CHAPTER SIX

Travis escorted Kamila back to Blake's house after they finished touring around the pack. He walked back to his own house while thinking about the conversation they had earlier. He admired the woman. Kamila remained strong despite losing his lover to death and succumbing to depression, she gradually got back on her feet.

He smiled when he saw his house. Finally, it's gonna be him and his mate again. Alone in their own little world. He opened the door and saw Alice on the couch, watching but she seemed lost, blankly staring at the television in front of her. 

"Honey," Travis tried calling her but she didn't answer. Travis went to her and waved a hand in front of her face.

"Honey, are you okay?" Travis asked and sat beside her. Alice blinked and smiled a little.

"I'm sorry honey. I'm just thinking of something," she said and put her head in his shoulder. Travis kissed her forehead and hugged her. 

"You love me right?" Alice asked out of nowhere. Travis looked confused for a second. It's the first time he heard Alice asked something like this.

"More than everything, honey," he answered without hesitation. Alice smiled. Hearing Travis' answer calmed her heart and her mind. There's no point on doubting her mate. The Moon Goddess gave him to her and she'll trust him with all her heart.

"Go wash, you stink. And I hate other woman's smell on you," said, rolled her eyes and covered her nose. Travis can't help but to laugh at his mate's reaction.

"You know honey, you're cute whenever you are jealous," he said. Alice frowned and slapped him on the chest. She got up but Travis was quick to pull her. She landed on his lap. He claimed her lips for a quick kiss and smiled showing his pearly white teeth.

"Let's go," he said and extend his hand. Alice smiled and took it. Hand in hand they both went to their room. True to his words, Travis made love to Alice all night long.

Kamila closed the black book after reading a few spell, she tried casting one of it but to her dismay, the spell didn't work. She angrily pushed the book aside. She opened the drawer and took the crumpled picture of Lleandro and her. She touched Lleandro's picture and sadly smile.

"I miss you so much," she said and sniffled quietly, tears threatening to spill from her blue eyes. A world without Lleandro is too dull for her. He is her sun, her knight in shining armor, and her everything. When he left her all alone in this cruel world, he took a part of her heart and soul with him. 

She wiped the tears that spilled over the sides of her eyes and grabbed the book. She'll try and use the spell once again. Over and over until it work.

The sun poured through the window of the room. Another day had dawned. Alice rubbed her eyes. Her body is sore all over after the amazing sex they had. She smiled and turned her body around seeing Travis who's still sleeping soundly. 

She playfully traced her finger through his face and giggled when Travis is trying to swat it away. She did it again and this time, Travis caught her hand. He climbed on top of her and  gently pinned her on the bed.

"Good morning, honey," he sweetly said. He looked straight into her eyes down to her soft lips. Alice gulped. The way Travis is looking at her right now made her hot. Travis leaned closely to her face. His lips brushed hers, slowly, and passionately. She responded and shake her arms, wanting to release it from his hold. Travis released her and she quickly snaked her arms around his neck. He cupped her face and deepened the kiss, ready for another hot morning with his little mate.

He groaned and suddenly pulled away. "Fvck!" he loudly cursed. Alice is panting heavily while looking at his hardened member.

"I'm sorry honey, Blake needs me," he said and got up. Alice grabbed the blanket and wrapped it around her body. She sat up and watched Travis put his clothes on.

"What does he want?" she asked. She sometimes hated it when they got interrupted by the Alpha's call but she understands that it's her mate's job to protect the pack as a beta.

"He wanted me to check the border. It seems like the warriors caught a rogue. Gabriel is out of town with Britney so I need to go," he said. Alice nodded her head. 

"I'll be back and will join you in breakfast," he said and kissed her forehead. He left the room leaving Alice all by herself. She sighed, she wanted to sleep again but she decided not to. She got up, grabbed one of Travis' shirt and wore them. She planned on visiting Paulo to asked for some medicine but she stopped throwing up yesterday. Maybe she ate something bad that explains why she kept throwing up.

She went to the door when she heard a gentle knocked. Her gripped tightened on the door knob as she saw Kamila outside, carrying a little basket in her hands.

"Hello, Alice," she greeted and smiled brightly at her. Alice wanted to frowned but instead, she gave her sweetest smile. She won't back down easily. If Kamila wants her mate, she'll definitely fight for him.

"Is Travis here?" Kamila asked looking inside the house for any sign of Travis. Alice blocked the door and crossed her arms while smiling.

"Blake called him earlier, he is kind of busy right now. You can leave it here," she said and pointed at the basket. Kamila smiled and hid the basket behind her.

"No, it's okay. I can give it to him later. It's a gift for him for touring me to the pack," Kamila replied. Alice gritted her teeth. 

"No, I insist! I'll give to my mate," she said emphasizing the 'mate' word. Kamila's expression darkened, as if she wanted Alice dead right there and then. Alice saw it and blinked twice to confirmed but Kamila just gave her a shy smile.

"Thank you, Alice," she said and gave the basket to her. Alice hesitantly nodded her head and took the basket. She knew what she saw. Is Kamila keeping a secret from them? Kamila bid her goodbye and left. Alice intently watched her and quickly went inside.
