"Do you need any help?" Rico asked while I carried a few heavy boxes.

"No, I'm sure I can manage. Thank you." I responded politely as he smiled at me and walked away.

I dropped the boxes in the store as I took stock the inventory, checking if everything was in order and writing down things we required.

I smiled as I left the storeroom, locking it behind me and giving to key to Martini since he was our boss. He owned the restaurant and he made it a diversed place for anyone and everyone well most.

"I'm so glad I hired someone as organized as you, Min-ho always messes that place up and Swanti wants nothing to do with the basement." He explained as he dropped the key inside his desk drawer.

"It's really nothing. I should be grateful you hired someone like me even though I don't have much of a certificate or a certified chef license."

"Nonsense! I didn't even graduate from high school but look at me, I'm doing well. School ain't for everybody that's what mamá always told me when I was still little." He narrated with his thick Hispanic accent that gave his voice an an attractive rumble.

"Well I better go help the guys or see where I'm needed." I said as he nodded before I left his office.

I went into the back of the kitchen, seeing Dimitri, a muscular, huge beta behind the grill who took his job serious.

He may look mean, cold and ferocious but he was extremely nice, friendly and had an unbelievable weakness for cute things. He even helps me pack and style my hair with cute hairbands and pins he made himself.

"Sora could you drop this at table seven?" Veronica, a goth into wiccan religion said as I nodded and collected the meal from her.

I walked up to table seven, the customer having a newspaper in his face as I dropped his order

"Here's your order sir." I said softly and wanted to leave when I heard a familiar chuckle.

Oh no.

"Hey Sora." Elias said as I gave him an unbelievable look.

"Hey. What are you doing here?" I asked quietly, pulling away any attention on me.

"I'm taking my time stalking you."

"Really? I'm sure that just you trying to be funny." I said and we both chuckled softly.

"The hospital I work in isn't far from here and this place make a mind blowing lasagna, you should try it." He responded with a wink as I felt my face heat up in embarrassment.

"W-well enjoy your meal." I said quickly, running away as Elias laughed before picking a cutlery.

It was like everywhere I went he kept on following me. My heart couldn't take the increased pumping and surprises especially whenever I think of how he almost kissed me that day.

That man was going to be the death of me.

"Is anything wrong Sora?" Rico asked as he placed his hand on my waist, pulling my small stature closer to himself.

"Nothing at all. I'm fine thanks." I responded as he nodded, removing his hand and moving along.

At first I thought Rico was trying to pull a move on me but it turns out that was his nature because his from Puerto Rican and I heard they were very affectionate people.

The girls always love how affectionate and concerned he was that Ulanda has her eyes on him who sadly was boy fanatic. However, Rico was more of an elder brother than a man to everyone else.

I checked the time seeing it was time for me to go pick up Ren. I decided to pack up so I quickly packed up since I had a night shift at another location.

"I'm leaving!" I announced to the guys as I headed for the door while they waved me goodbye.

I paused when I saw Elias leaning on his car with a candy stick in his mouth.

He seemed to have this three times candy a day thing going on for him as he looked around and whistled, probably waiting for someone.

I covered the side my face and quickly walked by but he caught my wrist and stopped me in my tracks.

"I've been waiting for you. I'm sure your on your way to get Ren and I have to get Asa myself. Need a ride?" He asked as I shook my head and continued moving but he blocked my path.

"Come on please. It'd be lonely beating you there and having to wait when I can just bring you there." He said with a pleading smile and puppy eyes.

"Then get your girlfriend." I said as I stepped away from him, moving forward with gladness he wasn't following me.

I was walking down the pavements when I turned right and saw Elias, driving his car to match my speed.

He had this teasing expression on his face as he winked at me that had me frowning.

This man was really persistant and I blame his being the youngest of his family.

"What do you think your doing?" I asked as I paused as well as he while we stared eye to eye.

"What does it look like I'm doing. I'm going to the daycare with you but unlike you, I chose the easy way. In wheeled style."

"So your following me now?"

"Yeah. As long as it's the same direction plus we should get along since we'll be seeing each other a lot."

"Your so stubborn! Why can't you leave me alone?! Suit yourself but don't blame me if the cops chew you for lunch." I growled as I continued my journey, increasing my pace as he slowly increased his with a thrilled smug smile on his face.

How could he be enjoying himself right now? Don't give him the amusement he wants Sora Michaelson.

We got close to a traffic light stop and I watched him as well as the light. Even in red, he didn't look like he was stopping anytime soon.

I bit my lips hard as we got closer but he still wasn't stopping and in as much as I want to be away from him, my conscious wouldn't sit well if he got arrested while his little angel was still in school so I stopped.

"Alright you win! Just please stop." I begged as he paused and opened the door for me with a victory smirk.

"I hate you." I mumbled as he laughed while I closed the door.

I tried putting on the seatbelt but it was proving a bit difficult making me curse in Japanese.

Elias had a soft smile at my cursing as he clicked off his, helping me with mine while our face remained a few inches away from each other.

I could feel his hot breath grazing my lips as his eyes gazed on my lips and eyes at intervals.

I felt hypnotised and powerless against his stares as my face got hot, the cherry color on my cheeks spreading to my whole face as I averted my head before Elias chuckled and clicked in the belt.

He drove when the lights hit green as an awkward silence fell upon us.

I had to put on the radio to cool my head and reduce my fluster. Thankfully, it helped me.

I couldn't help but sigh in relief as we got to the daycare center.

I thanked Elias for the ride as I quickly entered the building giving space between myself and Elias as we sat in the lobby.

I smiled when Ren waved one of the kids goodbye as he held Asa with his right hand like he was his guide.

Asa seemed to be flustered as he held Ren because his pink cheeks were a bright shade of red. His hair had one tail, popping from the left of his long hair with a cherry hair decoration keeping it tied.

Asa released his hands from Ren as he walked to his father who carried him and pasted kisses on his cheeks before hugging his neck in response.

I wished to hear him talk more but it seems that has to wait as Ren sat beside me in the lobby, searching for something inside the bag that had his things and brought out a bag of half eaten cookies.

"Mommy here." He stretched his hand, holding a half eaten cookies as he fed it to me. Ren believed so much in sharing meals that he eats everything before giving it. I'm just hoping he outgrows it since some people may not understand.

Asa had Elias bring him down as he walked to Ren, taking the cookies in his hand as Ren laughed and opened the bag for him to take more.

Asa took another and bit before giving to his father the half bitten one as Elias bent down and allowed his son to feed him.

"This is amazing. Where did you get it?" Elias moaned as Ren giggled.

"Ba-chan." He answered with a blush on his face.

"Who's ba-chan?" Elias asked.

"His grandmother, Edith. Oba-chan or ba-chan means grandmother. You were married to a Japanese, how do not you know?" I asked out of curiosity.

"I never met Hana in Japan and we weren't married long enough to learn anything except greetings and a few curse words she threw at me." He explained as he rubbed his hair nervously.

I looked at him in confusion, my eyes blinking as I nodded in agreement.

It seems like our circumstances were similar yet different though I knew Jon before we bonded.

"I have to go, it was nice talking to you." I said as I held Ren's hand while he waved goodbye at Asa who nodded once with a cooed in response.

"I'll drop you off." He offered but I shook my head in refusal.

"You've done more than enough but I can handle the rest." I said with a soft smile on my face.

"I've been thinking since Ren is the first friend Asa has ever made, I was hoping if they could have a play date. Next week, Sunday?"

"Sunday?" I asked and he nodded. I was ready to decline but the fact that Ren was Asa's first friend had me feeling a little excited.

"Well Ren could use a little socializing outside school once in a while but I can only come if Felicia is okay with it."

"That's not a problem. Can I get your contact then?" He asked and I nodded as I brought out my phone.

He took it and dialed his number, calling it and saving it in his before handing my phone back to me.

"I hope to be seeing you around more often, Sora Michaelson. Let's go home Asa." He said as he held Asa's hand and walked away.

Oh God, save me from this persistent man.
