Chapter 6 – Hearts dancing

Wayne’s P.O.V

“I hate formal”, I huffed as I get out the shower, I wipe my body down and style my hair a little combed over, to combed over is not my style. I put my cologne on and slip my crisp white shirt on and my black suit follows, I adjust my cufflinks and sleeves now for the tie. I have no idea why my mother picked out a blood red tie for me, maybe to celebrate the power the blood moon gave us last week, many of our young pack members shifted successfully under my leadership. I put my tie on and feeling satisfied I head down to the great hall and put on my mask and start mingling with the guests that have already arrived. Just then the doors open and I feel Striker stir in me, the hairs on my skin rise giving me goosebumps as the most intoxicating scent hits my nose the smell of a woodsy smell mixed with a subtle hint of jasmine, my head snaps in the direction of the scent and I see the most beautiful sight, like the moon goddess herself has sent her own child down to the earth, there dressed in a beautiful simple yet elegant blood red dress that hugs her curves, her breasts pushed up by the dress to her slim wait and thick thighs and that ass popping in the back which caught my attention when she turned to give her coat to the butler. I felt my cock twitch and had to calm myself. I could not help but stare at her beauty, her red lipstick plumping up her already pouty lips and her mask hiding her face. I want so badly to see the beauty behind that mask, I see her eyes looking around the great hall and our eyes meet and we both realize, MATES! I make my way over and greet her not revealing my name and she seems to do the same, she greets in return and I ask her for a dance as the song “A thousand years” starts to play and at the contact of our fingertips I feel the sparks erupt all over my body and I want nothing more than to claim this goddess as my mate right here right now but I can see her having an internal battle with her wolf and she is holding back, I lead her to the dance floor and have a hard time controlling myself as we dance to the song.

Athena’s P.O.V

I enter the great hall, it was magnificent. In the centre of the room hung a great and huge chandelier and right below smack centre was a fountain flowing with what looked like, OH YES!! Werechampagne! The stairwell had a red carpet rolled out and the railings had beautiful red roses and weaved between was a shimmering silver ribbon and twinkle lights. The stage had a three parts, the first part  had a twenty musicians from the orchestra playing the most melodious music the centre stage just had a microphone and the last part of the stage had the remainder of the musicians from the orchestra. It was such a grand affair! I cannot wait to get a drink from that fountain especially.

I suddenly feel Nilsa grow restless in me as I attempt to as her what is going on with us the butler interrupts my focus and I turn to hand him my coat and thank him with a small “thank you” and a smile. I turn my attention back to the crowd as the most amazing smell of cinnamon and sugar hits my nose with a hint of a woody smell. I search restlessly and our eyes meet, and there he is in his black suit with that blood red tie looking as handsome as a freaking God that decided to show up at the party, his mask hiding the rest of his gorgeous face and the way his suit shows of his muscles and his height is amazing I want to run up and ride him right here at this party and claim him. I suddenly realize at the same time as him, MATES! He walks over and Nilsa laughs “I told you, you cant’s resist our mate”, “Yes Nilsa I can, watch me keep in control”. We continue arguing and suddenly he is in front of me greeting me and asking me for a dance as the song “A Thousand years” plays and the next thing I am swaying in his arms on the dance floor, the sparks erupting all over my body as we let our hearts dance without a care, I am so glad he didn’t ask my name or which pack I am from. I don’t want a mate, not now. I remain calm and we walk off the dance floor and get something to drink, His voice making my insides melt and my heart pounding. I am brought out of my thoughts by his question “When do I get to see the beauty behind the mask and know her full name to claim her?” I choke on the wine and look at him as if I had seen a ghost. “Excuse me?” he lets out a chuckle and sighs “You heard me sweetheart”

Wayne’s P.O.V

I chuckle seeing her reaction to my question and ignore her shocked response, her answer surprises me though “I will tell you my name and take of my mask at the stroke of midnight, but you will have to take your mask off as well and tell me your name” I lean on the counter and admire her strong personality and that booty as well, she snaps her fingers in front of my face “big dark brown eyes up here handsome” I look at her and laugh, “My word I must say I absolutely love you sass and strong personality, okay you have yourself a deal miss at the stroke of midnight I will take my mask off and reveal my name and you will do the same”. She gives me that million-dollar smile and my heart skip a beat “Perfect, till then” she raises her glass to me and walks off swaying her hips from left to right with that sass all in its glory and that ass. My mate and the future pack beta Chris join me with his glass of whiskey and nudges me. I look at him “I found her, and I can tell she will keep me on my toes from tonight for the rest of our lives”. He laughs at my comment “I like her already bro” I raise my eyebrow at him and he just shrugs it off like nothing happened. “By the way man, your dad will be handing over the Alpha title to you at midnight, something about wanting to start the new day with you as Alpha”. I look at him, “of all the times in the night he picks then?”. Chris the asks the dumbest question ever “Why?”, “because that is the time my future mate and I will reveal our identity to each other and claim each other!” he forms an “O” with his mouth and then continues “She will stay and I don’t think she will have a problem with who you are, I mean  come on bro! You are Wayne Thunders; girls grovel at your feet human or wolves. She won’t be any different”. I sigh “No, trust me. This one is different; I have a feeling I will have to chase for the first time in my life”.
