Chapter 57

Jessica looked at the man in front of her. He looked like he knew the place quite well. Was he a regular?

Just before her mind drifted away, Blake stopped. Winson pointed at the big turtle that swam across their heads and giggled. “Mama, look! Big boat!”

Blake corrected him, “It’s not a boat. It’s a turtle.”

When Jessica looked up, she saw another turtle swimming over. The two large turtles flipped their flippers like rowing oars, and they looked like a couple playing in the water.

Beside Jessica was another young couple, and the guy started to sing, “I want you by my side and we will watch that turtle swim in the sea. It slowly crawls out of the water as we watch the waves crash…”

The girl smiled and the two of them took a selfie together with the turtle.

Jessica was envious of them. She was almost their age but…she had no idea what love or youth was. Before she could experience love, she had become someone’s mother and someone’s wife.

Jessica retracted her gaze, not wanting to think about it anymore.

She took her phone and tapped Blake’s shoulder. She did not want to sign with her hands in front of others just because she did not want to embarrass him.

When Blake saw her waving her phone, he knew she wanted to take a picture of them.

Whenever he was free, he would bring Winson for a walk, but he was always alone. He never took pictures and would go back to the house as soon as the walk ended.

He looked at Jessica’s phone and frowned slightly. He instinctively wanted to reject her, but for whatever reason, he nodded.

Jessica took several pictures in one go. She snapped pictures with the turtle, the dolphin, and even the glowing jellyfish.

The aquatic creatures in this section were much more beautiful than those she had seen earlier.

It was time for the mermaid show. A beautiful mermaid with brown hair and a golden tail dove in from above and the light shone above their heads. The golden scales on her tail reflected the light, causing the bubbles around her to reflect the golden light. She looked absolutely stunning.

Jessica widened her eyes as she watched the diver swim around the aquarium in the mermaid outfit.

She had watched a movie about mermaids when she was young, and she had liked the grace of the mermaid ever since then. From the long wavy hair that moved like seaweed, the golden tail that allowed the mermaid to swim to every corner of the sea, and so on, she admired the enigma of the mermaid. Unfortunately, she could not speak.

Blake was teaching Winson the names of the aquatic creatures that swam around them, and when he turned around, she noticed Jessica had spaced out on the spot.

The blue and white light was reflected on her fair face while the white long dress made her body look exceptional and outstanding as if she was a blue flower that was growing from the bottom of the ocean.

Blake suddenly felt his strong heartbeat in his chest. However, just when he noticed his racing heartbeat, he blinked and averted his gaze away. He reacted strangely to his own feelings.

How could he have feelings for a mute? Impossible!

It was then that he remembered Jessica’s Weibo account was named ‘Flying Fish’.

He looked at Jessica again and noticed her passionate gaze at the school of fishes.

A strange surge of anger suddenly gushed into his mind and he said firmly, “We should be going.”

Jessica turned her gaze away and saw the little guy lying down on his father’s shoulder. Because the little guy had skipped his nap earlier, he was sleepy.

Her eyes unintentionally glimpsed at the man beside her son, and surprisingly, she noticed that he was angry again. It was as expected of the man with an ever-changing temper.

Winson fell asleep in Jessica’s arm in the car. He seemed to be exhausted from all the fun.

Jessica grabbed some tissues, wiped the sweat off his forehead, and then dried his neck.

Blake saw Jessica peering down at Winson, taking care of the little guy attentively through the rear mirror. Her eyes looked so intense that it seemed like Winson was her whole world.

The afternoon sun shed its light on her face through the window, making her fair skin appear holy and pure. Even the thin vellus hairs were visible.

Blake’s cold and stiff expression somehow softened.

The car moved steadily. Jessica could barely do anything with Winson in her arms. Carefully, she took her phone out to take pictures of the sleeping Winson and delete the more mediocre pictures from earlier.
