Congratulations On Becoming The Shopkeeper, Host
The Towering Clouds of the Storm Empire. The Towering Clouds referred to the Cloud City, which was named for its proximity to the Cloud Forest. There was an abundance of low-level magical beasts in the Cloud Forest. Consequently, the place attracted a large gathering of soldiers. There was a vast number of institutes within the Storm Empire. These institutes set up the trial grounds for the students, old and new, within the Cloud Forest. The large influx of people fostered the prosperity of resources, businesses, cultures, and defense forces within Cloud City. At a corner of an isolated street within the bustling city, there was a small bookstore. The boss of the shop laid his head on his shop’s window frame, staring at the empty streets out of boredom with a listless and empty gaze. Ding! “The update for the Shopkeeper System has been completed. Do you want to activate the system, host?” An emotionless digital sound rang out in Loren Quest’s mind. Loren was momentarily stunned, and then his eyes welled up with warm tears. ‘I’ve waited for an entire month. Finally, I’ve obtained the golden ticket to success in life.’ In Loren’s mind, he could see himself walking toward the pinnacle of his life with the system. He would astound everyone, obtaining the adulation of the masses. Even nations would come and honor him. ‘But what is this Shopkeeper System thing?’ Although Loren was feeling slightly lost, he still murmured out in his heart, “Activate it!” “The Shopkeeper System has received activation instructions. The Activation Mission will now commence.” [Activation Mission: The First Store] [Mission Details: Own a store of your own (As a great shopkeeper, how can one not own a store of their own?)] [Mission Reward: Activation of the Shopkeeper System] [Mission Time Limit: None] Loren was stunned. “Doesn’t this store count?” “This is a doghouse, not a store,” said the system. … Loren, who was heavily impacted by what the system told him, got up from the window frame and looked at the messy store. It was time to tidy up. Loren sold off the herbs that were previously left in the store at a low price. The remaining wooden racks and shelves were old and worn out as well. Loren thought about it, then decided to keep a few of the still-usable furniture pieces and threw away the rest. By the time he had finished his diligent cleaning of the place, the sky had already turned dark. The store now looked brand new. However, it was pretty empty. Loren rubbed his sore back as he summoned the system in his mind. “How is it? Can it count as my store now?” “It barely qualifies,” the system announced. “Activation Mission completed. The Shopkeeper System is officially activated!” After that, a shaft of white light appeared in the store and thoroughly scanned through the entire store. “Scanning is complete. The store has been refurbished. The opening of the first store is permitted. The defense system has been mounted.” Loren looked around him in shock as all the facilities within the store had been transformed. The original furniture in the store had all disappeared. A squarish counter faced the door and blocked all the partitioned space behind. The walls on both sides were now clean and freshly painted as g**d as new. The window on the wall facing the street had vanished, and in its place was a glass window. Farther behind, the System had transformed the partitioned room into a warehouse. There was even a soft and small bed next to the warehouse. “The first store has been successfully activated. Please draw the products to be sold.” Before Loren could respond to any of it, a loud clang rang out. A round picker wheel crashed down beside Loren. Loren nearly leaped up in shock. “Can’t you let me mentally prepare myself?” Loren’s paled as he looked toward the picker wheel. There were spirit beasts, magical weapons, mythical beasts, and god-tier combat skills… Loren’s eyes shone as he caught sight of all these fine g**ds.

The Youngblood siblings immediately walked into the shop and headed toward the shelves. “Wow, why are there so many elixirs all of a sudden?!” Auster had not noticed the new elixirs when he was outside the shop. When he recalled what he had said outside the shop, Auster’s face flushed red. Although he was the son of a wealthy and renowned family, he would not bring so many spirit crystals with him. He roughly estimated all the elixirs to be worth at least a few hundred spirit crystals. “There seems to be a few new types of elixirs among the products. May I know what their effects are?” Winter asked Loren. Loren had just sat back down behind the counter. After hearing Winter’s words, he simply answered her questions. Winter’s eyes shone after listening to Loren. These elixirs were all fine items. Particularly, the Discontinuity Elixir that could reattach broken limbs.
