausting and annoying.

That guy ruined my freaking mood. He's so full of authority and confidence, how come he's just an assistant? He should've switch positions with his boss. 

I was about to tuck myself onto my bed to take a rest, but the doorbell started ringing. 

When will I live a peaceful life? 

I opened the door and Sierra showed up holding two bottles of beer, damn this alcohol addicted woman. 

"If you're here just to drink with me I'm not in the mood Sierra Simmons, I need to take a rest this day is so cruel to me," I said slowly closing the door. 

"Please... Just one glass then we're done," She said giving me puppy eyes. 

"No. Leave now because I need to take a peaceful rest," I said and banged the door closed which made a loud noise. 

"Wait! Okay! Okay! I'm not drinking anymore! I'll just put this in your refrigerator," She shouted.

"You have your refrigerator!" I bawled.

"I swear! I won't drink, I can't sleep that's why I came here and besides I'm actually here for a little chit chat cause I suddenly miss talking to you." 

"Ugh!" I opened the door widely and walked towards the living room. 

"I knew it you can't resist me,"She said smiling from ear to ear. 

"Whatever, so what do you want to talk about?" 

"Uhm... Let me think." 

Minutes past, but Sierra hasn't any topic to brought up so I decided to tell her about that guy who saved me in the club. 

"Anyways, do you remember that guy who saved me yesterday?" 

"Yes! That tall man with a bulky body. What's with him? You like him!? Who wouldn't though? Even when I'm drunk that time I can feel that he has a very strong sex appeal--" 

"Stop complimenting him. I didn't tell you this because he's my type, but the reason is earlier I had a meeting with a client, and my assistant said I'll be meeting the assistant of Griffin Men's Magazine--" 

"What!? You got an offer from Griffin?" She asked shocked and amazed. 

"Yes, why?" 

"You bitch! That company is on top! It has so many branches and the main one is in Italy!" 

"For real?" 

"Yes! And there's a rumour that the owner of that company is an engineer and he was often featured in some of his magazines, but I don't know if it is real because the real owner is anonymous." 

"How come? He's the owner of a big company, but he doesn't show off? What about his meetings and press conferences?" 

"I don't know, maybe he hired someone for that since he doesn't want to get known." 

"That's weird." 

"Yes, but isn't it amazing? he doesn't show off and brags about how big his company and how rich he is."

"Maybe, he wanted to live like a normal person." 

"Yeah, that's what I thought too. So what about that guy who saved you?" 

"That guy is his assistant." 

"You mean, he's the assistant of the owner of Griffin?" 

"Yes, and then when I address him as an assistant he started laughing like hell! It's like I'm saying the most ridiculous thing." 

"What the hell?" 

"He's seriously weird and you know what he said when I told him to tell his boss that I refused to his offer because he was rude? He whispered in my ears and told me that 'I'm dangerous'." 

"I don't get it." 

"So am I! They're weirdos and who the hell would name their child dangerous? Like duh..." 

"Why did you refused though?" 

"Because he asked me to strip!" 

"Are you dumb? You refused just because he told you to strip?" 

"Yes, why not!?" 

"You're so stupid, for fucks sake Carolina Benevolent De Guzman!" 

"What!? Why?" 

"Imagine every time you are in a shooting, aren't you almost fully naked? So why are you annoyed when he will be the only person to see you naked in that room?" 

"You got a point, but still isn't it a bit rude to say that directly?" 

"Bitch, if you started a job as a flight attendant, you need to remove all your clothes like one hundred fucking percent! Because they're gone checking your skin! What more if you're a model!?" 

"He already knew that I'm a model so what's the point of stripping off? Duh..." I said rolling my eyes. 

"Whatever, you're so dumb did you know how much they pay their models? Five hundred thousand to one million a month!" 

"Hell no! and why would they offer me a job if I'm just popular in our country not worldwide? Besides, there are more hotter girls than me." 

"Because you're qualified to be one! Didn't you get it? You're so dumb!" 

My monthly fee is just forty thousand, but not exactly every month because sometimes I don't have clients, but this offer for what Sierra said is a kinda big opportunity. 

"Should I undoubtedly accept it?" 

"Yes!" 

"But I refused it already..." I said guilty. 

"Ask Diane to contact him again because you changed your mind." 

"Are you sure?" 

"Why the fuck are you asking me? It's up to you but this is a great offer, as in better than what offer you mostly got." 

"Alright," I said. 

Seven before noon is when I usually wake up to prepare, Sierra slept in my condo. She wasn't able to sleep in her apartment because she saw a ghost. 

"What's my schedule for today?" I asked Diane as we walked inside the agency's building. 

"A go-see Ms.Carolina." 

"For how many hours?" 

"Four hours miss." 

"The hell? Am I going to tell them my whole life starting at zero year old?" 

"No, but you're not the only model there. There are three other models from the big three agencies." 

"Then why am I there? If most of the models attending there are the big three." 

"I don't know miss, ask your manager." 

"Whatever, contact Mr.Dabal and tell him I changed my mind." 

"You're accepting it miss?" 

"Yes." 

"Great!" 

"Tell him that I'll sign the contract after this go-see." 

"But miss you have a shooting with Victorious." 

"Move it." 

"Okay." 

"Where's the location of go-see?" 

"Maxime conference room." 

"What time?" 

"After you meet your manager miss." 

"Alright." 

My manager told me that he already solved the issue. People didn't make it a big deal, it's just some articles who are making it more dramatic and the reason why I'm joining a go see with the big three is because of the issue yesterday. 

The media already started to ask us, I was the first one to get questioned.

"Ms.Carolina is that true that you engaged in a fight yesterday?" 

"Yes," I answered directly. 

"Why are you here if you are not one of the big three?" 

That question was a bit rude, but I need to be professional when it comes to these kinds of things or I'll be blacklisted within a day. 

"Because people wanted to hear the issue yesterday from my own mouth not from my manager," I said and smiled. 

"Why did you slapped Claudio Marcus or the guy you had a fought with? " 

"Because he was disrespecting me of how I dress." 

"Do you have any relationship with the guy who saved you yesterday?" 

"No, we're complete strangers." 

After asking me they proceed to the big three. 

"What did he said?" I asked Diane. 

The go-see ended already and now we're heading towards the parking lot. 

"He told me that you should beg for it." 

"What the hell? For real?" 

"Yes, miss he also told me that you should go there alone without any assistance." 

"What is he planning to do?" 

"I don't know miss, he just said that he wants you all alone and ended the call." 

"That man!" 

"If I were you miss I'll do it. Imagine a million or half salary every month." 

"Really?" 

"Yes, miss." 

"Okay let's change our position then." 

"We can't do that miss. But for real, I'll do everything to earn that money. Don't be choosey miss the opportunity is already near you." 

"Alright, then tell him I'll come now. Give me the car keys." 

"Are you sure miss you don't want me to come?" 

"Yeah, I'm not a kid anymore and besides that's what he wanted" 

"Okay miss, good luck!" 

Damn him, he's full of authority. How can he have such confidence when he's just the assistant?

I entered the elevator without asking the lobbyist, I went there all by myself since he wants me alone. 

"Ma'am, do you have any appointments with Mr.Sapphirus?" 

"Sapphirus who? I'm going to meet Mr.Dabal." 

"We don't know any person whose name is Dabal ma'am." 

What the hell? 

"Ma'am you can't enter his office without any permission!" She said but she's too late I opened it already. 

"Fuck!" He bawled and pushed the girl off of his top, poor human being. 

I was stunned. He was having sex with a girl! But never mind, I'll be just informing him that I'm accepting his offer. 

"Sorry, If I disturbed you both. But Mr.Dabal I'm accepting your offer and let's just sign the contract tomorrow since you're busy today. Thanks and have fun!" I said and quickly run out of that office. 

Oh, my freaking gosh! What did I just saw!?

Damn him! After he said that I should go there all alone and beg that's what I will run to. 

He's so disgusting! Why is he doing his manly things in his office? That was so unprofessional! I wonder how will his boss react if he found out that his assistant is having sex during office time.
