CHAPTER SEVEN

Travis arrived at the border and saw the warriors forcefully pinning down the rogue on the ground. He had bulkly physique and a dark disheveled hair. Travis squatted in front of him and harshly cupped his face to get a closer look. The rogue is shooting daggers at him, his dark eyes is telling him that he wanted him dead.

"What do you want, rogue?" he asked. Rogues can't be trusted. They are savages and have no emotions at all. They are the ones who succumbed to the bad side. The rogue sneered at him trying to shake the warriors off of him.

"Kill, kill!" The rogue shouted in rage with a dark expression on his face. Travis heaved a sigh and nodded to the warriors. The rogue will be staying in the cell and Blake will decide what to do about him. They started pulling him away when his arms slipped suddenly attacking Travis head on.

Travis jumped midair and when he landed, he was on all fours. The rogue growled at him. He looked at the warriors and nodded his head. They need to step away if they don't want to get entangled in the fight. This rogue needs to taste his own medicine and teach him that he should not mess with the beta and the pack. He attacked once again but Travis easily dodged it and bit him on his back earning a little cry from the rogue. The rogue snarled, he didn't like what the beta did. He backed away slowly and lowered his body for an attack. He growled and pounced at Travis. Travis tried to pry him off but the rogue managed to land a blow on his belly and bit him hard on his shoulder. He grunted and kicked the rogue off. His face darkened and he became serious, his wolf is itching for a kill. No more playing. The rogue looked so small and it gives him a finite advantage that his wolf is bigger than the rogue. He lunged at him, pinning him to the ground. The rogue thrashed around, trying to break free but Travis was strong. He bared his teeth to him before sinking his teeth into his neck, killing him without remorse.

He transformed back to his human form and sat on the ground while panting. The warriors quickly handed him clothes and looked at him with admiration in their eyes. These young warriors are the future of the pack and he needs to let them see what is Blue Moon pack is capable of. The harsher the training, the better the result.

"Clean it up," he ordered while putting his clothes on. The warriors followed what he said and carried the lifeless body of the rogue to bury it. He's not that heartless because they bury the rogue that died on their pack properly. After all, the Moon Goddess created them and it's quite saddening that some chose the bad side. 

He winced in pain and looked at the bite wound on his shoulder. He grabbed his shirt and went to Paulo's clinic. While walking, he saw Kamila wandering around the park.  Kamila's smile widened when she saw Travis but it instantly faded when she saw the deep wound on his shoulder.

"What happened to you?" she asked while panicking. Travis chuckled.

"Just had a little fight with a rogue. Why are you here,  by the way?" he asked. Kamila followed him closely behind while staring at his wound.

"I was out doing an errand for Candice," she said. Worry etched her face when he saw Travis grimaced because of his wound. She can't let anything bad happen to her lover's vessel. They finally reached Paulo's clinic. He entered the clinic and saw Paulo's assistant, Jonard. 

"Where's Paulo?" he asked.

"He's in Kyrie's house. His mate is in labor and they needed Paulo there," he replied politely. Travis sighed. He grabbed a pack of tissue on the table and left Paulo's clinic while Kamila is still following him. He sat on the wooden bench while clutching his bleeding shoulder. Kamila sat beside him. She took his hands away and put her palm in his wound.

"Shavistha jakahji, heal him," she slowly chanted. Bright light appeared on her palms. She was sweating bullets. After using a spell or any incantations, her body will become feeble. This is her weakness. A genius with a frail body. She raised her palm and smiled weakly at him. She needs to earn his trust for her plan to succeed.

"Wow, h-how di you do that?" he asked, astounded by what Kamila did. "You don't have to answer that, I forgot you are different from us," he chuckled while scratching the back of his head. He stretched his wounded shoulder and beamed. It healed perfectly and without a scar. He forgot that Kamila is a witch, spells and incantations are famous in their race.

"You are amazing," he complimented. He had seen witches and warlock on treaty meetings but never saw them using their gifts. They believed that the great white witch gave them their gifts. They preferred calling their power as a gift. Kamila smiled at her even though she felt really weak. Travis saw Alice rushing in Paulo's clinic, not noticing him. His eyes squinted. 

"Wait here," he said. He quickly ran to where Alice is. Alice on the other hand panicked, she felt uneasy earlier and a warrior came to report to her that Travis is wounded due to a fight. She quickly rushed to Paulo's clinic where she believed Travis would be but she wasn't able to catch him. She slumped on the chair next to Jonard.

"Where is he?" she whispered and sniffled a cry. She wanted to know if he's doing okay.

"Honey?" Travis called her attention. Her face lit up. She ran to him and hugged him tight.

"Are you okay? A warrior told me you were injured? Where is it?" she hastily asked and examined her mate's body. Surprisingly, she found nothing. No wounds just dried blood on his shirt.

"Calm down, honey. I'm okay now, Kamila healed me," he said and gave her a smile. Alice's face dropped. It's her again. "Come, she's waiting outside," Travis said and held her hand. They excused themselves to Jonard and left Paulo's clinic. Alice saw Kamila comfortably sitting on the park bench.

"Honey, she's amazing. She used her gift to heal me and looked, no scar," Travis pointed the wound where the rogue bit him and beamed like a small child. Alice gave her a small smile. She's glad that he is safe but she hate that it was Kamila who helped him.

"Thank you for helping him, Kamila," she said and tried to smile her sincerest smile. Kamila smirked inside her head. She wanted to make Alice feel inferior to her and this is the first step.

"It's no biggie, Alice. I did it to help Travis," she said and gave her sweetest smile. She knew Alice hated her and she felt the same. No woman will take away her vessel even if she is his mate. She will make sure of that.

"Great, so would you mind having a breakfast with us?" Travis asked. Alice looked at him. She's strongly opposed on inviting Kamila to breakfast but she can't say no to Travis' pleading eyes. She sighed and put her hands on his waist. She'll just have to make sure Kamila wouldn't do something.

"I would love too," Kamila answered and stared at Alice. The play is about to begin and she swear she will become the winner.
